You stole someones Giant Trance and tried to disguise it with Rocky Mountain stickers, good thinking.

You bought it knowing it had a 2 year warranty, and its now out of warranty. I would accept the new front end for £200 if I were you.

“persuading on with a screwdriver” and carbon bars do not go together!

Obviously opening up the clamp with a screwdriver is done off the bars…..

Just looked at the brakes online, definitely looks to me like you could persuade them on with a screwdriver.

I have a feeling you are doing something wrong, I have never heard of this problem, ever!

    (Not that I know everything)

Get a screwdriver in there and bend the clamp out a bit, 22.2mm to 22.35mm is minimal.

Yeah I enjoyed it too, nice to see where your money goes.

Sorry, I didn’t read the OP properly and measured the circumference.

The diameter is 20mm, but like he ^ said all bars will be the same.

    Just measured mine, 70mm.

The writer of that ad couldn’t possibly know any less about bikes if he tried.

Or start a thread titled Orange Alpine and you will get a load of bell ends telling you how crap they are, even though they have never ridden one.

This is what comes of people watching too much Top Gear.

Of course its Top Gears fault this happened 🙄

The new CB axle is supposed to be 150% stronger than the old ones. Like I said, I have had mine for 3 years, they have done thousands of miles and I have only changed the bearings and bushes once.

Mine had loads of play so I replaced the bearings and bushes. I’ve had them for 3 years now, they are as good as new apart from a few scratches.

I’ve had 3 pairs now and they’ve all fallen to bits – the bearings wear, the pedal comes off and the spindle goes in your shin….surely this shouldn’t happen?

No it shouldn’t happen, and it won’t happen if you service them correctly by replacing the bearings and bushes when they need doing.

I ask him if he’s going to assault me

😆 I can’t get the image of you saying “are you going to assault me” out of my head, you must have sounded like a proper wimp.

Orange Five, also the best bike I own.

It depends on too many things to give an accurate answer.

What surfaces you ride on? Do you wash your bike after every ride? Use a chain bath? Keep it well lubed? Even then its pretty impossible to give an answer.

I makes me cringe how people watch it just to complain about it. Get a life!

Fastest Formula 1 Racing Lap of Imola – 1:25.5

Clarksons Fastest lap of Imola (in a production car) – 1:59.1

    Now that’s pretty impressive I reckon !!?

That is bloody impressive, it was some awesome driving too.

Pretty pointless thread then, anyone with half a brain would file the frame number off.

Better off taking photos of the whole bike and listing the parts.

Its not going to stop your bike being nicked, or get you it back for that matter.

Gonna need me some proper tools.

All you need it something to hold the forks (like a bike stand) a long 10mm socket, a rubber mallet (or something of that nature), and a 1.5mm allen key.

always wondered what that little elastic band looking thing round the left side of the fork is, guessing its used to measure something? Got a Suntour Epicon fork that doesnt have one.

    Its for measuring sag 😆

Personally, I’d much rather watch someone drive a Ferrari and dream, than see a Prius and be bored.

    +1

just discovered clarkson’s books as well, the ‘world according to…’ ones, stunningly funny imho

They are brilliant, I have read the first one.

Why dont they feature cars by Ford, eg focus, puma, etc,

    Toyota, lexus,

    Peugot,some people actually buy them,

    Hyundai, Kia, and Proton,

    Vauxhall/Opel,

    Saab, now bust,

    Nissan/Renault,

    Fiat,

and probasbly a few more coampanies who sell cars that people actually buy and drive.

Not all of us want to drive gas guzzlers, even though i do.

The Top Gear of old did, then it turned more entertainment than car review/test.

If you want that sort of thing, watch Fifth Gear.

How is it different to your H

Lighter (although that makes no difference 🙄 ), different suspension, different geometry, and different material.

    Couldn’t really get more different.

    That stem is offensively long!

Kicking off this series with a super car drive across Italy, should be good.
