LOL! Our surgery is brand new and looks like somewhere Bill Gates would go to, when I got the appt letter it said the op was in a part of town that has a bit of a rep. I thought surely all would be ok, that was until I arrived at reception and they asked me if I was there to collect my Methodone!!

The most unusual part was the nurse asking if I was going anywhere nice this year on holiday!! Just as a puff of smoke rose between my legs!!!!!! 8O

Cheers Tails, google is as ever the source of all info. Too much info sometimes. Have a few options but its always good to hear all recommendations.

iDave, def going to go on Saturday too, hoping to get up close to the action. Scooter seems good, some of the online places also offer cycles!

Hope by Estoril the championship hottens up!!

A funny true story my Dad told me once… His friend was in his car in a multistory carpark waiting for the misses. A couple of places down a woman in a huge Merc was taking ages going back and forth trying to park. Meanwhile a bit of a que was forming and after about ten minutes she pulled out to try one last time. The guy in his van who was 1st in the que drove into her space got out the van and shouted "you can do that when you can drive" whilst laughing his head off. The woman lost it, reversed and slammed into his van and shouted "you can do that when you've got money"!
Just thought I'd add a lighter note to the goins on on this thread.

You got it spot on TroutWrestler. I can personally only speak for Morzine in that region, but my brother in law has been going skiing twice a year for 25 years and has been everyhwere. He rates St. Gervais more than anywhere and wont stop talking about it.

Maybe we should organise our own honey trap? These scum make me sick. And to think the times I've had my bike in the car whilst enjoying a post ride feed. I wonder if I sell all my bike bits I could get one of these…. http://www.98bravo.com/

All this is very scary!! There is only so much my ground anchor can do. After having my motorbike pulled apart to get out my garage I've been offered a 'shotgun cartridge blank' trip wire from a local farmer. It works for his predators and he tells me it WILL make their ears bleed if it goes off!! Tempting..

I had to resort to resting the underside of the crown on a piece of well padded wood so the legs/internals wouldnt take any of the impact. And it went on in one hit.

Hi, any external BB tool will work. EG: Racefaxe X-type or Shimano HT11. See link for pic – http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Park_Tools_Hollowtech_II_Bottom_Bracket_Tool/5360030890/

There are some cheaper non-park ones out there that should only cost about a £5er.

Cheers, looking to put the following on – Bonty Switchblade (100mm corrected) forks, Crossrides, everything Deore (27sp and hydraulics) and FSA finishing kit. I've got to stick to this build cos as you know its very tempting to start adding XT, hope etc etc from the parts bin!! Must stay strong and resist the temptation!

Lovin the bike pics Tinsy (especially the 1st one). Its difficult to find many pics on the net. Seems to me this frame is great VFM so far. Didnt realise that the brand x at CRC were the same, but in a kind of funky way prefer the Dirty Jo graphics. Thanks for the offer 'toomanybikes' but def want a new one. Looking to build her rigid with 3×9 so in the hope of it ending up around 24lbs ish without spending too much. I think I'm gonna order one. Now how do I get the credit card out of my Wife's purse!!!!

Hi Tyger, there are lots of pro's and cons for the company providing you a co.car or paying you an allowance and you having the freedom to choose your own car. In fact a whole book of them! To answer your question about tax, when the company provide you a co.car you get taxed on it as it is deemed to be a taxable benefit. When the company pay you a monthly allowance you are free from the dreaded 'co.car tax'. The difference being that you are taxed on the allowance as PAYE at your normal rate. How much you choose to spend of your net allowance from your company will be completely up to you, whether you max it out and spend every penny, or buy a lesser value car and pocket the difference. Again, your own personal financial circumstances whill dictate whether you buy or lease (hire). In my opinion leasing a car will enable you to fix your monthly outgoing and will allow you to have a brand new (and almost maintenance free) car but remember you will also be tied into a term (eg 24/36months etc). Hope that starts to help? Let me know if you have any more questions. Cheers.

Think I'll have a go at it, should only be just fork seals and oil as they were only serviced in Sep08. I've got a Rock in my toolbox too, I wonder if Park can start doing Blue ones to match!! Cheers. I'll post if I get into trouble with them. Thanks.

I guess you may have removed the spacer required when you removed the XTR. Should be a small thin ring/band. Sorry if you know this already!
