I’ve still got some XTR V’s on a retro bike, they are shit compared to disc’s. In fact even mechanical discs make them feel useless.

I don’t like the disc brakes on my car, I much prefer the drum brakes of old.

I miss the lack of stopping power, the absolute faff of changing brake shoes, and the brake fade due to overheating.

Really? Mine seem to be fit and forget, like many others. My brothers Shitmano XT’s however, haven’t worked properly for more than one ride.

Pay off the mortgage, sell the house, move somewhere hot with decent riding and probably still have lots of cash left over.

I bought a ‘5’ 18 months ago an sold it about 12 months ago (lost about £900) – shocking waste of money – it just felt like the wife, dead and unresponsive underneath me. My ride now is fast, agile and like to be thrown about (like when I first met my wife)

I had sciatica for a while, my girlfriend said her sister had a bad back and had some pain killers (which turned out to be Tramadol) I could have while I waited for an appointment at the doctors. I took one and it seemed to do nothing, so a few hours later took another. I was out of it for a whole day, they made me immensely tired, and I slept for nearly 24 hours.

On the other hand I am fine with Cocodamol.

Not XT, they are shite, my brother has some and they have never worked properly for more than 10 minutes.
