Tried to go tubeless on a new floater myself last night and even 100psi from my compressor wouldn’t seat the bugger.
Going to install a tube for 24hrs and see if that helps it seat on next attempt.

I also love the Ritchey Commando fat frame + colour (great discounts at CTBM currently)

Either way, green works well with orange, and vice versa. Just decide which fills your heart with joy more than the other. (orange, obviously).

So the Brick leaks a bit. Parked it up ready to recommission next season.
In the meantime I saw this locally and couldnt resist. Had to source an OEM exhaust system and have a section welded (balance pipe), finally got it sorted last week and its a blast to ride!

82 XJ650 (Maxim). US Import, has had the daft lay back handlebars replaced for Euro style.
I love it. Cost nearly half the price of the K75, and for that reason I reckon the beemer will be moving on next spring.

‘The Wall’ as a potential name.

Great shout! or how about, ‘Quiet Legs’ ?
    Definitely not ‘Bonking’.

If you don’t have experience working in cafes, consider doing so for a while to work out how you want to run your own

Alas, this is not going to be possible. I do however have a close friend that runs a great cafe in East London to call upon for advice.

Lemon drizzle cake. Proper stuff where the lemon goes right inside.

It would be the sharpest drizzliest most drenched Lemon Drizzle in the county.

For me, just having the bloody stuff available is the key.
How many times have you been to your fave place only to be told that there’s no cheese straws left (its 11am, are you serious?!)

Bacon butties with thick flavoursome local bacon

There’s award winning butchers around my way (and brewery) – i’d love to think that the vast majority on offer would be locally sourced and all the better for it.

Pricing would be trickier, no one wants to put people off with prices – the butcher above sells scotch eggs at £2.50ea – which made me wince, until i tried one, which made me aroused. So so good.

RE bike lock loan – I have actually contemplated this in that past. The trouble I see is liability. Who’s responsible if a lock gets cut/bike stolen?
Not that i’d want to discount the idea, but it’d have to be carefully considered. Everyone wants their bike to be safe.

So ‘CHAPEAU’ isn’t a good name for this Caf then?.. ;)

ah of course, yes, free air would be mandatory.

    Repair stand = great shout.

Organised rides, i’d certainly hope that local clubs would like to get involved. Cafe ride outs would be awesome.

I do however have hipster tendencies.. where do we draw the line with coffee?

ooh, can I hijack this a wee bit?

I have a low pitched roof on by semi 3bed bungalow so a loft conversion isn’t really feasible. However, in order to bring more light into the rear of the house and generally make the place look a bit more interesting we’d like to open up the bedroom ceilings and install a large velux above each room. Essentially, a pitched sun roof for the bedrooms.

How much is it likely to cost to remove joists/strengthen roof accordingly, install windows and plasterboard the new ceiling voids?

I’ll post a pic of my front door :)

Make sure they consider bottle cage bosses, rear mech thread etc. I think they normally stick a bung into these to prevent paint ingress.

Also a good time to smooth out that useless mounting point on the seat stay arch? And possibly fill in that weird chunk thats missing on the BB shell?..

Im a freak for orange – my front door is RAL2000 and its a great shade. Green rim strips would compliment nicely too. Orange is where my vote would go.

Be very careful to ensure that they mask your contact areas and threads diligently on your frame, ive seen horror stories of folk attempting to remove wayward powder coating after their frames recieved a liberal dose of the stuff.

Stones, Dylan, Beatles, Possibly Zepp, Bowie are all good if obvious choices for depth of catalogue. Desert Island discs is a fabulous concept but in reality is so hard to choose as you know any one artist would probably drive you nuts at some point – like water torture.

Kate Bush was great shout above though, as is Waits

Any Brighton Bimblers in the house?

Now that im officially outed as a bimbler, I may as well enjoy a leisurely ride atop the downs with a proud like minded associate or 2.

More than 2 of us makes a club. T-shirts will follow.

I like the look of those levers linked above. But, how do they work?

Looks like they are pressing against the same chain face-plate, and therefore, would be getting nowhere?
Or does one of each opposing lever face not contact the link on that side?

EDIT* just watched vid in link – I see how it works now. Nice.

I see what I consider to be gaping character flaws from Hamilton on a far too regular basis – and am frankly amazed that people are so willing to overlook them on what I assume is the strength of him being a Brit whom happens to be good at something.
For me its personality/character over Nationality every time.

I used a standard Hope 68/73 BB that I had spare as the cups are exactly the same as on their fat BB – then I asked LBS to order in a a Hope 100mm spacer tube to fill the gap between the cups. Wasn’t completely necessary but nice to have in there.

Thanks Convert – am now convinced that I’ll never need to own a brooks.

tat Charge Spoons on all my bikes for last 5+ years. Never had a single issue with them other than being comfortable the whole time.

Only exception is selle italia slr on my road bike, surprisingly comfy for a 120g saddle. Your arse dictates what’s comfy more than a saddle does though.
