I’ve just started using “Just Cloud”, which worked out the cheapest. They have some good introductory deals on att. You can have multiple device backup for free and tailor various other add-ons if required.

Ive stripped out the original QR and axel, replace the non driveside bearing that was on the axel back in the hub but the new 10mm QR seems loose when fitting back and comparing the original axel it seems thicker in the middle . Im guessing standard 9mm QR axels are 11mm shafts centrally and thats what the issue is..?

looks pleasant. How far is that loop and do you go around Meldon reservoir at all?
I have a similar route starting by going through the golf club then over to Sourton and looping round the other side of the old A30 but has a bit of road in it as well. Do you have a map of yours?

All good advice flowing here and adding weight to my thoughts that it would just be more fun and encourage me out more. Ill be looking to get one through a cycle scheme with work i think. Was thinking around £700ish to get a decent starter bike?

    Thanks all!

BPW looks like a load of very short runs. Can you put them all together easily as was after a good 4-5 hr ride out?

Would that be the same for Skyline as well? How much is diverted and onto what…just fire road?

The Fox Main’s look to be around £30 these days but still that not too bad. I was looking at those or the Oakley Proven’s however those Scott’s are a bargain.

Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement 4×18650 battery charger with a uk plug rather than the usual Eu + adaptor? Mines just stopped working and not convinced of the saftey of the original even before it died?

Best things to happen to mountain bikes since they were invented
    1. Girvin Flexstem
    2. Tioga Disc Drive
    3. Mt Zefal Pumps

Ive had one for around 6 months now.
    1. Great coverage and nice fit. Doesn’t look too big on the head either when compared to Fox Flux etc
    2. Ventilation though looks terrible is actually pretty good. Internaly channeling seems to work quite well. I reckon on a hot day it would be a little too much 22c + but when does that happen in the UK?!
    3. Perfect for 90% of the years trail riding and would be great for Alps etc singletrack where a bit more coverage is nice without going full face.

Bought one from China last month. Is great whilst it lasts but dies like switching it off once the battery’s finished. Also the battery is not sealed well at all but nothing a load of electrical tape won’t sort out.
Out on the trail it was amazing and unless pointing downhill at speed the lowest light setting usually is fine meaning that it should last a bit longer than the 1hr 20 mark.
I would be interested if anyone has a link to a better sealed battery that would fit this as could do with a spare…

Whats the weight of the spesh storm? As mainly be trail/moor riding with uphills a plenty the weight is a consideration. I’ve got dual ply high rollers for the alps which were great but that was all downhill hence my questioning their ability and by the sounds of it experiences are not that great.
Conti 2.2″ Rubber Queen Black Chilli are a little on the expensive side at nearly 50 clams.
Anyone know whether the Medusa’s blow up big or small?

I like your optaions. I am looking for similar but want to have a jacket that can take multiple washes and still provide waterproofing. Anyone ideas for suitable material which will provide this?

its a 2 x 9 chainset so should be ok i guess? Do you think that the Hope 38 and 40t rings would be ok for the job? is there any ramping at all that should be taken into consideration?

Hijacking somewhat, can you use 180mm mounts for the 183mm Hope rotors or do you need the specific hope mounts?

Im looking to replace both eventually so want to buy new i think but thanks for the offer.
CRC has a decent looking brake sale on at the mo and the Formulas seem within reach however I hve heard they are a pain to bleed etc. Really want something that is easily serviceable i suppose.

I’ve used a 2.3 folding on the front of my Pitch Pro for a while and find it OK. Not as slow rolling as it looks and good cornering grip with predictable give. Not the greatest in muddy conditions though….i.e our summer!

All, many thanks for your encouraging experiences. Will no doubt be in touch once operation is done. I currently ride crank bros so will stick with them when the time comes to get back on the bike!

    Hi,

Not sure if i’ll be able to make this weekend but have recently moved down near Exeter and would be interested in getting out so give me a shout if either of you fancy going somewhere.
