My Slx rear mech doesn’t need a goat link, just wind the b tension stew in all the way.

New router won’t help with thick walls – tried it and still need extenders in a couple of rooms. I’d try a mesh system if I could go back.

    Got a petrol smax (2010 240bhp😎) as I couldn’t find a petrol touran that wasn’t way overpriced.

I think the interior is fine and it’s good for shifting stuff.

Mine can be a bit thirsty round town but 35mpg on a run.

Been snowing in Les gets this pm, it needed to. Hope it continues all night

In Les gets this week, on piste is good, follow the sun and it’s lovely. Everything between the pistes is tracked out. Couple of icy patches here and there but easily avoidable.

Would be nice to have some fresh to play in tomorrow though.

Packed and ready for les gets on Sunday, can’t wait to be back on skis again. Hopefully the missus won’t kipper herself on a black this year 🤞

Major issue with blaze when tracking a ride – if you are wearing a long sleeve top which is snug at the wrist or gloves with cuffs it will pause the ride whenever you flex your wrist – quite often off road

My Holdsworth Stelvio frame is far from noodley, admittedly I’m on a 54 and only 13 Stone so probably not pushing it to it’s limits.

All the bosses you need, clearance for 700 x 40mm + guards, good long wheelbase and relaxed head angle. Takes 650×47 + guards too

Got some friends out there, reports are that it’s fairly icy but they’re keeping the pistes topped up with the cannons as it’s cold. Some snow on the long range due the week ending 20th but not massive amounts.

My fingers are crossed too as that’s when I go out🤞

Yup they’re not light but my stelvio gives a smooth ride. Long days on rough roads are not a problem.

Is the top of the bark surface going to be level with the lawn?

If you’re trying to create a soft landing area in case of falls from height then you don’t really want edging boards sticking proud of the surface which is likely to be hard and add new trip hazards in.

You will probably want the bark to be deeper than the depth of the turf too for it to have any impact reducing properties.

British Standards EN1176 and EN1177 are a good reference here – might be able to find info on the RoSPA site too.

First suspect would be a bent mech hanger, second would be a loose qr, third please in the hub

Anyone who oversees a scheme to make a route accessible should be willing to try it out as a disabled user would experience it, i.e. vision limiting glasses or a powered wheelchair for instance, they will then see just how accessible their new path is

So **** the fells spend thousands on making the surface accessible to all then whack in a load of gates! Not very joined up thinking.

Don’t let Yell near your website – they ruined one of our previous clients ranking because they tried a load of black hat techniques which google subsequently punished the site for.

I have a sommet as does the wife. I’m 5’7″ and we have a medium and a small. The medium is not playful at all, it’s long slack and super stable – it’s great for ploughing down rocky stuff though. The small feels like a completely different bike – much more willing to change direction and pop off stuff. The small is not too small for me either.

Have you seen the Canyon Neural:On too?

M3’s are definitely not on-off – I like the feel much better that the 4 pot Guides on the wife’s bike. They’re very similar to the 2 pot Deores

Clarks M3 can be had for £50 for a set including rotors – use Deore pads and I’ve found they haul me up quick enough for Lakes and Dales riding

Ah you have an Ideal Mexico? We do too (of a similar vintage) – we found out that a major issue with these is that the exhaust on them rots through and then clogs it up meaning it doesn’t run very efficiently and will eventually start causing the pilot to go out.

These parts aren’t made any more so we currently have ours rebuilt with adhesive metal sheet every year when it gets serviced. It makes quite a difference so we tend to do it early Autumn so we get get the best of it over Winter.

Doesn’t sound like the only problem you have but worth checking anyway.

Going to run the whole drivetrain into the ground in mine then switch it to my normal bike and put the 9 speed off that onto the e-bike I think

I done made me one with an old gripshifter – yet to test ride it as it’s on a bike that’s mid-build but garage testing suggests should be ok
