+1 uplink, had one of those mates, carried nothing, climbed for fun, put our foot down when he used to lean over and drink from our camelbaks. Helped out plenty of people over years off road, on road out walking , if someone looks like they might need help costs nothing to offer. Always a nice feeling seeing someone ride off on their bike after you found them pushing it.

Never had a bad meal at the Angel inn. Nice outside on a nice day. Average price and on sight parking.

Junkyard, feel for the family dad tried his hardest, but like probaly 95% of people would love the breaks she has had in life, of which 90% would not waste.Drugs IMHO is the route of the downfall of this country.

Tough call now, would love Voeckler but cant quite see it , Andy has gone from hero to zero with me after moaning about downhill finishes, and after struggling on Tuesday and blasting like today i feel his chemist got it right.Great tour so far though long may it continue.why let a guy with that much quality ride away from the peleton? seems as bad a decision as all wiggins team sat by him lying on the ground wondering if he might carry on, surely leave one guy with him if he gets going then the rest slow down?

As Ivan says its way steeper than it looks and youll need big balls to get up it, it will warm you up nicely for a nice spin out to pooley bridge for a bite to eat and a sprint back

Daughter was 17 in April, £680 fully comp Pug 107, with elephant.co.uk, 10 month policy, to speed up no claims ,She is the main driver and for some reason she had to be the car owner was nearer £900 until I put wife and myself on it. will go up when she passes and notifies them. Was going to do it all under the wifes name but apparently they base it all on the youngest driver any way.

From personal experience packing with grease may reduce noise but I have found that the pawls sit up too much and don`t locate properly causing the cassette to slip, only my opinion.I find less is better.

The guys a legend , if you can catch him with The Alarm on the now running Sound and Fury tour you will not be dissappointed.Seen him many a time and with Big Country, always takes me back to a great period growing up in the 80s.Good value tickets , what you waiting for.

Lycra or baggies? not really a choice in my opinion. Had the same choice 5 yr back, opted for snowboarding which I have never regretted for a minute.Skiing can always go on the retirement to do list ,well thats what I think.Either way choose one and go and enjoy some of the best holidays you will ever have.

Would have to say yes, see a couple on the school run proper mingers, hold hands stare at each other all lovingly, pretty gross for that time of day, to make it worse mrs reports that they drop the kids dash home and have it all day(according to the playground whisperers). Not even slightly jealous. so would defo say yes.

Cheers for interesting replies, Bit stressed out at work which could be a point ,music good idea but never ride alone always 2 minimum(bit unfair on rest) , sorry not going to start smoking joints at 43 when all my sporting mates who have done, all became to chilled out for sport full stop.As for a road bike , too many dicks on the road in cars spending more time looking at texts than whats in front of them.Like the idea of just leaving the gym and going home, but not easy when you have driven the rest up to the destination an hour from home. Was just hoping there was a magic switch that could be flicked might have to start thinking about what i eat during the day as there is no forward planning on my behalf pre ride.

Big Country just announced a 30 th anniversary tour, sadly less the brilliant Stuart Adamson RIP, but who better to replace him IMHO than Mike Peters of The alarm ,Who has been on the road pretty much constantly with The Alarm in various line ups and solo, since early 80s ,he is probably the hardest worker in the industry.

Ran a 98 swb for a couple of years great car but no boot space ,kids meant upgrading to new lwb. Not to bad on juice if driven carefully. Would say that looks around a 1996 model and a bit over priced IMO, have a good look underneath , body can look fine underneath hammered, good luck in yiur search.

Weirdest one I heard is let him have a good night out pass out , someone then shoots off in a Durex and carefully position it in back passage, wait til the morning and see if he says anything

Lived here 40+ years, 90% friendly people,30 minutes from some of the best mtb routes around, know plenty of people who have been sent to the shipyard on short placement and never left some 60 + years, bring your bike and judge the area yourself, you may be pleasently suprised.

No special tools needed as coatesy says large allen key though from non disc side of hub,I have renewed all sorts of parts in the samehub twice in a year, after loosing freewheel twice in pain in the backside places up The Lakes plus constant clicking/clunking I have recently bought a Hope 2 hub and fitted it (28 spokes), the Dt hub was spoiling my rides and always in the back of my mind my personal opinion is the original hub is not upto 2 rides a week up the Lakes. What I have found is minimal grease around the pawls or they will not spring out correctly.

Well you know what they say, the hardest part about skiing is telling your parents you`re gay, only joking ,but as a rule of thumb over 60 years old -ski under 60 years old board all the way.
