@esher its a garage linked to the house so not outside temps but nearly, the tap in there rarely freezes….

Interesting to hear others have problems in cold weather, my mates 36 floats that worked perfectly all ride are stored in a shed so even colder than my garage!

Between Canterbury and Whitstable you have woods which Drift Cycles have worked on some nice trails with log jumps, drop offs etc all unofficial but been there years…I mean its nothing like a trail centre but for this part of Kent its good.

Also Covert woods has some lovely trails as a lot bigger hills, bomb homes, jumps and proper drop offs. Quite a few to choose from…

For mountain biking fowlmead is ok for a potter round but I live 20 mins away and never bother…

It does have a European grade road circuit though so if your into the lycra and stuff should be fun.

Ours over ran a bit so had a sweep and 24hrs later she came…most amazing experience of my life!

It happened in under 2 hours from arriving at hospital with only has & air so didn’t even get time to fetch bag.

Relax and enjoy it what you have in your bag you have, nothing else will matter in those moments!

I tried dual compound CM on front and back was very slow on the winter bike, so put SB on back and its great and no grip issues.

Found it pretty dull to be honest in comparison to Afan, CYB and Cannock just so smooth and non-technical…

Don’t mind pedalling up but it was just a hillier Swinley Forest…wished I’d not wasted anytime there and straight to Inners.

Just to add that the service I got on my Lapierre was superb and had the forks and shock done as well…the shock was a custom cut which he did for free! Cant say fairer than that….plus he chucked in the crank pieces as well and some spare bits!

You cannot even see it on my matt finish Zesty 914 2013 – everyone who see’s the sticker on it cannot believe how well its done!

Just had my frame invisiframe’d and its superb don’t think it would need to be any thicker as it appears very resistant to scuffs so far…

Ok thanks – yer there is always air coming from the reverb and think this can’t all be from inside the post or hose…

£3500 lapierre zesty – 18 months old frame cracks around BB…

Told by shop who are very helpful shouldn’t be long Hotlines are great…two weeks of constant chasing by shop to Hotlines and Hotlines not even acknowledge replacement or any dates for it.

I too am missing rides and planned trips now as no bike…will be looking at legal action if I don’t get at least a date soon that I can work around and even buy a cheap temporary bike to see me through.

Will not be buying another bike supplied through Hotlines distribution again!

I think I remember bikeradar saying they added a bit more oil than standard and it helped to improve the fork blowing through its travel so quickly.

I found the 2013 32 evo floats 150 to be ridiculous on friends bike but my 2013 ctd talas 150 with remote is lovely and progressive maybe it has more of the oil in which holds the fork up better?

Love it how roadies hate it when a car does something wrong and they must be burnt at the stake but if a roadie does then oh well give them slap wrist and forget about it!

I have 2012 Revelations dual air 140mm with 15mm bolt through with the adjustable travel, not sure on model.

Having tried a friends identical travel Fox 32’s with CTD evo’s and bolt through, the Rev’s are stiffer, more progressive and stand up under braking etc so much better. We are similar weight as well & ride same trails so setup is not dissimilar…

The fox do feel more plush if that makes sense but the Rev’s are greater all rounders, but the Fox alot more sexy to look at.

I am in my 20’s, not gay and have Dark grey L200 with blacked out windows and off road tyres..one of the best cars I have ever owned – no one gets in your way including the worst of all drivers who currently seem to drive Audi’s!

New shape L200 is extremely reliable from my experience

Spank Spike Pedals – look great and feel great untill the bearings wear out every 6 weeks!

They start clunking and squealing, apparently they are designed to wear out to stop the pedal spinning when doing tricks!

I dont do tricks…should have bought Hope F20’s in fact I collect them tonight!

What tyres are you using is usually key on singletrack…

On standard bars we have had four bikes on an MG and a Saab neither as big as an A6…

Funniest thread I have seen in ages…

What the hell has happened to our biking world when people are more concerned with how they look than how they can ride…

I am running the 2012 Haven’s tubeless no issue, very strong and so far no hub issues but there is an update free from Easton for the 2012’s to fix some issues people experienced.

Hans Dampf were easy to fit and ridden Coedy Brenin and Cannock on them at low pressures no issues plus many local rides and Swinley no issues at all…

Good to hear so many enjoying it….it blows away any trail centre between here (Kent) and over to Bristol way…

Surrey Hill is good if you know where to go but that gets rammed as well from what I hear…

I went from cross trail approx 1900 to easton havens approx 1590 I think…they do spin up much quicker and tubeless does make difference as traction is better.

Main difference is flex for me as they are so much more direct & responsive, almost seems to make forks work better & bike tracks better…

I paid £300 for the havens so pretty good value…need the upgraded rear freewheel bearing kit thing to make them last well but it’s free so all cool!

Before I can answer what tyres are you using? 😀

I just put the 2012 Havens from CRC reduced to £290 on my zesty 514 and it has transformed it, the weight reduction, strength and tubless feels so quick and darty now its great.

Dont know why but it even sounds different as if the wheels are pushing into the suspension harder….
