    Are you taking talking about the little white lines around the pivot bolt? Assume that the big thing that looks like a crack running down the tube is actually the edge of some helitape?

    The Tarn is a great bike/frame, but I don’t think you’d get a 29+ in the rear. Run mine with a 27.5×3 in the rear and not really any room for more. I think that it’ll fit a 29×2.6 though. Check the frame length, mine is a large but it longer than most XL s. I was thinking about selling mine but am not 100% sure I will

    Magura MT5 are great brakes. Very powerful (more than Zees) but still with good modulation

    Bought our eldest a balance bike for 1st birthday. Didn’t really get used till she was older as it didn’t click with her, plus at 1 she struggled with the concept of pushing, steering, coasting etc. She could walk at 10 months .

    But she loved it when it did click and now rides a bike at 4 having transferred from the balance bike with zero stabilisers

    My MT5s are more powerful than my previous Zees. They are a pain to bleed though.

    +1 Magura (either trail sport or MT5)

    I know it’s not a tablet, but if you’re going to pair with a keyboard, why not just a touchscreen foldable Chromebook?

    Other than being a slightly larger form factor it’ll be easier to work on than a tablet?

    Onshape runs in a browser (also has an app) so might be worth checking out instead of Fusion 360 as you just need an internet connection for it to work and Chrome browser. Guess it depends what kind of models you need to create!

    Onshape for 3d modelling. Free for individuals as long as you’re happy for your models to be public. Fusion 360 is another option that’s free for hobbyists

    Probably no help but a 27.5×3.25 on a 40mm internal rim fits the boost 29 version of the forks with about 5mm clearance either side

    Genesis Tarn? Bought as the Tarn 10 and have swapped some bits, but am always surprised how much speed it picks up downhill.

    Was always the F40 for me on my wall. Loved it then and still love it now

    However my taste has modified ‘slightly’ in that the F40 LM is the one i’d buy if I won the lottery 🙂

    Sound very much required for this one!

    Same or similar power to the saints up front so not really a downgrade, just a different lever feel

    Nvidia shield tv is good, but if you don’t use the games then no real benefit. I have one, don’t use the games and it’s good, but lacks all4 (has iPlayer, Netflix, Amazon Prime, itv etc)

    I’ve got a cheap 35mm clamp stem for sale if you wanted to try 35mm out. Recently changed to a shorter reach stem as my new frame has a monster ett

    Long = tick
    Low = tick
    Slack = ish
    29er = nope, but can take 29er wheels
    27.5+ = yep

    slackman99

    5ft11 and went with a large. Have changed the stem to a 35mm to deal with the long ETT but has loads of standover.

    Going to change the cranks for something with a DM ring and have a new set of tyres to swap out on to it.

    MT5’s are dual piston, MT4/2 are single piston.

    MT5’s have monster power. More than Zee’s, more than Formula The Ones.

    Price is good too.

    I’ve been riding a 29er for years
    and enjoy the way they ride. Seem to rollover better than the smaller sizes.
