The Leopard install came with the computer. We have a spare copy of Snow Leopard so may give that a try.

I’ll check the error message out and let you know.

    Ta.

Really enjoy these Scandi programmes and Spiral was pretty good too…in fact most foreign stuff that avoids the usual American visual and textual cliches is interesting. Inspector Montelbano is the exception to prove the rule…it is crap.

At first I was torn between Borgen and The Bridge but (having someone with Asperger’s in the family)I really began to appreciate the subtle nuances in Saga Noren’s character. The actress did really well though sometimes I think she was just a bit too robotic. Anyway, The Bridge won it for me.

Sebastian Bergman…another dour, deeply flawed Swede with the charisma of a box of washing powder, but there’s only one more so I’ll give it a go.

I’m still waiting for him to send measurements etc to me. He is about 6 foot 2 and his other half about 5 foot 8 if that gives you a rough idea.

Dunno…I’d expect £300 or so. I’ll ask him.

    @DezB

    Hardly a story is it?

Well it isn’t raining, people are bored with the Euro crisis, the Leveson enquiry is getting very depressing (interesting yes but depressing) and the crops aren’t ready for harvest over here in East Anglia so yes, it is a story. Rumour has it, they are going to cover shocking news that someone left their gate open the other day.:)

My other half drives a Berlingo. She is 5 foot 1 (just) and seems to get on fine. It suits me too at 6 foot 4 and has loads of room for bikes. What’s not to like?

    You frabjous ass!

A mate of mine was heavily into Billy Bunter and consequently it was his favourite epithet.

If cultural improvement isn’t your thing, do a search for the Norwich Arts Centre

I’ve sure they’ll really appreciate that recommendation

Oops! Not quite what I meant 😳

Not sure if it is open at weekends but the Sainsbury Centre on the UEA Campus is a really nice little museum plus they have an Anime and Manga exhibition at the moment. It is FOC. They also have a lot of art nouveau stuff that is quite exceptional.

If cultural improvement isn’t your thing, do a search for the Norwich Arts Centre they usually have bands on, plus there is the Waterfront for gigs as well. Apart from that, I don’t know Norwich at all….I avoid it as the boss likes shopping and thinks Norwich is a great place to shop.

Just got mine from Rose Bikes too. About 48 hours from order to receipt…give or take.

    Looking forward to fitting them.

What’s with the funny (free) bag? Is it a Euro thinG?

I haven’t opened the last one yet. No idea why, but atm magazines do little for me. I will maintain my sub tho’,so I can have hours of fun when I get the bug once more.

It is fun reading about properly high end bikes but surely they are things 99% of us can only dream about.

Thanks for the feedback. I managed to make contact this morning and they told me not to panic, the goods were on the way. The lack of confirmation had nothing to do with the spelling mistake in the email address I gave them….honest! 😳 😳

It’s not the weight foxyrider, it’s the power 🙄 😆 I wish! You may be right though.

Drive trains are almost new. No bent teeth or worn anything.

    LOL at cynic-al

You were about to say “elite rider coming through” and I claim my £5.

It was a ‘gentle’ evening ride and I’d decided to spice it up a bit! In the end I just went nowhere!

    Shorty, no and no.

Foxyrider, erm, just under 15 stone (94 kilo I think). Not sure that is heavy enough to be deemed ‘heavy’ but at 6ft 4 there’s not a lot of fat floating about 🙂

@wwaswas chainline is fine. I had both bikes checked out at my LBS too and they confirmed all was in order. Good call though!

@PaulD, I’m not sure the changing issue is it, they have practically all gone when I have been ‘just riding along’ as opposed to changing gear. I have been riding MTBs for about 20 years now and it is fair to say that I have snapped more chains in the last 8 months than in all the time I have been riding – except for when I was new to singlespeeding!

I will however, explore the KMC chains.

XT brakes ordered from Rose Bikes. The money I save will let me get a new Rotor BB for my Swift which is getting a bit rumbly.

    Thanks for the input chaps!
