someone looking at a 450D is probably looking at getting into the hobby. so the right lenses, bag etc could help

Ive seen a few PIR sensors with built in SD cards they take videos as soon as the sensor goes off. So you could try and hide it or put it somewhere out of harms way.

The Ex have a thinner side wall but the rim is a wider.

Ive got a set of Arch Ex rims, hans dampf and a x king on the back. I put a tube in for 1 day to help get the yellow tape and tyres seated properly. Then removed the inner tube, put in valves and i actually pumped the tyre to 40psi with out sealant, with no air escaping from the gap between the rim and tyre. The x king was leaking through the thin sidewalls (not a tubeless tyre but its ok now ive put sealent in it)

Tyres are tight but once you have fitted them a few time its easy.

Wait. Is it maxel or x12? The x12 has a fine thread and the maxel is standard.

I have an x12 142×12 dt Swiss exactly the same as the one in muddyfunsters post!!!!!

I loved my 2010 crush & regret selling it. Having said that, 160mm forks would ruin it.

I’ve additionally had 2 Bfe’s, 2 Alpines, 2 souls & a Prince Albert, & think that 160mm forks would feel shite on each & every one of these for trail riding – I accept its horses for courses, but its my preference. I think 160mm would undermine the whole point of choosing a hardtail unless you’ve got some hardcore desire for mainly HT DH, which isn’t how your thread reads. 140mm is long enough for any hardtail in my opinion.

Would definitely agree with Mildred. You’re gunna have a blast on a 120-140mm bike

I’ve got a stiffee with 130mm forks and I totally love it.

pffft weeing in shoes is too obvious.

When i went travelling a was unlucky and had to share with 5 other guys who were total bellends. I was there long term as i was working up the road. they all decided to use all my toiletries. so i wee’d in the shampoo and shower gel, and bashed one out into one of the guys hair gel, twice. 8)

Working with a total cock. we all decided to teabag his dust masks. we forwarded the email a few weeks later. 😈

what cranks are you using atm? If its sram then the axel diameter is different. so you need to fit a bb91 to take a HTII axel

Get the hell out of auckland asap. Bay of island, lake taupo, rotorua and the tongarrio national parks are all awesome places to see. The south island was where I spent the most of the time. You’re gunna love Queenstown. Make sure you get some ice climbing done in franz josef.

I’ll be heading back in the summer for my 2 year working visa this year hopefully.

EF-S the S stands for shite!

I’ve got the 70-300 IS 4-5.6 which I travel with alot along with a wider lens. Great lens for the money and the AF is a lot quicker using the ultrasonic motor.. Where in NZ Are you going you want a wide angled lens for all the scenic views truly breathtaking views.
