Osbourne is following policies that will make the economomy worse knowingly. He is doing this out of ideological hatred for the public sector. even some in his own party are now telling him the austerity measures are wrong.

sorry, but you are possibly insane.

But no he isn’t TJ. A blanket statement that the Tories are solely in power to line their pockets, look after themselves and not actually give a toss about the country they are in is not really a statement rooted in truth or fact. However much you may hate them I think anyone with even a modicum of intelligence would understand that is not the case. Which is why I suspect he is, at the very least, exaggerating a bit. Or at least I hope he is.

And given the poor state the nations finances were in when this new lot came into power I am not surprised they keep referring to the mess they found and pinning the blame on the last government because that’s who was to blame. Gordon Brown will forever be one of, if not the, worst chancellor we ever had. I don’t see George Osborne as ever ranking as one of the best but so far he is still better than Gordon.

    Hellelujah!
I thought I was alone in this mad house.
    I love this guy.

The conservatives have never had a majority of the electorate voting for them. And they certainly don’t represent the UK

Thats probably a good thing, id hate to be labelled as part of this majority you lot keep mentioning.

its clear, the only thing I have in common with you lot is a love of bikes. (not sure thats even true for some).

I just wish I went to private school and had no idea about the ‘real world’, then I could be hated just a little more.

Watching Cameron on Newsnight right now.

    What a horrible, horrible mayn.

thats funny, he said the opposite about you.

Dont worry everyone, the tories are here to save us from the astronomical debt that the other lot have left us in.

They keep talking about the debt they have inherted mainly because they are having to make unpopular decisions to attempt to rectify the horrible mess.
Believe it or not, making unpopular decisions turns out to make you even more unpopular.

Cameron will save the day, he’s a hero. Saving us all from the left. You’ll understand one day.

Long live the Tories! hurrah! God Bless Maggie.

    May god forgive the reds.

The early curved top tubed ones were A’Ha’s.

I built up the 05 red frame (disc only) with an Alfine hub, I loved it. Wish I didnt sell it now.

im not an Apple hater, i think their devices are excellent. i just hate the fact that so many sheep people cant seem to talk about anything other than their iphones, whilst coming up for air during use of their iphones..

iPhones and smart phones/mobile phones are incredible. the world was better without them. how d’ya like them apples?

thursday may be a go’er, just need to apply for a pass..

I even took a laminated map over tonight and headed straight for Ceasar’s after getting through Seagull, still got lost! ended up back at lookout but was to dark to venture on (helmet light arriving this week sometime).

must have had 20 ninja frogs jump out in front of me when heading back toward Bagshot common! they look just like fir cones…till they hop

just got back from another round, only managed to find the seagull and tank trap, got lost looking for corkscrew before it got dark.
Its great seeing random beams of light wiggling away in the distance when riding around at night.
Air temp was perfect tonight, I destroyed my riding buddy

The advice from a friend in “law enforcement” was to tell the neighbours to **** off – oone that I haven’t yet bothered with, as I still like to try and have the high ground

ahh, the good old bill. Just the kind of response i’d expect from them also.

    slimjim78

You are in a stronger position if you are reasonable – my neighbour has lost the plot, and in my eyes any credibility, and likelihood of a reasonable response…

Thats not the spirit, im also tortured by a yapping dog in the adjoining house and it makes life a misery.
If your neighbour seems unreasonable its probably because your dog had driven him to distraction.

I struggle to think of anything that winds me up more than inconsiderate people, and noisy neighbours top that list.

There is no need for a dog to bark constantly if trained properly.

chaps – I was browsing youtube vids for swinley trails last night and came across a recommendation for a mapping website that offered most of the trails marked out and named on a map of the forest.. trouble is I cant access youtube at work and I really wanted to show this map to a colleague who is riding the forest tonight. Does anyone have a clue as to which website it was that I used?

It wasnt google maps, or mapyride, something like ‘mymap.com’ ? :?
You just needed to enter ‘swinley’ in the search bar…

try 100 & 120 before you lambast either.

most hardtails designed to take a 120mm fork feel more capable with one fitted, frames designed for 100mm dont feel as good with 120mm fitted. funny that.

personally, I feel more confident on 120mm when going downhill. and I feel faster uphill on 100mm.
    horses for courses.

one thing im certain of, the marketing conspiracy will not happen. going back to 80mm or less will never happen (or ill eat my Reba Maxle).

    Just ride!

Sorry about the squeaking cranks, and puncture, and another puncture, and the hot flush (full length trousers, seriously?), oh, and coming of in the Devil’s Bowl bit or whatever it was called.

Thanks to Andy for plotting such a great route and to Phil for organising, hope we can do it all again sooner rather than later!

Darcy – we’ve never really talked about her weight, but I imagine she’s aiming for at least 3 stone, maybe more.

I agree with the support argument.

But im a man of science (and so is she!) and I have cold hard evidence of how its done properly (as if there wasnt enough evidence out there). Lifestyle change, learn to love the sacrifice and feel great about yourself.

It was the easiest hard thing I ever did.
She saw me lose 6″ from my waist and chest in 9 months.

Alas, i’ll revert to ‘yes dear’ mode and see if I can at least help her to get it work her way.

youll struggle to get a good chainline on the outer ring, youll need to use the middle, and you wont get much bigger than 32t without getting too close for comfort to the chain stay.

Youll probably need to flip the alfine cog round to achieve better chainline too, something daft like 50mm on Alfine hubs.

Have run two or three set ups this way with zero problems.
