Project he is not a painter and decorator, god only knows what he does for a living ,it seems he just footers around his backyard most days tinkering with his rods or planing/ cutting timber. i don't think moving into a residential area and expecting a reasonalbe lack of light industry to be in another area is unreasonable.
and as for my little snowflake, yeah she cries but he'd never bloody hear it from all the racket he generates.

TJ at no point did I ask for silence, and as a post script this hase been an ongoing issue for 4 years with me asking them in the past to keep the noise down. The frostiness of her response makes me think that other neighbours may also be doing the same and she's getting a bit tired of dealing with it. I also don't care if you don't care about my child or choice to have children, my kids are ace and I will scare them to sleep with tales of the nasty man known as Tandem jeremy

Oh and IdleJon one does it for those less verbose, expanding the minds of the great unwashed is one's duty I'm sure you'll agree.

I have to agree with most of whats above, Having kids changes your perspective folks, ok every one thinks their little snowflake is the most precious thing around , but what some of the non parent STW ers may not realise is the lack of sleep /normal human routine that goes with them can seriously mess with your head/marriage daily life, its frigging exhausting to look after kids. My neighbour is perfrectly entitled to make a bit o noise of course its jst that we live in a residential area but with his various hobbies(honking great v8s, spot of diy) it just seems to my addled brain that from about 8 am- 9pm most days of the week he has either drop saws com[pressors or other noisy basrard things going.
i assure you I dont see myself as some bleating tit who wants total quiet I'd just like a few hours peace to get some sleeeeppp!! 8O

I also realise that half six doesnt seem that late but when your tiny little kiddy just wont stop crying for 4 hours and finally drops off only to be woken by a rather exteme alternative to dipping some brushes in a bucket of water, you do take on an irational perspective, oh and IdleJon just using a bit of flowery language is all.

for all you expectant fathers, beware the 3 day blues, i'd forgotten about them but was pertinently reminded recently after the arrival of slimtubling MkII, I suggested on, about 60 hours after her birth, that I might go into work the following day for a couple of hours, Cue torrents of angry tears and the informing that she was furious at my lack of supportivenes. I sat there kinda gobsmacked thinking "that was a tad OTT" she buggered off to the toilet , came back apologizes(!) and says "bloody 3 day blues, I'd forgotten about them" all is reletively calm again now.

Mr Woppit you sound like you need a root, a stiff drink and a cheeseburger; life's too short for that line of thinking . just an observation.

My first bike was a '90 Marin Eldridge Grade in Zolatone grey and fire truck red, cost 540 quid from dales cycles and did me 8 years. was still holding up until about 2 years ago when my dad decided to stop riding it and sold it along with his wifes immacullate muirwoods from the same year, she bought it having seen mine and rode no more than 10 miles on it in 17 years.just sat in our garage gatherin dust.
PS yeah the saddle was a lycra covered gel affair which held water like a sponge.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, a great film that keeps you guessing , also Bob Downey Jr's redemptive performance which has thankfully steered his career back into the fore.

1985 Mazda Familia (323) wagon, 1500 cc of feeble but reliable oomph, was a jap import and as such came with a 'slow down atron' alarm which kicked in at 100km/h. "bing bing bing bing bing" .jesus there were some long slow trips on that thing.

I was your typical mid eighties indie kid, flirted with grebo, went nuts for NMA then discovered Bob Mould and subsequently Husker Du, had a brief crush on girl fronted power pop bands like fuzzy ,letters to cleo ,the clouds and Jale then got bitten by grunge for the early to mid 90s took a mellow turn and hooked into Teenage fanclub, recenlty got into shapeshifter and state of mind but still listen to all of them and probably always will.
    I love music!

A girl i ride with has one, nice wee hardtail about 9 years old, bombers, certainly will cope with spirited riding as built pretty solidly rather than xc whippet styles. if its the one on trade me in franklin district the seller doesn't know his ares from his elbow, but anything under 450 bucks is probably worth it.
