……Choke on the biscuit with you not there to help her , you get run over, have heart attack in the st, can`t tell anyone that there is an 8 yr old left home alone ……the list is endless, thankfully 99 % of the time nothing will happen but that 1% of the time… fine if you could live with yourself, just think its easier and safer to take them with you. only my opinion!!

Nearly spat my coffee on my cornflakes when my son came down stairs with a crisp £5 off the tooth fairy, Mrs had no change previous night!!! He now thinks thats understands this was a one off first tooth payment and now happily accepts a £1.

Woody you will still be able to ski/board down , just along walk up!!!!
seriously though ,I am led to believe Les Contamines is 10 mins up road 5 free buses a day, that is more snow sure with its own micro climate and often stays open longer.

Bought a 55 plate in Dec 2006 average about 8k a year , get it serviced each year, according to computer averaged 26 mpg ,I have a heavy right foot so not bad.Might have bought four tyres in that time , set of brakes, blanked off the egr valves, been pretty much 100% reliable and a belting car to drive. carries 5 with bikes for fun!!!

A good mate packed his job in for 2 years to play, 5 computers on the go , software telling him when useless players were on line throwing money away and when there was a seat available at the table. He would get up at 8 start at 8-30 and play for the full dayshift as if it was a real job, he wouldnt go on anything he was patient beyond belief, no good for me !!!. Hes back in the real world now, employed!!never knew how much money he was ever going to have in any month, he did have one cracking day had 4 Aces and got beat by a Royal flush gutted for 20 seconds til a box came on the screen with a $70000 prize for a bad beat or something like that.Think most of that probably went during the 2 years.

Turbo for the sole reason I can change films etc on my laptop without slowing down so its a full uninterupted 2hr workout, with no stopping starting or getting off and can sit up no handed and stretch my useless back off.

Apparently at 5 feet 10 inch I should be 64-79 kg depending on build so i`ve got either 4000 g or 19000 g to loose , then I might start weighing my bike parts!!!

Royal mail a joke, sent £700+ machined components to an anodisers, Royal mail signed for, 2 weeks later phone the anodisers to see where my components are, “sorry number not recognised”, bit of detective work find out they had gone to the wall about a month previously, got onto royal mail to make a claim for lost goods as they had not gone to where I sent them, we have a signature here for them thats great where are they, we cant tell you all the mail was forwarded to another address and we are not allowed to tell you data protection and all that where it is,we have held up our side of the bargain getting them to the person signed for!!! never saw them again ,had to bite the bullet and remake, vowed never to use them again.

Did sufferfest angels last night ,thought id pretty much beat myself into the ground , nice 16" fan running which helps, looked on Garmin all three 8 minute climbs peaked at 165 bpm , can top out 181 bpm out on the road and never feel like im where I was at last night. So I assume the big fan blowing is a massive aid.

Talking to a past very good local cyclist about a recent trip over Hardknott “what did u use to climb it” “34-29” “you soft git” “why what did you use” “42-21” “what” “it was either that or if you were a girl 42-24” said it was just a case of pedaling halves or even quarters til you summit, so pretty much mental, Ive used 25 then 28 now 29 on my bikes and it aint any easier!!!!I can climb much quicker and stay down the gears much longer if I decide to tail one of the better climbers, if i`m alone its up the gears as soon as I start and spin away. As others say very much in the head in my opinion.

Burton isnt the best , its AK top end gear is good in my opinion, but you can pay 3 times that for other top brands, TK Max well worth a visit, got smithjunior a Spyder mid layer for under £10 on last visit rrp £80.

Don`t do it !!!! tons of bargains on ebay !!! Only last week got a set of Burton Idiom pants £25 brand new with tags ,I guess from about 2009 and cost about £150 then. Some people seem to change gear every season so clothes go for the right money if you keep an eye out.
As for all these dads wrapped up on the slopes in there high end gear while the kids freeze to death in budget wear , shame on you!!!LOL

1 hr 30 tops using videos, couple of blasts from the past, one guy used to record the stages of the TDF off Eurosport then ride the stage with them on the turbo even to the point of changing up and down as the terrain changed!!! another lad thought nothing of sitting on the bike at the gym for 4 hours with a book training for a 12 hr while everyone else had to wait for the other bikes, staff had a word ” ive paid my money im not using anything else” , was very selfish committed type of guy, not something i would condone.

Form sent yesterday for “first time rider” did hardknott and wrynose today after 30 miles with a slight tailwind up both, hardknott s bends at start and three quarter mark still murder 34-29 , wrynose pleasent , only out of the saddle once to change style just weaved up it.Went on Garmin connect expecting to see me red lining at 181 bpm which is what i always max out at, 174 max over both for some reason, hardknott defo felt like i was at 100%.Want to bag em both minimum 3 more times before Whitton (if accepted) so in my head I know that i`ve done them when they stare at me after 90+ miles!!!!More sufferfest required and maybe 34-32!!!!Cousins hubby always does it on H/T with slicks and I am told he is always top 100!!!
