I’m struggling with these claimed weights TBH.

Snap, they seem to build up lighter than Soul’s, but weight’s not everything I guess.

As he has no history, probably not (no offence to the chap); but given your history I wouldn’t buy from you either. It’s all swings and roundabouts.

Very sad, my heart goes out to those he left, my deepest sympathy.

It reminded me that backpacks can ruck up your t-shirt exposing soft flabby unsightly flesh, but looks like you had fun, so that’s the most important thing :-)

I could be talking out of my hole, but I thought cx sized tyres and road brakes didn’t get on, same with frame clearance for cx tyres.

Fair enough, would it not be easier jut to find a shop albiet a bit further away where you ‘gelled’, and then support them with your not inconsiderable purchases? Some shops would treat you nicely for that sort of custom, or do you just like them playing all hard to get

I keep hoping/wishing I can repair/rebuild the relationship, maybe I should take a tray of doughnuts in or something…

Why? Have you knobbed them about or messed them around before? If not, what are you trying to repair?

Hope so, I commute, do a bit of off road and some road racing; and enjoy them all in their own way. Cycling fits in well with my life overall, and I think it helps that I am so sad, that I can even walk past my ratty commuter in my hall and think ‘mmmmm, lovely bikes!’

A lass at work told me that Calvin Klein Crave was the smell of broken promises, which I took to be a reference to her ex, so I’d probably avoid that one if I were you…

Philconsequence – not so much sure it was a correction, just a perspective from a different area. Prior to afc the 5’s, or E’s as they were, were put on more in our area but changes to the job roles sorted this. But even then they still had more, in terms of supervision and clinical support through the nursing structure than the social workers, who have always had to be more independent in their practice. It could just be me, but I’ve always felt glad I was a nurse :-)

Unless she is really filthy (in area’s other than the housework), bin her and get a new one!

it is more than a psych nurse; who in a CMHT for example would be looking after the same type of clients,

I guess that depends on where you are based; our band 5 CPN’s get less than the social workers, but have case loads with less risk/ hassle. But the band 6’s get more top end than the top end social workers, and they have similar caseloads but the nurses don’t have the hassle of undertaking mental health act assessments. I’m just pointing out these things differ, and I’m a psych nurse so not looking to defend either side, but don’t get me started on OT’s….

What field are you looking at getting into, adults or children?

In reference to the above post, local regrading has just lost my social workers a grand of their top end salary.

Technically, it’s Kensington, but it’s less than a 10 minute walk from Notting Hill tube. Just head out past the cinema, and it’s a proper boozer :-)

Maybe the work the ILF did will be taken up by a similar organisation?

jesus f’ing wept, you would at least have hoped people that voted for this would have had some concept of what they were voting for…….perhaps you could explain to me how social capital will fill this void or perhaps identify who from the big society would like to spend their free time washing/feeding/toileting the severely disabled on a 7 days a week basis?

I know a lot of these quango’s can go, I really do, but some of them…..

Having had a pair of year old eggbeaters seperate themselves from the crank, I’m not convinced by them. They are pretty and if the new ones are better, I’d go for a pair.
    But;

admittedly i do strip and clean them every 4th ride or so. Damn good pedals.

If I had to strip and grease any bit of my bike every 4th ride, so for me at least once a week, I would consider it utter shite!

So only fatties can talk about being fatties, yep that should help sort it!?

For the majority I would suggest an over active pie arm and an allergy to salad seems to cover it, there are exceptions but…

If you applied the same thought process to the rest of STW, you could probably talk yourself out of riding a bike too 8)

I married and divorced pretty young, I decided I would steer clear of long term relationships, whilst I thought this wouldn't last and don't rule out getting married again, I don't think I've had a relationship last much over 6 months in the last 10 years, and it's been a blast :-) I really enjoy being single, I can't say it's better or worse than being in a relationship, it's just a different set of pro's and con's. I date but I'm not on the hunt for the 'one', as so many of my peers seem to be. You can tell with some folk that when you meet them they are desperate to work out if you could be that 'special one', where as I'm generally more worried about how good the food is. I find getting dates pretty easy, and find some basic manners, and a bit of a sense of humour go a long way!

Got to be a troll, you knew the costs, she ran up the bill…….perhaps for your next trick you could fill your shopping trolly with everything from the organic and finest ranges and see if they will let you have half for 'nowt.

There seems to be a theme with the OP not getting a price he thinks is correct for goods he wants to sell, a speccy frame and fork and a ticket to one of the bike events. But to stiff someone, when you are happy to take the luck of the ebay 'draw' yourself, is pretty poor. I doubt what I or anyone else on here will think of him will make much difference to how he trades as some people would rather have a £100 than folks respect.

That enigma does look good, and I bet you won't run in to many on the trails, but £900 on a steel frame….

Much as I love real ale, I'd rather blow a tramp that be subject to a folk band. With regard to pricing, don't some beers cost more than others so prices will vary abit bit dependant on brew. I'll happily pay more for a quality brew, and if I was attending a charity do I'd expect to be subject to a bit of 'charity tax' on prices

Sound's rubbish fella, I have been in a similar situation, and I decided to take the hit and end it. The following year was pretty grim, but this seemed better than decades of ongoing grim. Although 'panic' sex can be great, it won't last, you have to remember what your sex has been like for the last year or so for a better prediction of what it will be like in the future.

All LBS's are not the same. I wouldn't not use my LBS because another LBS somewhere else didn't do what someone else wanted. These threads would be far more useful if the were; 'X cycles **** up my bike', then other users of that shop could offer their opinion, and even the shop could have their say. At least there would then be some balance of opinion, rather then a thread based on my LBS is great versus my LBS is toss.

Sorry but STW has taught me that although you may believe you are OK, you will at some point wake up dead and it's your helmet that will have done it. At present it is only specialized's helmet marketing hype that is keeping you alive, where do I send the flowers?

Over a decade using them, no worries here. I currently use daily disposables and always seem to have a surplus so can take spares out, but I can't recall ever having to use a spare. I guess you should take something to clean your hands if they are covered in shite before shoving them in your eyes, I've never bothered, but you probably should.
