lifer thank you soo much for that post, I’ve seen the last 2 minute of that video about 3 times and never known who they were or what the track is called. I was even going to test the STW mind hive a couple of years back with a description of shouty beardy blokes in a church! Any particular albums I should look out for by this lot?

My Ex had a vauxhall chevette that used to struggle to go over about 55 mp/h, i removed and decoked her plugs and the thing ran like new. she’d been driving it for 6 years with the performance and fule consumption of a lawnmower!

would probably be my record collection from 1981-1991, mostly post punk alternative stuff but a good mix of chart stuff on 7″ too. sadly thrown out in its entirity by my dad at somepoint by accident in the last 8 years or so. if you’re in the Cupar, Freuchie area and find a large brown suitcase weighing about 40 kgs, open it its got my most prized possession in it.

Can’t be bothered posting an image but the Isuzu Vehi-cross is what a 1980’s 15 year old boy would imagine what Action Man should drive.

Had various crappy Hardcore bands stay at my house in Germany in the early 90’s, favourites were Cro Mags, Alice Donut and Youth of Today. Best one was Chumbawamba slowly arriving in dribs and drabs for breakfast to be greeted by me,hungover in my boxers in the kitchen asking if they really wanted beans on toast or could they just help themselves to cereals and coffee.

Philip Schofield tried to knob my girlfriend in the summer of 88 on his annual trip to Lochgoilhead for fishing.(he failed)

Served “Renee” from Allo Allo over here in Nz in a bar.

Was hitching on the M40 in the early 90s and saw a couple of footballers at a service station, exchanged a glance with a complete stranger who mouthed the words ‘Chrissy Waddle?’ inna fast show style. I lol’d.

Got called a slag by the bald fella out of Freakpower in Glasgow as i’d not gone to his gig.

Happens to me too. jacobs just like to hide from the cold until its shower time. Wilbur however tends to take on the appearance of an eyeless Clanger with a blond crew cut.

always like the idea of ‘The Azonic Rizers’ as a spacey Hawkwind-esque band.

Obviously I am already in my imaginary zydeco/Bluegrass band ‘Slimtubing and the broken Hardtails.’ First lp will be called; “my baby done left me cos i cain’t stand her gumbo.”

locate any pimples or bruises she has and poke them while asking if they hurt. Drives her nuts and provides me with hours of entertainment as she initiated the practice years ago when we first met.

1990 Marin Eldridge Grade, Rigid; Badass grey ‘Zolatone’ paint job with flouro red forks stem and bars. mixture of lx and Dx, wolber rims which were nigh on impossible to get tyres off, and a gel saddle covered in lycra which worked better as a sponge than a sponge does! Dad sold it 2 years back for 50 quid.

I am a sweaty monster and have tried numerous wonder fabrics over the years. My path to wicking but warm lead me to a short sleeved polartec Powerdry Tee shirt, its absolutely the best performer of all my sporty type tops and is my go to base layer for boarding, riding and running.

I ventured out with Mrstubing for the 1st time in months on saturday night to a new boozer called the Gypsy Tea Room in a trendy suburb of my fair city. and to my delight found South australia’s finest, ‘Coopers Sparkling Ale’ on tap, best part was it was free as we were guests at a very well catered for 30th birthday. all round a splendid evening.

1987. 79p for a bottle of Kalback Pils (no idea where that dross was brewed but more than likely as Czech as I am) in Drimsynie House hotel, Lochgoilhead. was literally 200m behind my house up the hill so ised to get boozed for a fiver and pretty much let gravity get me home.
