Thanks for the up Pook & Trout.

Paul I also do a cheaper 4.4Ah battery as well as the 5.2Ah battery.
They all come double sleeved and are more weatherproof to the original DX batteries.

Please feel free to email me for more info as I allways have other options available.

The other thing to remember is although its out of warranty, its hardly like youve ridden it that much as you had been too busy building lights for everyone for the last 9 months

As an update, my business cards arrived this morning. Took.7 days from placing the order to receiving them and that was with the cheapest postage avaiable.

Very impressed and the quality is very good too.

Try Madison[/url] crash replacement like Rust mentioned. Ok it wasnt a crash but i'm sure they would be keen to look at it. Plus you get a pretty heavily discounted new one in exchange.

I crashed least year and broke my wrist, my Hex had 3 complete cracks on the side which probably saved me from alot more severe crash. Mind you I did have fuzzy headaches for about a month after!

I'm toying with the idea of one of these too, ive read a few threads on here with them coming loose from the bike mounts?

I've just ordered 500 business cards from VistaPrint that were fairly cheap. The extras do mount up though if you get carried away.

The protection circuit will trip at the lower voltage limit to prevent over discharge and damaging the cells. BUT do not leave the battery in a discharged state as it will continue to discharge through its own protection circuit (only milliamps) but over time the cells/ battery will not be recoverable.
Also do not leave them fully charged (Li-Ion) for long periods. ideally 30-50%.

    As coatsey says,
Mine wouldn't budge either but with the cassette loosely fitted I gently tapped round the rear of the cassette and off she popped.

    Hi Jimmy,
If you want to send me you're battery to see if it is recoverable at all then please email me (in profile)

The battery will continue to discharge.even when not in use as the protection cicuit will drain it, only a few milliamps but over time. It can mount up even below the cut off voltage level of the circuit.

I think it may be refering to the types of connectors they are using. Never seen one but would hazard a guess they are a custom type spec to tie you down to their specific batteries/lights. May be wrong though?

I used Bikestore too. Excellent service and i've have bought few other things from them since.

As for the springs, they seem alot tougher & stronger than the old ones they replaced.

Well done Wally, who cares how big/ugly it is. Youve had the enjoyment & experience from building it up from scratch and have now got the extra enjoyment of using something youve built. 8) cant get much better than that.

Bet you had a entertaining ride this evening then Votchy  not knowing if it was going to die on you whilst on the downhills.
I would have to have the battery for a few days for testing as I would need to put it on a soak test (this does not involve water!)

It would be so much easier if there was a 'standard connector' that all bike light Co's stuck too.

Faffy & I need to keep in touch with you guys as fairly local rides to us and we didnt realise Clent had so much to offer!!

As for the 3 cell, will need to chat to Troutie, but cant see any problems meeting up for evening Clent rides to sort out problems 8)

Keep in touch though, via Mick or the weekly emails?
