My first car was stolen from a tube station, an ex-police panda car. Blue and white Allegro with rubber bungs on the roof from the Police sign. The Police found it two weeks later in Wembley, told us it appeared drivable. We went to collect it and it had no engine, seats, lights, steering wheel, wheels, doors etc etc…

We have two Westies and have been using James Wellbeloved but have recently changed to Burns and have to say they seem to be doing well on it. http://burnspet.co.uk/

I had L5/S1 fused a few years ago and tbh I tried to get back on the bike to soon and I ended up with more sciatica problems. I wish I had listened to the advice – Stay on the pain killers (change them if you have side affects, but stay on them) and really listen to the physio.
Oh and don’t go to the first physio you find, research one that specialises on your issue.

It takes time but you will get there if you want too.

Not just roadies. I’ve been riding Swinley for many years and have to say it has sadly become the most unfriendly place. Saturdays you may get the occasional ‘good morning’ but Sundays I have given up trying to say hi, good morning etc..

18 months ago I went into my local (Wokingham) lbs and asked for help as I wanted a new bike for around 2k..

The guy told me they had nothing for me.

So I drove across to PedalOn at Tadley and they were great and I spent £2300.

I went through the same issues a few years ago. Tried all the injections etc.. and then had a micro discectomy and that worked initially but then the disc prolapsed again. So in 2009 I had the disc removed and the vertebrae fused. It look about 18 months to get back on the bike but I did. Good luck whatever you decide.

As we clearly can’t ‘bomb the lot of them’ we should at least pull out all charities until they can be safe to work and help people. IMO

We were there Friday. Blade was great, near the end there is the option of the old whites final descent or ‘the rock’ we were advised by the guys in Afan lodge to take the rock. We did, it was great!

Penhydd is a ‘nice’ ride around and we also did the quick blast that is Blue Scar which was great fun joining the berms.

I grew up with a number of differing breeds from labs, heinz57 and great danes. I now currently have two Westies and I know when we lose either of them we will get another. They have been the best dogs I have owned and are great both in and out of the house. Although a bit small for a trail dog.

To be honest now I’ve hit 50+ it doesn’t seem to take much to set me off. My dad is in his last summer with COPD and lung cancer, so it’s most days at the moment.

Talk to Mojo about it, my forks have a month left of the warranty I called them to ask about a knocking noise they picked them up and sorted them under warranty. Great customer service and a fast turnaround.

I would go to the Afan centre and ride the Blue Scar and then Penhydd. Did it last Friday an had a great time. The only section to watch is one of the last on Penhydd which has a couple of rock steps.

I’ve had Infinity2 for a while now and its been great once I got rid of the Home Hub they supplied.

I recently ordered the TV package to follow Moto GP, but I cant get a decent signal on the Freeview (although direct signal to the tv from the aerial is fine) and no signal at all on the subscribed channels over Ethernet.

    Cancelling today.

I’ve had a Thule for a couple of years and it the best buy I have made. I used to get put off with the faff of getting the bikes in the car. Now I just throw them on the back and go. Three bikes but that is tight.

Trek fuel 8 26″. Nobby Nic on the rear. I lost confidence in the xr3 once the wet arrived. I’ve tried an old conti on the front but can’t find any confidence. I have tried softening the front end for grip but can’t find it. Thanks.

I live 30 mins away and generally spend between 2-3 hours there on a Saturday morning. Yes the braking bumps/damage is appearing at the moment but its still fun and there is enough to test my skill level.

I think the animosity on here probably comes from the fact your living away (I assume for a better standard of living) but slagging off the NHS.

It’s a ‘cake and eat it’ situation really and for me not about the money.

Good luck with your treatment wherever you get it.

Back in the summer I decided to buy a new bike. I went to my LBS, 5 mins from my house, one of the guys came over to me and I explained I wanted a full suspension bike for x-country mainly Swinley riding and I would go to max 2.5k. Not sure why but it transpired he didn’t think they would have anything there for me! Now I know that the shop has a lot of ‘high end’ stock but I could see price labels in my range.

So I went to PedalOn at Tadley (40 mins away in car) and the difference was amazing, they wanted to sell me a bike and spent time with me trying several different models. I brought a Trek from them which I love, and now whenever I need something I drive back there.

    Just my pennys worth really.

You need to carry him to the middle of the grass then put him down on it and he will have to walk on it. Play with him out there and let him chill. Puppies get little round bloated tums, it’ll will come out when it’s ready.

To balance the normal negative on here, I would like to name and praise. I took my bike to Pedalon at Tadley when I sheard a bolt. They replaced it and torqued the other bolts and didn’t charge any labour at all, the bill was £3 for a suspension bolt.

    Thank you Pedalon.

Not a real phone geek but have to have an iphone for work. I found the 4 quite unreliable, moving to the 5 made a big difference with all round performance really.
    Hope that helps

The fitter took my fire and fireplace out and then discovered the new stove is too tall for the aperture. Will be an interesting conversation with the guy who surveyed it when he’s back from holiday!

I brought my Trek from the Pedalon shop. They cut the bars down for me but no help setting up the shock/forks..

    Friendly enough though.
