Halfords spanner’s are nice, but are quite thick, for example I could not use to tighten my pedals as the spanner’s open end is to thick to fit, I have old set of Britool which are very slim.
As for the recommendations of Wera jokers, whoever thought it was a good idea to put the open end in straight inline with the spanner is an idiot, normal spanners have the head cranked off to one side, so you can flip the spanner to get into confined spaces and still be be turn the nut/bolt, not with a Wera joker.

You can get a set of 17” vw davenports off a t6 highline from anywhere around £200 with tyres.
I have 18” sportlines on mine with Michelin cross climates, done 20000miles on them with still plenty of life left in them, really good in the wet and good in the little snow we had.
when I spoke with insurance company they said they were fine with anything that is in the vw options catalogue.
Not all vans have same sound proofing fitted from factory, I had a startline model as a courtesy vehicle (I have a t6 edition model) and the startline on motorway at 70mph was so noisy inside (had 600 miles on it)

I had a test booked for one just before Xmas, but it got cancelled due to going into tier 4, will have to wait until it’s over now. Booked it by going into Toyota dealer and just asking about it.
Owned a evo 7 for last 11 years, want to see how it compares, as for the people saying evo’s need a lot of maintenance, in 11yrs mine has had 2 cam belts and a oil change every year so it’s been very good in that respect.

I had Accupuncture on mine on the recommendation of a friend and the medic at work, was very sceptical about if it would work, booked an appointment, had to have 2 sessions to get rid completely, worked really very well not been back for 5 years.

Speak with a local welding supplier, they should be able to advise on what you need and they should also have loan machines for you to try before you buy.

Had a gaming laptop built by them in 2014, it’s been great, it been all over the world in hand luggage, played many games (just finished red dead 2 on it), Very well made in a metal case (it’s not light), never had any problems with it. Will definitely get another from them one day.

I built my own gaming pc for the 1st time in 20yrs, bought a motherboard, processor and fan bundle as they were cheapest, it came pre tested and built up, the just bought the rest from wherever had best prices.
It was fairly straightforward to build, most plugs can’t be put in wrong places.

I had my fiesta diesel van mapped for performance a few years ago, made it a little faster in the mid range, biggest improvement was how much nicer it was drive, so much better on part throttle, much smoother to drive.
Also gave about 2-3 better mpg.

Owned a s2 Rs turbo back in the 90’s it is by far the worst car I have owned, poor handling, lots of torque steer and not very fast, but it did enjoy breaking 3rd gear, I really have no idea worth so much money these days, I cold not get rid of mine fast enough, replaced it with a civil vti which was brilliant car back in the day.

Not very secure at all if left unattended, if you cut the pins that hold the doors on, you get access in minutes, with no mess or damage to what’s inside.

Subscribed to the MotoGP site last year while working away, I also have a particular dislike to listening to Keith Huewen,s commentating.
MotoGP feed is so much better in my opinion, commentators really know what they are talking about and Simon Crafar in the pit lane or MotoGP is very insightful.
I have re-subscribed this year and watched this weekends through.
Also has a good feature of when I open the MotoGP app it’s takes me too a no spoilers page so you don’t see any results.

I have 2 cars and a van all on the same policy, one of the cars is a high performance car adding the other 2 didn’t cost too much more, maybe £100extra.

I do a bit of sim racing on a pc 300+ hrs in dirt and pc2 on pc, started off playing on a gaming laptop through the tv, using a playseat challenge and Logitech g29.
Playseat challenge is really good in my opinion, had mine 3 years now, tried a playseat evolution for a while, felt like is was sitting on a paving slab, the wheel adjustment is great either as you can’t change the angle of the wheel like you can with the challenge, also the pedal mount flexes quite a lot.
Logitech wheels and pedals are ok but they sometimes do not last very long, I went through 2 sets of pedals due the positioning pot failing, my throttle one failed first, basically the car was ticking over at 5000 revs all the time, cured it by creating big deadzone for first part of the pedal travel, the brake pot went next, cured that one by taking it apart and swapping the clutch and brake pedal. I have friends through steam who I race with that are on 3rd or 4th warranty replacement pedals, biggest issue I have with the Logitech pedals is the way they feel, not much resistance when pressing the brake making it really easy to just lock the brakes up.
I now use a home built pc with a 1080ti in it, usually getting about 160fps, I have a set of Heusinkveld pedals and fanatec v2.5 wheel base, currently building a seat and wheel mount out of aluminium extrusion recovered from a skip.
VR is good but if playing for long time much prefer playing on a monitor mostly, only use a single 27” at the moment, on the lookout for 2 more at the moment.
My gaming laptop has a 980gtxm in it and still manages 90fps in dirt rally and dirt 4 I only upgraded due the fact the laptop gets a bit hot when playing for 4-5hrs.

Went in 2017 for first time in 10yrs, left feeling quite disappointed, lots of trade stands but not as much in the way of display cars, oh and £12 to park in the car park.

I have 3 cars on one policy, all modified, all modifications declared, one is very high performance on limited mileage policy, one is daily drive fiesta van and one is work in progress.
My broker is a company called pace ward, cost is very reasonable.

Nothing wrong with a duratec, nice light efficient modern engine, should make minimum 200bhp standard on throttle bodies with exhaust and if it goes bang, £500 gets you another one, that’s what I am putting in my mk2 escort money pit.

I got a Logitech G27 wheel and pedals from eBay for £60, missing the gear lever, but still with flappy paddles and I have the playseat challenge seat which folds up nearly flat when not in use.
RallyX is pretty much the only thing I play in dirt, tracks are easy to learn, especially if you learn the Cuban circuits first, even the full tracks are only about 1000m.

Played a lot of dirt rally and dirt 4 online doing rallycross on a pc though not a PS4, if I had to pick one for kid it would be dirt 4 as it seems a little more forgiving.

The bloke who is building it is a proper steam fanatic and his engine is going to be an exact copy of the original, some of the things he has done just to get it that far are just mindblowing to me.

It is a copy of one that was scrapped in the 60’s, all built from scratch just using original Fowler B6 drawings.

I think it will have enough brass bling on it by the time it is finished.
I did want him to build it from stainless steel, but he said it is not traditional.
