    ive a 2012 Diablo.
Dont get me wrong, I like it. But its notably less ‘kapow’ than my 2011 Toro.
As said above, it’s spot on for a lid light.
I was just surprised it’s quite so different considering its essentially the same light with less burn time.

fair enough. although id have thought a toro on your head without the weight penalty would have a diablo beat.

anyways, its still a lovely bit of kit

    You should be fine.

hydration will be key, as will keeping your heart rate below 75% max.

    Good luck!

    big estate car?
    best compromise.

gunnagofasta is right, I no longer pine for fancy newer models, for me a cheap estate car is perfect.
I bought a Golf Tdi estate a couple years ago, I get 50mpg, I throw anything I want in it and dont care about scratches or dents.
Despite this it scrubs up fine and just keeps on going, and ive only spent a couple hundred keeping it on the road.

Cars are money pits, ive never looked back since converting to bangernomics.
The 3 or 4 grand a year I save in not throwing money at depreciation or expensive servicing comes in very handy!

Having said all that, id love a T25 (unreliable) or T4 in order to extend comfort on active weekends.

first one states in description: ”Due to high demand. This item will be dispatched W/C 24/10/11.” which is the bit id be a bit dubious about.

whats the deal with the silver ninja stylee one? is it essentially the exact same version?

Or is velcro and a little extra cable really that difficult for some ppl to handle

    Difficult?, no. PITA?, Yes.

For me the only advantage of a battery pack light is the cheaper cost.

alas they only have a glittery green.

and the shimano stuff is £35 for gear cable alone, ouch!

there must be something out there…

convert – youve hit the hammer on the head!
Exact same garage as youve described, its like nothing ive ever drilled into.
im pretty sure i havent hit a metal reinforcing rod – but may give it a final try with an SDS and see how I get on.

The thing that bugs me is like I said, I watched a friend previously drill upwards and through a window lintel with no bother so I was certain there was a tool out there to do the job.

‘No more nails’ and batons may be the way forward! (just not sure about hanging bikes from wood & glue!)

why is everyone so (negatively) obsessed with class?

live and let live, do unto others et al.

Not sure obsessed is the correct word but Britain is not classless or free
Being born in to the upper class confers many advantages over being born into the lower classes. This is unfair and I canno tlive an dlet live on this issue as it is an anachronistic injustice that has nothing to do with talent nor is it merited

Every other thread on here is having a bash at the ‘upper class’.

I hate the ‘being born into money brings advantages’ argument.
    So frickin what?
This is still a free country and we are still immensly lucky to have been born here than many many other places in the world.
We all have the chance to achieve great things, every single one of us is offered education and oportunities, and indeed many of my friends from low income families and schools for the naughty kids were offered many more opportunities to improve their skills.
If you have a modicum of get up and go and a drive to succeed then you can do great things with your life in Britain (granted – it wont be easy!) , or you could choose to sit around slating people born with a silver spoon in thier mouths.

I’m still confused why the OP thinks cars can be made from 853 which is a range of tubing, not a material. Most cars now have monocoque floorpans and cast supension components.

    ”money no object” remember?

is it impossible to manufacture 853 in sheets?

I dunno, just wanted to put it out there.

Comedy covers aside – I still love this version of Superstar by Sonic Youth.
Thanks to Bob Mills for introducing me to it!

Most of the 60’s great rock tracks by Zeppelin/Stones/etc were blues covers!

I own an 853 Inbred s/s. Best bike I ever rode. And I love it, or at least I think I do ?.. not so sure now.

Brant, as designer of my favourite frame, & after your comments, should I love my 853 Inbred? Or am I just shallow?.

Dont let my missus answer that.

Brant posted on my thread – gush

A carbon fibre VW camper van?. Cool no doubt. Souless? Possibly.

back to my original point, technicalities aside – could it be done?

Say, I want a car made entirely of 853, just because.

If so, would it handle/behave differently?
Would 853 make the chassis squirm/flex too much if built in the same gauge? Or would handling improve? (like on a bike frame!)

The DeLorean dived because of costs, but it was still done. Bare metal cars that dont rust = super cool.
    I love the DeLeorean.

Remember: money is no object here.
