Because fat, middle-aged blokes, with more money than sense, will continue to buy them to try and compensate for their lack of skill and fitness. That’s why

So anyone who rides a 140mm bike is fat, middle aged, unskilled, unfit, and has more money than sense.

Do you by any chance ride a fully rigid single speed, resemble a bean pole, are over the hill, think you are fast, and have no cash to spare so you own an On One?

Buy the right size frame, then you won’t need a layback seatpost.

    That is pretty cool!

Float R isn’t a Propedal shock, Float RP is

Thats what he means, it has a permanent pro pedal platform 🙄

I have the same shock and bike. There is a big difference between the PP settings on mine.

I think they are designed to take up to 120mm

I don’t get the recent “trail riding” label that seems to have appeared.

Its just cross country, or what used to be called mountain biking.

I was only joking, its nice. Hope you enjoy it.

Ask stupid questions and all that.

as with all bikes, a longer fork always seems to improve them

    You call that helpful 😆

In other words, a mass on the tire has twice the kinetic energy of a non-rotating mass on the bike. There is a kernel of truth in the old saying that “A pound off the wheels = 2 pounds off the frame.”

Keep reading that til you understand it.

not racey \z they were designed for, quite obvious really

They aren’t made for racing, you can race on them, they are xc/trail bikes.

boring bike for dull wanabe pseudo stormtroopers with all the riding ability of sickly kitten.

Usually seen being ridden by red faced biffers at trail centers very slowly

Excellent description of a Fat Bike rider, you fit the bill well.

I’ve seen more Lynskey-made frame failures than all other brands put together.

    Except Lappiere and Commencal

Rotating mass in bicycle wheels has an insignificant effect, however often the myth is repeated.
If anyone can show it makes a difference, rather than claiming it does, I’m open to having my opinion changed.

TBF crikey me sober chum, so does non-rotating weight.

To me that says you were.

You will only have just over 3/4 inch standover on a 20″, and they are mega long.

Your inside leg is 32 inches, the standover of a 20″ is 31.14″

I am 5’11” with an 80cm inside leg and ride a 17″ with a 55mm stem. I have 5 inches of seat post (400mm) before minimum insert.

I recon you could get away with a 17″ easily, and they look better.

Practically every time someone is attacked by a dog and its in the news they say its a Pitbull. There have been times they have said that and it wasn’t even a terrier, let alone a Pitbull.

Wheel weight doesn’t matter at all apparently 😆

Had a pair of these for 3 years and they have lasted really well, still have loads of life in them. They have loads of float (15 or 20 degrees) never get clogged up with mud due to the design, and look way better than Shimano IMO

Are they really worth 75p a washer?

    Yes

There must be others on eBay or somewhere that are the same.

    No

    Maybe I’m being tight.

    Very

    They’re pretty small… 70.5x90x17.5 compared to a Nano at 105x100x17.

Yeah but the equivalent Nano’s are 499g, I don’t think they could shave off 245g just from making them slightly smaller.

    The HF-FM056 2012 29ER has a shipping weight of 5000KG I love these kind of sites !

I think they mean you can buy a container full.

    Thats what I’m saying.

If the ti/mag Nanos weight 290g, it is very unlikely that the Xpedo pedals weight 255g when they are made of cromo/alu.

    skywalker

Yeah but the Alu/cromo Nanos don’t.

    Material:
    Pedal Axle: CroMo
    Pedal Body: Aluminium 6061 CNC
    Weight per Pair: 255 g

I very much doubt they weigh that much, Ti/Mag Nanos weigh roughly that.

    Maybe 255g each.

Itll look mint tho…. All the gear no idea! ,lol

Ahh I see. Couldn’t you just get a black and gold, flog the wheels and brakes, then buy the ones you want or will that work out a lot more?

    Are you mates with flow?

    You mean skywalker surely.

They’re the same person aren’t they.

    Slightly confused me there.
