Something like a Garmin Dakota 10 or Etrex 10 should do most of what you want (not sure on the turn by turn navigation, but shows the route on the map).

I have one for sale if you’re interested (Dakota 10 that is)

That is a good price for a bearing puller.

I think they are the same size. If you google for the manual, it should list the bearing numbers and sizes.

But, as direct quote from may manual (may be different for yours, and no idea how they would ever check)

“NOTE: Bearing and Bolt Kits are available only through your local Specialized dealer. To retain your warranty and for your safety, all maintenance should be performed by your local Specialized dealer.”

Remember that if you don’t get an authorised Specialized dealer to change the bearing, then you loose the warranty on the frame (in theory).

Astra 1.7cdti – crap fuel economy. Trip computer regularly ‘reads’ in the 60’s but working it out on actual fuel usage leads to a more accurate figure in the high 40’s to low 50’s.

    Mileage 95% motorway at 70mph.

Golf,308 and Focus diesels all lead to 60+ mpg at these speeds.

Just got a Virgin VIP sum for £15 a month. Unlimited everything although in difference to what’s been said above, it does not allow tethering and the speed is throttled after you hit 3.5gb usage

Power is down a bit on the engines, but overall output the same.

At the minute KERS provides about 80hp boost for a few seconds(6 I think). Next year they have ERS (energy recovery system) which is a 160hp boost for about 33 secs per lap,so overall output is still around 750-800hp (or so i;m led to believe)

Auto desk Inventor would be pretty good for this. With a student/uni email address you can also download a full free version from their website (or any if the other auto desk suites)

Oi, Northampton may not be the cultural centre of the universe, but its better than some places! 🙂

Ermmm, did you mean 20 mile radius?

A 200 mile radius around Northampton gets you to the likes of:
Plymouth, the Lake District, all of Wales, some of Belgium and France!

It won’t be as good quality as Weber, but I had a Landmann a little while ago, and to be fair, it was pretty damn good. Far better than the tat B&Q sell.

It all depends how much you will use it. Once or twice a week, then spend the extra on the Weber. Once a month, then get the Landmann (although would be better if you can get to see both in the flesh).

    (Just my 2p worth)

Search around and you should be able to find one within budget

    Planet X Zebedi trials bike.

Was absolutely perfect for me and the kind of riding I did. Middleburn cranks, magura rear, old skool Hope C2 front. Brilliant bike.

Sold it as I wasn’t really riding it much, then every year or so I get the urge to build up a trails bike

One of these in each room. No need to worry about having to replace handles when you sell then:

Doom Bar is a nice pint, and is now a lot more widely available as it’s now owned by a massive american campany (although still brewed in Rock).

Octavia is also a possibility, although there don’t seem to be a lot about 2nd hand (maybe a good sign?)

A bit of googling has just reminded me how much I liked the Saab I had 8 years ago.

Is a 35-38mpg petrol engine a really stupid choice (I think I already know the answer!)

Hadn’t really thought of the 2.2tdci. I’ll have a look about now.

Ghia X and Titanium X all seem to be around the £4.5k mark for a 60-70k car. I’ll probably not be buying for a few weeks, so can keep my eye out.

    Any problems with yours?

Our cat went missing for 3 weeks. Woman across the road opened her garage door after she came back from holiday and the cat came out like a bat out of hell. I came home to find the little tike running round my feet obviously quite hungry! Other than being thin, he was fine!

Just to correct cookeaa, my Triban 3 came with carbon forks.

It’s my first road bike, so have nothing to compare it with, but it doesn’t seem a whole lot heavier than a riding buddies £1000 Trek. Ok so maybe the parts aren’t as good or high spec, but its a £300 bike.

It sounds like you’ve decided that if you do ride it a lot, you will be looking at a more expensive/higher spec bike next year in anyways, so why not save the money now, get the Triban 3, then you’ve got a nice winter bike if you do decide to get a new one next year.

If you find you’re not riding it very much, and hence won’t be getting a new one next year, then at £300, you’ve not maxxed out your budget on something you’re not riding much!

Extend with your legs, then in to the chest/gut with your arms. Keep the back pretty straight. Unless……..you are a gig rower, and in which case, lean back until your head is nigh on resting in the crotch of the man in the seat behind, then off to the pub for 10 pints as a warm down.

Stroke rate is the killer. It only counts if your high resistance (8 or above where 10 is the hardest) and stroke is around 22. Much higher stroke rate than that and you are cheating!

Only reason for Flows over FLow Ex is the banging price Superstar are doing the wheelsets for. Can’t justify spending a load extra to get the Flow EX. Plus for the weight of the Flow Ex’s, i’d probably have a go with the Pacenti DL31’s and save a few bob.

    slackman99

Hmmm, I just can’t get my head round where the weight has gone on the TL28s.

I may just plump for the Flows (not Flow EX), but i’ll still probably spend the next few days changing my mind!

Think you are kind of echoing my thinking. I think it will probably be the Flows, but was wondering if Pacenti had come up with a moon on a stick type rim i.e. light weight a tough

Privalite is circa £1k/m2. Also with a fold sliding door, not entirely sure how the wiring would work.

If you want something cheaper (but still expensive) check out interstitial blinds. They sit inside the double glazed unit, look fancy and are nearly as good a way spend money as ‘smart’ glass.

I have a silnylon tarp for sale. Just the right size to cover your head and upper body.

If you’re interested email in profile and i’ll fire over some pics.
