Love it , also going very soon as in tomorrow, I take bikes as its a great way to get from digs to activities in short time, we go every year as a whole family, kids, grandkid , its the most chilled few days I have year in year out, can be expensive but you can self cater if you like, son in law loves a barby so he sorts Saturday night, the other meals we wing and see what we want at the time, same with activities , we book on site weather dependant lovely place and not a car in sight, all the busy times usually gone but we are happy to fit in as time doesn’t really mean anything for the few das you are there, last year was weird people bagging seats in the sports bar for CL final mid afternoon sat in full kit with flags and all, great atmosphere in the evening though!!

15 years for a cheap Indesit, wedding gift in 1994 only changed as was apparently the wrong colour for new house, then pretty much one every two years since then can not seem to find anything that lasts the wifes two and three times daily abuse, last time I emptied the filter there was nearly £2 in it in various coins, god knows how it passes the drum seal, had Hotpoints, Bosch you name it currently on a Hoover been ok for two months!! Good luck in the search

Called in to Richer Sounds last week came out purchasing a Sony 65″ OLED gets delivered tomorrow between 9&12 this is my Christmas Eve, price matched the cheapest I could find threw in a Sanus all singing bracket and then 24 MTHS interest free credit so £99 a month to replace a 46″ LCD Sony Bravia that was just under £2k over 10 years ago so if I get that run again I’ll call it value for money.

Mines shocking but I jacked in logging rides as it emphasized how little I was doing, just had a quick look at my mates, he became an obsessive nearly 50 year old as I lost interest. 260 rides 550 hrs just under 10000 miles ,all road bar 14 mile MTB with me last week, he works full time commutes to work 5 mile round trip every day which never gets logged rides turbo and rollers again not logged and always works overtime. How his Mrs puts up I will never know, but it obviously works for them.

    God I`m hungry!!
No place for mushrooms, must have baked beans and Coffee should be nowhere near a full English in my opinion, cup of tea all day long.

A fiver in the back pocket on a ride out rarely covers a coffee and a cake, it has to be a tenner nowadays.

Have a 1600 mm long tray sunk to pretty much level 1200 mm long screen similar to yours, towel at the end of glass to step out onto , never anything dramatic to mop up even after 3 kids showers on the run, shower is located at the end of the screen so 1100 mm from the screen end.

They have both gone rather quiet, probably sat discussing it over a pint at a STW buyers sellers convention.

Can`t believe that the slug does not just refund and say he wants both parties to be happy with the sale, he has page after page of items sold and probably making a nice little second income off here.

I am all for the classifieds being a place where you sell something you no longer need and a fellow enthusiast buys it to use.

The fellowship of man is long dead with most people.

I am probably too soft, sold some snowboarding pants on ebay the auction went silly at the end and went for way more than I thought, I pinned £20 to them with a note saying I felt they had overpaid.

I certainly wouldn’t want to have a pint with slugrider after this.

I only ever look at classified adds from sellers I recognize off the main forum and will continue with this.

As per earlier reply, Friend also kept passing out stood up weeing in the night, Dr said it was due to low blood pressure from waking up and getting straight out of bed, he`s never had an incident since taking the brace position. I choose to sit at home as  like to play Tetris on my old Gameboy.

My grandad whom I never met passed away of a heart attack on the toilet when he was 50 only meeting 1 of his 27 grand children, I often wonder if the above was a factor not thought about in 1960.

Brilliantly written, really hammers home what a tough time you really have had, really hope it helps as a coping tool, onwards and upward for you and all the family.

55 Plate Discovery 3 , bought it with 18000 miles on 11 months old now on 70000k plus a few more, never had a bill over £1000, had to fit a new battery, renew bushes front and rear, service kit on the compressor, a few tyres and just had front wheel bearings changed. That is pretty much it in nearly 12 years, it has been a joy to own and drive , Land Rovers aren’t all bad and money pits.

Mates Freelander stopped on a Cornish hill with a caravan in tow, wouldn`t set off whatever he tried it just wanted to go backwards, farmer had to pull him up and over the top, to his and his families embarrassment, it was replaced with a Disco 3 in less than a week, which happily towed the caravan all round Europe for many years.

Sending big man hugs from Cumbria at this very sad time, sadly I can`t say anything that will help, maybe let family know you don’t want space at the moment and that visits/communication are appreciated.

Top effort Ambrose and Saxonrider and anyone else that went along to represent the “unknown family”.

Really love it when strangers club together, long live “the fellowship of man” really hope we can all pass down to our children or young peers how important this is.

A few things I enjoyed Sugarcane restaurant in Dumbo was superb. The Intrepid Air and Space museum for 3 hours or so.

The helicopter ride was one of the most amazing things i`ve done, seeing it all from the air, not sure if they are running after the sad loss of lives recently.

Jimmy`s Corner bar on 44th St, cheap but great boxing memorabilia and bargain priced beer. Plus everything else about the place!!

Breakfast of Jackson Hole Steak n Eggs in Ellens stardust diner, superb experience at 7.30am to be in a rammed bar thats going full on.

No such problems back in `83 when I joined the local shipyard as a naïve 16 year old , alongside the pools club, spot the ball and the fagman was Bens porn mag club, for 20p a week you had access to his locker full of magazines on something like a 3 mag per week limit rental, about twice a year he went to Amsterdam on the proceeds and brought back some “special” magazines, that were nearly impossible to rent until they were falling apart!!

Oh the good old days, now all that and 100 times worse are available at the click of a button to the we want it now generation.

Really enjoyed the slopestyle,i just assume the commentators called it right!!
I went in to the newsagents this morning to get my paper the owner says “I watched the snowboarding yesterday really enjoyed it , that young lad was great, is that what you lot(all 45+ years old) do when you go away” I left him thinking it was,if only they knew :)

Bought a 55 plate Discovery 3 in 2006 18k on it , now on 68k also bought a Mitsubishi Shogun 55 plate in 2006 11k on it now on 70k serviced them both on the dot for about 5 years then as and when, nothing more than tyres and batteries and a few more minor bits , Disco passed MOT yesterday , needed a bulb. No plans to change either as replacement costs for either would be astronomical and they both fly round any 300 mile trips I decide to do, so don`t see the need to chuck cash at newer.
Mate said to his wife in 1962 I am buying an MG F, she said you buy that and I am gone, it`s currently in his garage being given some serious TLC.

Hi Old, St Gervais lovely little town, offers miles of pistes for all standards, plenty of accommodation.
Ouibus.com, 4 buses a day from Geneva airport , about 1hr 10 mins transfer 19 Euro each way per person.
Mates flying in solo on shorter trips use it to tie in with us as we are always large numbers on private transfers. They say its easy to book and easy to use.

Yes, loved it in the snow when it was here, left all my much fitter and faster mates behind spinning all over the show on their H/T and F/S whenever I felt like it ,which is a first as I usually keep last place in line warm. :-)

    2016 90% road 10% Full Suss
2016 Christmas present to self Trek Farley Fatty
2017 Jan – June 50% Fatty 45% road (training for 300mile over 3 days in June otherwise would have ditched it) 5% Full Suss
2017 June to present 100% Fatty.

Trail centres , Lake district high passes , beaches(loads within 2 miles so perfect) , from the front door mixes, love it , do not nail tough down hills like I would on the full suss but getting too old for that , get more pleasure out of climbing the unclimbable.

The thought of having to think of 2 Birthday and 2 Christmas presents makes this a no no!! Jail is a crazy waste of already stretched resources, he should be left to live with the 2 lots of grief he will no doubt get!!

Never ever think B&Q price is the final price, they want a sale like anyone else, I have had great success driving the price down on kitchens and bathrooms.

Lazy bugger, in the 3 weeks data available he has gone out to work under 10 hrs first week, under 32hrs the next week and so far under 8 hrs this week!!
Of the 21 he follows 3 logged a Christmas day ride while he sat with his feet up.
Wonder if they go underground at times like us kids do to try and shaft a mate!!A few year back I went out Christmas day for an hour while everyone got ready before lunch, then uploaded it at 7 pm , my mate was devastated as he liked to top the rides list and had no time to react, still mentions it now!!

Not actually a purchase but waking up on a Sunday and having a flash back , quickly logging into betting account then having to watch Chelsea at home to Villa a game I had no prior interest in to see if Villa were really good value as a kind mate kept saying at 7 to 1 for my biggest ever single bet of £150. I’ve never bet since
