Personally I prefer a larger stove gives you the flexibility. So depends on where you live, altitude, climate etc. In my experience unless you’ve got your own wood land running it on pure wood will work out more expensive that buying a multi fuel
Had good experience with Charnwood and Arada stoves

I have a 26″ long travel steel hard tail and a rigid 29er, horses for courses, I think the 27.5, the plus size is just markrtin, does the average rider really see the difference.
As regarding new wheel sizes etc, met three youngish guys top Llandegla the other week on e bikes, what is the point if you dont like riding bicycles then buy a motorbike ahh wont be able to ride round Llandegla though, however the track to the masts is so cut up now it probably has been ridden by weighty e bikes

    Hi all

Our pond has been suffering with hair/ filament algae growth through the summer.
Physically removed with a rake, resorted to a treatment.
3 weeks since I added the treatment and continued clearing the pond has turned copper orange, a surface film has formed.

The treatment shouldn’t affect fish or other wildlife but worried I have damaged the balance.

    Any experience

No not hard water area, North East Wales, they seem to break up into either grit or sand. Put it down the machine fully drying out in storage.
Runnig the machine then clearing filter housing out eventually will flush through

    Public money/ public access.

Bizarre as it may seem, I have building and contents insurance for this sought of thing or perhaps I’ve been paying all these years when I don’t really need it, obviously the county council will pay.

Thanks for your experiences, dont know what percentage deposit will be paid until tomorrow. We are the end of the chain, getting our money out before looking for a property.
worryingly we were held up initially by a gifted deposit, just hoping that mortgage checks are all above board.
already renting storage for our contents

Interested in that pic of the meandering river, which is the natural coarse of events on flat wide valleys, ox bow lakes and such like. However on steeper ground water/rivers will always find the quickest way down. When in flood doesn’t the river attempt to “straight line” its route?

Sorry to upset some people on here but more people ,means more housing means less land to absorb surface water. Ruthin has seen a prime example of in appropriate developement

Sad to see the thread being turned political, but in the cold light of day rivers do tend to flood by increasing the height of the banks its moving the problem on somewhere down stream.
If you either are a believer or not in global warming with a wetter climate this is going to become more common event.
the existing homes will have to be flood proofed as much as possible, hard flooring concrete wall coverings etc but land is precious or this tiny island and building more homes on natural flood plains isn’t going yo help.
immigration isnt helping matters, building firms can throw up new homes on said flood plains, walk away with the cash and leave it too EA, councils and insurers to sort out
    Rant over

Or perhaps the house building firms may have to also invest in the local infrastructure in order to get planning bit more of a rant

We stayed at Bridge cottage off Forge road this August beautiful spot but right on the river, lower floor was only couple of feet above the river level then. Hope those ancient bridges which cross the river survive.

which as I though but why the hold up
Read something about negotiating down a price, which we all do, and then using that reduction as a”deposit” not sure how correct this is
