Clarencefield was fine on the race blades just the fixing clips were plastic and quickly failed hence falling off. Only need 25mm tyre clearance for my bike

I have recently changed T8’s to T8 LEDs from Classica Arcadia. Claim to have 5 x the power/reach etc of Fluorescents.

My plants certainly seem to be responding well and meant didn’t have to change the hood as can just slot into existing unit. Not usre if they do the same for T5 or not?

Don’t buy Smeg! Had only one but it never washed properly and died in under 2 years. Now got a basic Bosch that is on at least twice a day and has been great.

I use a single drive nas for streaming and storing media etc then have a just cloud account for photos, home video and documents auto updated daily from laptop and 2 x phones. I can handle losing films as easily replaceable but having an off site backup for photos is peace if mind. Cost is around £30 a year.

That looks really good spec for the price. Doesn’t seem to have much in the way of grip on the sides. Is this right? Does it come with a strap too?

Great article. Cheers for that. I wasn’t in the market for Byton mega expensive anyway but the price difference is staggering if you look around!

    on 3rd child.
None of them have slept through for 1st 18 months regularly.
No.3 had me up for 2 hour last night as wakes and wont go back to sleep. Controlled crying is out the window as wakes the other 2 up now.
Babies are babies and each are different.
It will all pass eventually but when you are in it its hell.
I’ve resigned myself that broken sleep for 8 years is not such a bad thing.

    Booked in for Saturday morning.
They sold this as a positive so I didn’t have to miss any work! Gutted.

I would add yhat the customer service for SKS is amazing. I contacted them direct as I had lost a short section of a raceblade. They responded, packed and posted a replacement for free in a matter of hours.

Hi, I asked hope this same question re M8000 Ispec 11 shifter onto the 2 Evo levers. They said they dont do anything for the “old” levers.

Sockets and switches are all being changed so that’s not an issue as the whole room is being replastered.

The issue I am concerned about re digging up the old floor is the damp proff membraine there that would have to be removed along with the 1/2 tonne of rubble as well! I would imagine I would need another DPM and relay concrete after all the excavation.

I had though about just laying the new floor over the old but was converned re creaks. I might give this another thought though.

Try looking a the Gulf of Morbhain. Beautiful area either side of Vannes and easy drive from Roscoff if going from Plymouth.. North side is more expensive usually for campsites and south side a little queter but lovely beaches and doesn’t get too busy.

    Newnham Park itself!
Great memories there trying to do the 2nd river crossing and getting totally submerged + loosing my bike as the china clay pits had turned the water white!

Good point and thought of as well. Ive had no problems with it up until now however it is 6 years old now and not the lightest out there. Thinking if I went for a Rev I could save myself around a 1lb in weight almost which would lighten the front end considerably.

Slight highjack! Has anyone ridden Lustleigh/Hound tor/Grimspound this week? What are the conditions as I have a day off and am thinking of heading over that side for the day though if unrideable might think again..

Blimey, even after all that investigation the best they can get to is mega smoke rather than mega fire action!

Note to self, never let a charger out of sight.

Just replaced my 10yr old Samsung that had been faultless until the drive motor went.
As such didn’t bother repairing and went for a new one.
considered Bosch as 5 yr warranty but went for Samsung again as also 5 yr and slightly higher spec. Given the last performance I thought it fair I should go again.
    1st one 10yrs ago cost £200
    New one was £370
Machine is used at least once a day with 8kg load in it.

Now £369 by the looks of it!

Mine will be tucked up in my Camper with me so that shouldn’t be a problem. How far is Bryn Betws from the Glyncorwg centre? Biking distance?

Do the locals in Afan actually come into the campsite area in cars? This seems a bit much?
Might try somewhere else in that case.

Tarp looks good though with lots of kids running around then the long guy ropes might be a problem.
Does it stand up well to wind?

The danger is you’ll start and love it so much you wont be able to choose between biking and surfing. Luckily trails are always there for when the surf isn’t!
However, its the hardest sport I have ever tried to become competent at by far.
I’ve moved to be closer to decent surf and get to go once a week/2 weeks if possible but after 6 years im still still struggling to progress onto a shortboard! Doesn’t stop the best feeling any sport can give you though when you are sat out back bobbing up and down on the waves at first/last light whatever the weather. Very addictive indeed.

Give it a go and dont get frustrated with progress just enjoy the experience. Its great however good you get.

I bought an RT-58 about 4 months ago as a 1st road bike. Can confirm its a great machine. Light in comparison to most at this price range, Tiagra all works well still and very comfortable on 60mile+ rides. Cant fault it. I went for a large and am just over 6ft. Seems to fit me fine.

Obviously not had any other road bikes to compare directly but with a full carbon fork, tapered headset etc it does stack up very well on spec. Planet X were great with their customer service also contrary to some reviews! Updates sent all the way through the process as well which was nice.

From Huddersfield I would recommend the east coast around Scarborough. Produces great surf at times and has a variety of waves for differing abilities. There is a surf shop at Cayton Bay who were always very pleasant when I used to surf up that way and they should be able t advise on any schools etc available.

    Cheers

one of the main things alsov i want is to be able to walk off the bike rather than waddle on cleats. Im thinking recessed MTB SPD/eggbeater types would be the only choice

Thanks all for options. I reckon the Verenti is closest spec wise to the RT-58. The Ribble looks great but as a training bike its a little too harsh for my intended usage.
