Scandal, leisure lakes in Daventry have a large in store

I’m a bit confused. In your other thread you said a large codeine would be too small, but the large thumper seems to be the exact same size?

Evans need to pull their finger out and get some if these in stock so I can buy one!

If you can find the correct sized Bontrager rim strip to fit the rim, then I think they are fantastic compared to tape as the bead seals to the edge of the rim strip to seems to seal easier.

Looking like the process might be out on seat tube length. Would have to run the post at Max extension and even then it would be 8mm lower than my current set up.

Only reason that the codeine is probably out is no stock till end of July. Plus with various discounts, all the 3 I listed are about £400 LRS than the xo1 codeine

That’s kind of my thinking too. I’m so indecisive!

The Process already has abbot £800 off as its last years model.

I’ll keep my eyes pealed for the Stumpy.

Anyone think they’d notice much difference with the below geometry.

    Existing ett 620mm, reach 427mm 445mm chainstay and run a 45mm stem

Large Camber Evo ett 617mm, reach 432mm 451mm chainstay

Large Stumpy ett 611mm, reach 435mm, 437mm chainstay

Medium Process ett 605mm, reach 435mm, 430mm chainstay

Seems the camber is closest to existing with both the stumpy and process a touch shorter when seated but a touch longer when stood up but with shorter stays

Any idea if and when they are releasing the 2016 Camber (Evo)?

Currently has £250 off for trade in at Evans. I can then get a further 10% off through work

That’s not a bad weight as you’d assume that you could lose at least 0.6 with tubeless.

New Stumpjumper FSR is also now tempting too! And I know i’m going up and up in travel 🙂

Oh yeah, and are we talking 33lbs for the large codeine? Is that with dropper post, tubeless and pedals? I know some people recon it’s around 30.5lbs but not sure if that’s the higher spec version

I’ve got no issue with the 120mm of the Camber. I had a 150mm pitch for a few years and was massively over biked for everything I rode. I think 120mm is probably about the sweet spot. I’m a little worried about the Reba up front (will only be able to get the comp) and general lower component level on a bike that is £2k.

If it came with Pikes or even Revs then I think it’d be decision made.

Just on an outside, had anyone ridden a BMC Speedfox, as the geometry on them seems well sorted but with the Fox 32 CTD up front in not sure if it’s really a contender

I’ve got a Trek Stache frame and forks (or whole bike) for sale which might suit. Check it out as it’s similar to the parkwood

I’ll be adding a dropper to either when I get it (shame neither have stealth routing so probably be a Lev). If the Camber came with Pikes rather than Reba then I think that would be choice made, but there’s no option to upgrade.

Reach on the large codeine is the same as my existing Stache and that feels just about right with a 45mm stem.

Stand over does concern me slightly as on the codeine it’s a full 107mm more than the camber which seems like a massive amount taller

It’ll be a large as my last 2 bikes had a 620 ett, so don’t want to go any smaller. Is the 32lbs setup tubeless?

I’m loving the spec of the codeine. Not sure if I can wait till the end of July though. Camber looks very nice but I’ve been told that when I get it there’s no changing parts. Deore brakes are great, and I’m sure X7 is fine, but was hoping for more on a bike of the Camber’s price. I also like the sound if pikes over Reba’s, even though I’ve never really felt much flex in any 32mm forks I’ve had before

My trek stache that I have for sale has a 620 ett. I’d split it for frame and forks too

Ah ok, so the bb must be a long way forward to give the sorry reach

I’m 5’11 so would be looking at the large based on the ett of 620. Are they a short bike then as they seemed to have familiar dims to the large camber

Check out my for sale ad as it sounds like you’re describing a trek stache.

Now that I like! Am seriously considering one of these as it seems to get great reviews from everyone that has one

Looks properly expensive too! £1900 for the base level version with front suss with no dropper. If it was about £4-500 cheaper I might have been interested

2nd hand Trek Stache just like the one I have for sale?

Dow Corning or Sika is the way forward (Arbo is also pretty good). I hate paying Screwfix prices for silicone but it is worth paying for the decent manufacturers. Acetoxy silicone (the stuff that smells like vinegar) is not a good as the neutral cure stuff ( I find).

Make sure the bead is a minimum of 6-7mm (would suggest more) otherwise it will crack/pull away fairly quickly.

I’ve decided to go with a 6 based on the good deal (£23.50 pm and £55 for the phone). I’ll see how I get on

Hmmm, I’ll have a think tonight. Other half has just got an iPhone 6 today so will have a play tonight.

OK, so sounding like I should just stick with android. Thing is I’m not sure there is a phone as nice as an iPhone, plus there are some good deals on the 6 at present. I’ll have a look and see what the Samsung s6 is looking like

frood/mccett, any chance you could measure the ETT of your frames? Have heard that the geometry charts on the Genesis website are wrong, and the 19 actually has the ETT listed for the 17.5.

I’m after whichever frame has the 611mm ETT

Custom titanium frame for around £600?

Considering one of these on C2W.

Currently have a Trek Stache with 620mm ETT and 427mm Reach. Find this a nice size with a short 55mm stem.

Looking at the Genesis geometry charts, the 17.5 is the closest match and would be just right IF the measurements are correct (i’d be running standard bars)

However, from some of the previous posts it seems that the 19 actually has an ETT of 610mm and the 17.5 is much smaller.

Does anyone have an actual 17.5 ETT measurement?
