    Thoughts please…
I’m a mtber really but with costs of a young family at the moment we’re going to be down to one car. I’m thinking about a Kaffenback for my commuter but also to use for longer rides from home that would be road based but also some gravel byways and the odd off-road path in the woods. Wondering how the Kaffenback would fare with some fast rolling CX tyres for a bit of gravel or is it likely to be a bit steep and twitchy??

Islandhopping are the biggest crowd there. They do lots of leisure stuff but plenty of MTB too. https://www.inselhuepfen.com/en/category/tour-types/mtb-boat/

Not even opened the box, anyone want to buy it for the same price before I send it back for a refund? Think they are back up to 90 now.
    Thanks

Are you still moving this on?
    Cheers!

Another option. Either filled with gravel/sand or not.

    Thread hijack, but relevant…
Anyone know if the MRT and Helimed callsigns can communicate on PMR446? MRT most likely can but I dont know about the Coastguard and Rescue/Air Ambulance helis.

Trying to be helpful…. Number two for us was a strong wriggler. We’ve had him in pull-ups for ages and he is only starting potty training now at 2y3m. It means you just stress about the clean up and dont have to keep pinning them down to get the new one on.

I shopped around and eventually just went for a Shimano one! It is actually a perfectly functional component and the composite construction on the SLX is pretty clever!

Mate of mine, Phil, is setting off on 22 Feb. A few I know have done it before. Proper adventure!

Early on in the relationship with my now-wife I had to pluck up the courage to mention that she ate crisps with a method generated scientifically impossible levels of noise. Otherwise she was ticking all the boxes. Could of gone either way and even now, 12 years later, she occasionally mentions sarcastically that she is eating her crisps quietly especially for my delicate ears. Ironically I’m actually pretty deaf to a lot of things!

Never had a problem with mine, but then I’m in it twice a day every day so the airflow might help.

I have one of these which is similar:
    https://dolittle.co.nz/
I would say just get one! We dont use ours lots but the kids love them, more so than the Thule front seat we also have. No. 2 has just started using it (he has just turned 2) and No. 1 used it until she was about 4 and a half. Great fun!

Fitted to a Norco Fluid. A mate put his lad on a DH bike a couple of times too at about 3yo!!

To be perfectly fair to CRC, the issue is likely with sram [distributor] being non communicative not crc.

This is always a pet hate of mine. Under Consumer Guarantees your contract is with the retailer. What relationship they have with their supplier is up to them and they are still obliged to sort you out in a fair timeframe.

I commute around 3 miles on flat-bar rigid bike with 700c wheels and 1x8speed transmission and Marathon tyres. Perfect tool I reckon. Looks pretty dull (and dirty!) but fairly quick and super reliable. Chains and cassettes last years of everyday riding in all weather and the 8 speed rarely needs adjusting. Only improvement would be disk brakes for wet riding and less adjustments.

Assume evening meal as there are plenty of decent daytime cafes. Little Mexico in Hexham could be worth a look but it’s not open late.

Giro DND. Bit pricey but if they’re as durable as Hoxtons they’ll be worth it!

    On special at Merlin….

You might also like to consider that if you do come off and properly mess it up you might not have insurance cover for a pre-existing condition?

I’ve got a good condition Superstar Signature saddle which might be the same shape? I think they are made by velo so might have a model number on the base. I can check tonight.

Seems crazy to write off a wheel for a simple part. Basically the freehub side end caps was on very tight and when I tried to loosen it the axle cracked at the disc side. The walls are very thin around the 12mm socket at the disc end.

I’ve actually ordered a very cheap Fulcrum wheelset from CRC as an emergency fill-in. Seems bonkers but so be it.

I have an industry contact at Giant and seems they have the equivalent part in 142mm but not in boost spacing! Might have to order a whole hub from them.

    I am with Lunge.

I’d love a pair of trousers, but having a 32/33″ waist and 34/35″ inside leg I have yet to find anything that fits. Those polaris trousers looked great – at least they quote the inside leg, which most manufacturers dont – but I need a Medium for the waist measurement and an XXL is just long enough.

3/4 tights and shorts for me, with sealskin socks.

Perhaps HebTroCo could do some HebTroMtbCo trousers for tall folk? 😉

Maybe take a look at Keela as they do three leg lengths for all sizes?

I got some of these last week. Out in 4deg and raining at the weekend and I was the only one not suffering with cold hands. But sounds like you might want to try lobster gloves of some kind?
