Had one for while, found it hard and the way it kicked up at the back would hurt my coccyx on a long ride.

Maybe I just need a big dose of MTFU !!! 😛

Funny you should ask, I had been considering a new thread along the lines of ‘recommend me a comfy saddle’. Is there really such a thing as I never seem to get to grips with what I’ve had. Is it more of a case of, you get used to it the more you ride. I’m using a Fizik Arione ATM as recommended by someone. Not what I’d call ‘all day comfort’ 😯
Couple of hours in it yesterday and I know about it today 😕

I’m just excited at the thought of being able to ride again and get fit.

I’m reading that as though you haven’t been ABLE to ride ? Sorry if I’ve read it wrong.
I have been able to but have spent last 3months of 2010 making excuses not to, holidays, man flu, too busy etc…Still, I’m excited at the prospect of making a fresh start this year, started with a couple of hours out yesterday. I have to be careful not to overdo it at first, I have a habit of getting my mind set but the body can’t cope. My arse is too tender today for it to see a saddle so a little walking and gonna go to Tod Cross for a watch.
Good luck Bushwacked in 2011, hope it brings you what you want.

Add a ‘buy it now’ to your listing for the price that he/she has agreed to pay and get them to click on it. You still have the protection then if it all goes tits up.

Edit: just read your post again. Why end it early? he/she is the highest bidder and you are happy with price being offered. Let it run, if he/she is outbid then you’ll be in for more money, if noone else bids he/she is still the highest bidder. I thought that ebay advice was to report ppl who ask you to remove listings to sell to them. Not used it for a while though.

I did read something yesterday about ‘the flu’ and it said that extreme excercise would weaken the immune system, not due to the excercise itself but due to the dehydration caused by that excercise, the cells simply don’t have enough fluid to function properly.
I was feeling a bit ropey yesterday, that’s why I was looking up info. I had a 2000mg boost of vitamin C before bed and feel ok this morning. I was thinking of riding this afternoon though and I bet I’m feeling rough tomorrow 😕

The only difference is the length of the plastic tube in between the cups. I have an Ulterga BB and a XT BB in the garage. In fact, just checked, I have 3 XT BBs 😯 and an Ultegra, all brand new never fitted as I use Hope BBs in my bikes.
The cups be the same, the connecting tube is longer on the mountain one.
LX cranksets won’t go in a road bike, too long.
Road BB cups without the tube can be used in a MTB

P.S. anyone want to buy a shimano HT2 BB?

    BeOne Chase 2010

I’m looking for the same thing and have these on my list. Not for racing, my commute is 10miles and can do 75-80% of it on canal bank. MTB takes me about 45mins, thought a cross bike might reduce that time slightly, if not make it a little easier.

Is it not just a pro2 freehub with pro3 bearings in it? Or do they have a wider external diam?

Pro 3 bearings do not fit in a pro 2 freehub. The smaller bearings (as there are 2 sizes in there) of the pro 3 has an outer diameter of 26 mm and are also in a different place within the freehub body. The smaller bearings in the pro 2 have only 24 mm diameter. The pro 2 and pro 3 freehubs are only the same on the outside, the internals are very different.

Victory Vs when they had ether and chloroform in them

I remember the Victory V factory was in my home town. I just wiki’d it and apparently they are still available via a different manufacturer but unfortunatly no longer contain chloroform or ether. 🙄

That is a pro 3 freehub, which as coatesy says is different to a pro 2, what you should have is 2 15×24 bearings together in the pawls end and a 15×28 in the threaded end and only one spacer between them. What you have is 2 17×26 bearings seperated by a spacer and a 17×28 seperated again by another spacer. You will have to change the freehub. see the Hope website for exploded drawing of the pro 2

Thats a pro 3 bearing, can’t tell if it’s a pro 3 freehub without seeing the other end. Pro 2 freehub bearings are 15mm id

I want a cross bike and the boardman cx appears to be a good buy at 1k. On xmas day only, halfords had a 10% off for all orders making it 900, only after adding it to ‘my basket’ the website revealed no stock, anywhere 😡

I use flats at trail centers and in snow and spds for all the rest of the time

I use spds all the time but have wondered if it might be better to use flats for trail centers, I seem to have so many low speed ‘offs’ where I wasn’t able to clip out when I felt the need for a dab. I never have a problem with XC, I like to ride the lanes around the Dales and always feel comfortable being clipped in but never feels right around trail centers, or maybe it’s cos I’m useless 😳

No, I don’t get that either, we are very high up and quite exposed where the wind seems to blow contantly so we often have the opposite to you, as the flue warms up the draw does increase even more and I’m continually turning the fire down for a time after lighting it.

only do 5k pa here and just bought a brand new car
    Tax £free first year
    Insurance £300
    Servicing £0
    Tyres £0
    MOT £0
    Bits and pieces £0
    Fuel (60mpg at 1.25pl) £464

15ppm BUT I recon my total 5 year costs will be

Tax (free first year then £30pa) = £120
    Insurance £1500
    Servicing (2 full and 2 inters) = £600
Tyres (probably need fronts at 15-20k) = £100
    MOT (year 4 and 5 it’ll go up so) = £130
    Fuel (60mpg at 1.25pl) = £2320
    Cost of car £13k
hopefully still worth 5k after 5years with 25k on the clock.
    That’s £12770 in 5 years for 25000 miles so 51ppm
If I did 10k pa that comes down to about 36ppm

Yes it will, you just need to buy the kit that foxyrider mentioned.

bruneep – I’ve sold stuff on here, and bought stuff too and I’m not sure I agree.
For example I put an item on here with a full description, lastest model, little use etc. etc…so I put ‘pics on request’. Some guy asks for pics so I take the pics and post them but he never replys again????? Why, what the frig did he think it would look like? I sold that item to someone who never saw those pics.
I have an example the other way, I put an ad on with pics (multiple) for an item that I described ‘as new’ condition and a full description, model number etc……some plank then asks me if I can send him pics ‘showing the condition of the item’….WTF?????????? the pics were in the ad
I agree with theotherjonv, what do poeple think a ‘as new’ or ‘unused’ item looks like??????? just google it FFS!!!!

    Rant over 😳
