Didn’t one jump out of his car into moving traffic?

Perhaps he loved them too much :-/

Changes have been for the better, imo; i did notice on twatter that one of ‘them’ was threatening legal input if their posting history wasn’t deleted. It kind of dispells the myth that they are great bloke in real life and only tools on here.

As a true STW’er i have not read that article and even if i did it would not change my opinions one bit. To be fair, i don’t want to ride with any of you.

Thats all i have to say on this matter

When you started this thread you clearly had more to say; has they fact it’s not really gone your way changed that. One off the ‘selles’ list for me.

The only way thus thread would go well, if it was saying his you and the buyer had got this sorted. This just makes you look shonky.

The bottle cage mounts damaged in the post…..yeah right. You should refund and claim the damages.

Black-and-white/all or nothing borderline mentalities? -Check.
    Tinfoil hat conspiracy theories? -Check.
Kneejerk outrage at the drop of a hat? -Check.

Seems that all separates the daily mail and stw forum is a bit of chat about cycling.

Did the same with a road tube the other day; was in a rush, powered it up to about 100psi and noticed the bulge. Popped the pump off and in a moment of stupidity decided to have a closer look , just went to push the valve and reduce the pressure and bang! instantly blind from the powdery stuff and ears ringing, it took a minute to register what had happened, and then i had a massive bout of the chuckles!

Got the spec deflect which have nice padding for nippy tons, but also the 6 quid px’s for commuting and shorter runs; more feel than the spec’s but way less showerproof.

I had a grim stack about a decade ago road riding down mt etna; bits of my face are plated and screwed back together, muchos expensive dental work, and a skin graft that means i have pubes growing out of the side of one of my fingers. I still keep a 5 o’clock shadow to help cover some of the facial scars which serve as a daily reminder to me to what can go wrong. But i guess you make a choice, i could look at those scars and fret, but instead they remind me of how lucky i was and that i should get out there and enjoy it. It took 9 months for me to bike again without too much pain, and about 18 months to go full bore and race again .
I wish your mate a good recovery, but you need to have a word with yourself and get back on any bike you fancy and sort your own recovery. Good luck!

Took about 3 to 4 months of hard riding for my model c bearings to fail which I did find worryingly fast. But replaced with some fag bearings, and these have been ticking on for 9 months now and still feel sound. I just figured, cheap wheels, cheap bearings; but the rest of the wheel has stood up well so far so not really grumbling for the money.

Yep, i prefer function over form, so didn’t buy the andystand as i thought it costly and a limited. I like to support British companies, but won’t pay over the odds just because it’s British. Pretty thou.

    £10-£15 sounds fair to me.

I’ve never got the cake or beer thing, most bike shop spanners I’ve met would need instructions with either to ensure they could ingest them without injury. F1 mechanic’s they ain’t.

Nope, but considering DX just sent me an led wall mounted lamp rather than the foakley’s I ordered, and have been ignoring my attempts to get this sorted, and it turns out paypal are also totally toothless in helping; I can’t think that I will. The led lamp was even scratched to ****.

It was always speculated that his stay at sky might be a short one. Cav’s a leader and a winner, makes sense he goes to a team that supports that. Be great to see him competing properly again, and might see more of him in the classics with the right support.

Nothing better than pulling up to your mates ripping up a massive one handed skid whilst flipping them the finger with your free hand. Proper gnarr.

he ambulance is up at GT all the time, they get multiple call-outs there on summer weekends. In fact the local hospital has complained about it a few times I believe.

Perhaps we could also make football and rugby non contact too? Without having the exact figures to hand you will find nationally that these sports place a bigger burden on the hard working tax payer. Other physically demanding sports have also been known to cause injury; we could frown at them to. Be better if we all stayed at home and didn’t bother really.

The ones i tried were 24h; was steep climbing where I noticed the flex.

I got some ultegra wheels cheap so thought I’d give tubeless a blast., and I’m currently on my second set of atoms. No problems; a bit of stans fluid and a track pump and 15 mins, all is good. I use them on my trainng bike. How are you finding the Alpha’s? I’ve ridden a club mates and my 63kg frame was enough to flex them, not sure if it was the build, but i wasn’t won over by them.

Great bike the S1, i had four years racing one into the ground before some sub-human half inched it. Your saddle looks slightly depressed though, and chain on the big ring, where is your pride 🙂

Brant – what are those wheels?

I can’t wait to see Froome off the leash, be it to a great success or not, racer’s got to race!

He had a whine, but did his job. If it was wasn’t wiggo he was riding for most people wouldn’t give a shite. It doesn’t detract from wiggo’s achievements. I can’t imagine Brailsford relying on sentiment, he will back the strongest horse at the time and work to his plans. I’m a cycling fan; and i’m happy to see any rider reach their potential. I want them to win races, not be my mate.
