I knew of bumpf and codswallop, maybe it’s a class thing  although the BBC has just called me a Precariat.

I just looked up the last one :D I know a few people who I’m going to call a blatherskite next time I see them

Stanmer park is king for singletrack, and you can park at the sussex uni for free at the weekends (as long as there isn’t a football match)It’s not too hidden but your best bet would be to find and follow someone to make the most of it.

The Wildpark next to stammer park is your best bet for short DH runs, plenty of berms and small jumps concentrated into a few min run should put a smile on your face.

In the same ride you can also easily hit the south downs, very open and long shallow climbs to clock up some miles.

I went today for my first time. Conditions were fine for riding. a few muddy patches here and there. In fact most of these were frozen solid so glided straight over the top without getting bogged down. However I was disappointed by the amount of trails which were closed… I should ask for my £2 back! Loved my first taste of Swinley, I’ll be defiantly be going back soon.

You can get Stans Flow Pro2 set for £285 new…but can’t remember where!

I got mine from winstanley cycles for less that £300 last month… but they’re more expensive from here now.

I went though this last month! Pro 2 evo’s on your choice of stans seems to be the winning combination! I can recommend flow ex’s, especially if you’re a big guy hitting tail centres!

check that the bearings are properly seated/circlips fitted correctly for the adaptors.

I’ve got some 15mm adapters from hope but these didn’t come with circlips. Should I be using circlips with them? I just pushed them into the hub.

Sounds like revelations are highly recommended… but which model? the top end ones all seem to have tapered steerers and only stocked in White!

I never would have considered a magura fork… I’ll look into that one

So nobody has anything good to say about fox? are the revelations and thors in a different league to a talas?

I was under the impression until recently fox were the best fork to have… is this really not the case then?

I should also add I need a 1 1/8, not ready for tapered yet… I’ve only just this week finally put my 9mm axled hope xc hubs to rest  I got a good 8 years out of them! Got some pro 2 evo’s now so more flexible with axle options :D

It’s much more difficult to bunny hop over stuff with a squishy squishy rear
