I’ve had a lt of home hub issues and got most of it sorted using the forum moderators, better than the call centre.

I have ridden at Swinley for many years and my wheels always remain firmly on the ground. I have been to Afan and Glyncorrwg twice and loved them both. There are bits that get the heart racing but by far my biggest shock is always the climbing.

    Have a great day!

Had it a while now, very fast and reliable. I did have some problems with the home hub 3 and wireless. The WLAN kept dropping out, I signed up to the bt forum and contacted the moderators who’s sorted a replacement hub straight away. All good now.

My wife is a nurse working in a very busy Oncology unit. She has her own job to do and now also the job of another department due to staff leaving. The staff are leaving regularly but not being replaced due to cuts!
She works longer hours than contratced and is not paid any extra. She is constantly abused by the public who are forced to wait long beyond their appointment time due to the lack of staff.

Many times after she has come home in tears I suggest she leaves, but as a caring person she says ‘yes but then that gives the problems to someone else’.

She qualified over twenty years ago, and agrees the ‘new’ degree nurses don’t want to get the hands dirty and many of them don’t understand the principles of basic care.

Oh and the best bit…….. she’s just had her pay cut!

I wouldnt make any changes as yet. The Blackberry servers still seem to be a bit hit and miss. Wait another day if you can, to see what happens once the servers are stable.

I had a prolapse L5/S1 about two years ago, to the point I couldn’t walk that well (really bad Sciatica and foot numb). Tried Physio, then a micro-discectmy, then more Physio but none of it worked.

I then had the disc removed and fused with a cage and a variety of nuts and bolts. Its getting better now and I can do about two hours over Swinley. It seems to be taking ages but it is getting there, it beats not being able to ride.

Good days/and some not so good days. Good Luck.

My wife who has been working for the NHS for 10 + years as a nurse has just been told all the nurses within the Berkshire trust are getting a pay cut!!

I can’t discuss it with her as I am so annoyed.

Why can’t you all stop the whole “all I get/got” “me me me” little world you live in and give congratulate this guy. I’m sure in twenty years he will have shown more bravery than the rest of us put together.

Good one the Manc police! The chavs need to learn some respect and fear of the police. When we were kids in the 70’s we were terrified of the SPG who didn’t hesitate to give out a hiding.

I would’nt use these companies as I used to work for one many years ago. We used to meet just outside the airport and then race back to the compound, there were other competitions such as the longest wheel spin etc….

I had that process done about 10 years ago, kind of scary while its being done as they control your heart. But no pain apart from the sting of the local in the groin. They did it then tested the heart by increasing the heart rate and then lettingit settle on its on. All been fine since the moment I walked out of there.
    Good luck

Yes I agree, but half term and too much COD Blk Ops meant I had to get them out into the air 🙂

The problem is Swinley and rain = grinding paste, you can feel the bike wearing out. Has to be done though.

Went to swinley this morning, took my son and his mate who dosent really cycle much. Stayed mainly on fire roads but had a couple of tries of single track, which was wet! I did notice a section that had work done and a sign asking not to use so we didn’t BUT the amount of tyre tracks going into it showed the signs were being ignored. The section was over near crowthorne woods and normally has some good berms in a down hill section.

Had the same problem on our Focus 1.8 Zetec

There was a split on a pipe that was allowing to much air to be drawn in when the throttle was off.

Before you spend any money check all the pipes sitting behind the carb.

Just gone that route with a three bike 9503 and used it only once so far. It was much easier than taking apart and putting in the car and both bikes went on really easy. I put a lock and cable through the rack and under the towing hook and the rack was still there when I got back 🙂
It was scarey seeing the bikes move about in the rear view mirror though.

We did (me, wife & two kids) two weeks touring Jasper, Banff, Lake Louise etc ….

Really good fun and a variety of Camp Sites from full service at Tunnel Mountain (Banff I think that was) to very basic at Jasper.

The driving didnt seem a task and the great thing was just pulling up at a layby/rest area and having everything you need on tap.

Looking forward to going again 🙂

I’ve been using Kaspersky for two years now, it seems to be more stable than Symantec. If you bank online with Barclays you can get it free, if not you can get it on Amazon for £25 for 3 pc’s.

Just had 18 months off the bike after spinal fusion following a disk giving up. In fact Sunday I made a return to swinley and felt reborn!! I adjusted the saddle position and brought a shorter stem to give me a more upright position.

    I don't think I would buy one.

Had a WB for nearly ten years. Brought service contract two years ago, had a problem last winter and when WB came out they just changed all the major components rather than trying to find a fix. Basically almost a new boiler. Worth the contract money.
