    HI all

I know the feeling, I am addicted to bikes and it is only this year my son, Matthew has learnt to ride a bike , or rather riding his sisters old bike or his mum vintage 92 Hardrocks, and he’s now 13.

Matt suffers with aspbergers syndrome and would make an excellent health and safety rep, however eventually overcame his fears. spent most of the summer hols on his bike

You may of heard me shouting left brake or change gear around Delamere or Llandegla!!!

stick with it, it’ll fall into place

No shed here, but use garage for bike storage, as well as eveything else-coal/log store, tools etc
It would appear that the sheds shown here are for single purpose, ie bike storage. does this mean that you have a seperate shed for all activities!!!

The argument I believe is that the forests where established for the national good, ok it was due to a national shortage of wood following the first world war, however this is a case of selling something that belongs to all.
How can it be that a few can make that decision and how would the proceeds be spent, would we have any say in this!!

Thanks for the feedback all, will leave for another month as we have a couple of hard frost here in NE Wales over the last few mornings, however tackled the leylandi hedges yesterday.

Strange how it didnt flower last yesr, not sure of variety, plain green leaves flower spikes black with orange type flowers. Perhaps its the prune that forces the flowers?

Mcmooter, lovely garden, is that your own or do you work as a gardener at someone else place!!

Hi, broke my scapula in June 07, broke lower part of joint off. Consultant left to heal on its own, 6 weeks in sling.
However also suffered with “winging”, shoulder blade slightly proud on back. Was sent to nerve consultant from Liverpool who said at the time one of the three nerves down the arm was damaged, This is due to I,d say by now permanent nerve damage.
Looking from the front my left shoulder is now definately narrower, weakness/tiredness when lifting due to nerve damage.
The “electric” shock effect down my arm and into fingers can be brought on when reaching rearward to put on a rucksack
Basic physio through NHS, and determination to get on with it.

Oh and when I sleep on my left hand side my AC joint jumps!!!

As “oglyndwr” says very muddy at moment, Over the top route above the forest like a bog. Best to leave til dryer weather arrives.

My local patch, just one moan if people take energy drinks with them, please take your empty plastic bottles home, the wall at the top of the climb as you cross the Offas dyke path is like refuse skip !!!

Remember if its got dual air, then lower for coal and top for logs. May require some setting up and change with each log load.
    Sounds like unseasoned wood.
We opted for multi fuel as my experience with wood burning proved that you require your own private woodland to keep up with the stoves demands.
At present we are burning Supertherm ovals-hot and virtually no residue!

People across the road have an X5 and one of those tall golf/suv types, dropped their kids of at school the other day in my trusty Primera!!They couldn’t get of their drives, but their again they didn’t make any attempt to clear snow/ice either
The golf thing is even parked with the front wheels over the crest of their drive so it can get out.
Really what is the point in these vehicles

    Still miss my Disco though

Welcometo the world of Primera faults

I own 51 reg 1.8, so far uneven tickover has required replacement of timing chain, crank/cam sensor, coil pack on cylinder 1 and full strip clean/test of injectors.

and guess what the engine warning light is still on and “hunts” on part throttle, apparently there are faults with wirin looms!!!!

All very good taking the rough with the smooth attitude, but in our case we started out paying our endowment to Royal Sun Alliance. they then decided to get out of the endowment market and sold us all on to Resolution. we are the “zombie” policy holders.

    No options just sold on.

Now apparently Resolution are doing all right, however as we were originally with Royal Sun we dont get afull share in this. Still paying monthly payments to them though!!

When you take out an agreement to cover a set amount you would think that in its 21st year out of 25, that it should be improving/catching up to the agreed amount.
Its not as though we have decided not to pay the agreed monthly contribution

Obviously the final bonus will make all the difference!!!

fortunately we have had the option/ fortunate position to use the endowment as investment rather than paying the mortgage off. But is everyone else in this position

We had a close call with a boot mounted bike rack in Bwlchgwyn, bikes grounded on speed bumps on Brymbo road ( I think thats the name of the road) in front of the stone cottages.

Bikes lifted of rack and only bungees saved the day!!

Aparently the speed bumps had already been lowered at this point according to resident who came out to see what all the shouting was about!

    Be warned

I've been looking at campers for 12 months or so, but cant justify the price/ age/mileage.
so instead of buying something with corrosion , knackered mechanicals decided to go for a cheap caravan.

Tow it, set it up ,ride, stay overnight, ride tow home. oh and if you need something inbetween you dont have to take your " accomodation" with you!!

I think the Lib Dems have commited political suicide. yes they've got their hands on some power, but come the next election why vote Libdem you might well as vote Tory.
Any ideas of reform have gone to tied up for that now and Mr Cleg would lose his best friend!!

Right its fitted, allowing plaster to dry out at momment.
We went for the multifuel option, however, if your burning wood do you just light the fire on the base of the stove!!
It would appear that once you convert it to wood only the ash pan no longer fits?
    Your experience please

My boss makes cider as a sideline, basically he scrats the apples, presses the pulp, transfer into a tank, adds yeast and lets it bubble away. Once this has finish he transfers it into either a variable capacity tank ( keeps the air out) or transfers it into ex whisky or brandy barrels depending on flavour.

Thre is some chemistry aswell but thats aclosely guarded secret!!!

The cuts have already started, it amazes me that they, Kraft, have waited to see how the Cadbury setup as it stands pans out.
Makes you wonder if the Cadbury directors etc were that resistant to change?

OK then, so its going to be rather chilly in the loo that'll please everyone!! to be honest since I've opened the vent and reduced the TRv setting the condensation has gone.

On the cavity wall episode when I had the double glazing fitted I had all the windows fitted with the ability to open them, yes being raised on open fires etc I realised you needed some form of draught for the fire to burnt.

So in our lounge there are three windows but that still isnt enough for present legislation. Apparently the next owner maynot be that clued up on how combustion works!!

Looks like leaving the radiator on the freeze setting and the window on vent.

On the subject of venting have had a guy round to look at cavity wall insulation, however because we have an open fire he would have to fit a 5" vent in the lounge. It would be like sitting in howelling gale, anyone else had this problem?

The trouble is that the water inlet to the house is about 2' away, the first T is on the feed pipe is to the wash hand basin and cistern. I wondered if its down to just the temp' of the incoming water, winter and all, but it didnt happen on the old cistern.
Could be the different ceramics in the cistern?
