A fun tribute to my brother who died recently. Feels like a good enough reason to me.

I think the pricing is very much based on what you are looking for. Probably best to give them a shout to discuss your ideas, but as a ballpark this was £900.

Ive always been a serial bike swapper, in 20 years I’ve rarely had a bike for more than 6 months.

Bought a Pivot Firebird29 in September 2018. I hate the colour, hate the stupid bottle mounts and I wish the seat angle was steeper, but it just rides too good to consider changing it.

I’ve just sent it away for custom paint, got used to riding with a hip pack and have some geometry tweaks ready for the rebuild.

    That’s a proper big hit!

FB29 jumps like a dream. The back end is relatively short which may hep with skinnies? Though I have to admit, I’ve not really tried mine on them yet.

    Cheers dude, completely missed that

Ah I didn’t think of that! They don’t list that top/bottom combo in any angle though so I’m not sure if it’s just an unusual headset

Still working on a crash reel.

So far we’ve got one clip.

Expect it to drop summer 2050

Jedi’s channel is always worth a watch. Good mix of skills stuff, honest kit opinions and insane riding

I see Jedi has already mentioned this, makes perfect sense

I’ve literally just advertised my Kangoo on gumtree.

Pretty much the same length as a golf but able to take both our bikes with the wheels on, plus all our road trip gear with no problems.

I vinyled over the windows to hide the bikes and removed the back seats. There’s loads of little storage pockets for stuff plus cargo points in the back. It’s an odd little van/car crossover but pretty much perfect for daily driver/ bike van duties.

My ads here if anyone’s interested. Going cheap: Here

Any plans to do a skills video around mental skills? Or will they all be physical stuff like setup and positioning?

Same as Jedi, Snowdon trip, peaks cheeky and BPW are high up there. Ard Rock was rad and this summer at the field was ridiculously good week in, week out.

Not to kill your potential new bike buzz but I’d say that if you are wanting to get better at trail centre type jumps then your bike is going to do just fine. You can get a skills course with UK Bike Skills forces than  the price of a 2nd hand jump bike and I’ve never heard of anyone coming away from him not buzzing their tits off with their new found jumping ability.

    Just a thought like…

Cheers folks, is an 11 speed Shimano cassette okay with SRAM shifter and mech? Assuming so

    Cheers for the response all.

I’ve got a couple of ideas in mind; a nippy local woods hard tail which should be pretty easy, but also considering getting a custom front end made for my process. Love the way the suspension works but I’ve pretty much killed the front end. Not sure if he’s going to be able to help me out with that though…

Ive never had any issues with it, just mount it in the middle ring spot and bobs yer uncle

My advice is balanced as I’ve ridden neither. Do you want a new bike? I think we all know the answer to that question…

    Thread hijack!

    Soooo, if I’m changing the gf’s gears from a 32T chainring with a 42 out back to a 36T and a 50 cassette, I need to add 6 links?

And by links are we talking pairs of links or singles?

    Cheers chaps!

The rider is obviously Tony of UK Bike Skills coaching. Riding this stuff is basically using the core skills he coaches but applied to a different landscape I guess.

Can’t stand zink. The whole ‘winner celebrates with family’ routine every run. The wedge that was brought only for his run that year… Nah.

And it’s not about relating to my riding at all. It’s the pinnacle of freeride. Do you only watch mediocre athletes compete in other sports? No? Get a grip
