Mine were impacted so trying to come up under the teeth in front of them. Dentist sent me to dental hospital, who then sent me to the Hallamshire (in Sheffield) and i had them out. Mine got taken out in bits so had to go under so they could block my airways to stop bit going down the wrong way.

2 nights in hospital, stitches, dry blood and pain. They wouldn’t let me go until i ate something but it was bloody painful.

One the stitches came out, no problems at all. I do know now that if they are straight but you don’t have room, they use heavy sedation and just pull them. Quite painful after but better out than in.

Not in anyway condoning what has happened but how come the other chap got off? From BBC news website:-

In sentencing him to five years in prison the judge said: “The complainant was 19 years of age and was extremely intoxicated.

Defender Clayton McDonald signed for Port Vale last season “CCTV footage shows, in my view, the extent of her intoxication when she stumbled into your friend.

“As the jury have found, she was in no condition to have sexual intercourse.

“When you arrived at the hotel, you must have realised that.”

So if she was drunk and in no fit state at the start by stumbling into his friend, how come both didn’t get sent down?

Looks like a similar story to this one (sorry its in the Daily Mail)

Cheers Poolman, thanks for that about the councils. We went out the other year and it was a bit hit and miss. One day was cracking and the next a load of dead ends. Guess we’re just hoping for a bit of help on where to start.

We asked at the local bike shop and got told go to the chain link fence, then ride where you like!! Its a bloody big hill behind the fence!!

My boss had a Disco 4 and its the only car he’s had that went up in price when he went to trade it in. He goes shooting and so uses it off road all over the uk.

Traded it in with a crack in the front bumper and headlights full of water for about £3k more than he bought it for due to a shortage of them and them holding value. He went back to a Range Rover as its the only care he’s never got stuck in, but has got his mrs a Disco 4.

mcboo, can you not have a quick word with them then? I only want some different coloured jaws but they won’t sell me any, even though i have a genuine pair.

They would be more than happy to sell me another pair for me to pull apart and get what i want but i just don’t want to do that. Best thing is, you can get the bloody things off ebay from the USA!!

Houns, if they offer you a reward for reporting the site, ask them to throw in a pair of jaws for me will you??!! 😉

After reading the other thread, i ordered a pair as i wanted to change the jaws on my ‘real’ Jawbones.

Spoke to Oakley the other week about getting hold of some and they said they do not sell them as spares. So fo a tenner, i’ll take a chance on the whole thing.

Best bit is reading the reviews below the glasses, “these are great copies”. Bet Oakley love them!!

My wife has 3 in her neck fused together, she does OK now
Bit of a shock when I went in to see her, I wasn’t expecting an incision in the front of her neck

Cheers jota, hope the mrs is all ok.
Our old lass is a tough old bird but you can tell she’s worried about when its going to happen rather than if…

My mum could walk past you and you’d not know she’s got 3 or 4 vertebrate that are starting to crumble. They’re looking into fusing them together. If it goes right she’ll not move her head much but she’ll be ok, if not she’s in a wheelchair for the rest of time.

Still, as long as she passes your “not on crutches” test, i’ll tell her just to jog on past clinic.

    Depends on the shoe.

If you can get in the shoe to remove the backing plate, Dremel the bolts off, blow lamp on the plate and remove the remains of the bolts with mole grips. New cleats in with a quick dab of copper slip.

If however, the backing plate is located in the bottom of the shoe, drill the bolt out as close as you can to the threads and then tap them out. Bit of a faf but when your trying to save the shoe its slow and steady.

On my steel 456, the rear outer cable runs in one piece from the shifter to the mech. Same with the front. You have to thread them through the cable guide/loops.

No pics tho. Hope that helps.

Straight run all the way through both front and rear.

Running 1 x 9 on my 456 and have been using a Middleburn ring for a few months now. I had it going spare but it looks nice and is showing no signs of wear.

As for chain guides, i use a Superstar BB mount and a Stinger. No way that chain is bouncing off!! Work fine with a single ring and if you feel the need to go back to a double, it’ll work there too.

Used to have a SWB Connect from work and we got 5 bike in the back and a couple of bags too. Had to take wheels off one but others were full bikes. Only 2 seats tho. Did have the more car type one on holiday once, 5 seats and bikes easy in the ‘boot’. Did have to take the wheels off but with a seat down you’d be fine.

Found the Connect a bit sluggish to drive and had many problems with the ABS. Some parts were main dealer only and cost stupid pounds!!

Also, the front screen is bloody huge!! Great for catching pigeons with tho…

Just a quick update, girl is fine with only a couple of cuts and grazes to show for it all. Mum and dad had spent all afternoon questioning her. She has told them that she looked one way and saw traffic stood still, and then looked the direction my wife was coming from. As she couldn’t see her thanks to the 2 parked people carriers and the other parked cars, she thought it was clear and went for it. This was from the front door of her house.

For the people that say my wife should of stopped and that its her fault for the accident, lets see if you can stop when something comes from you at right angles between 2 parked cars that you can’t see. Do you slow down to a crawl past every parked car? There is no way that you can see this happening. If there was, nobody would ever have a crash!! Just not going to happen…sorry your ideal world just doesn’t exist.

Went out tonight with mrs driving and driving at night passed parked cars freaks her out. Shes kept re-living the incident today and i can see this taking sometime to get over.

however i think your sick in the head for even contemplating suing a child for getting run over.
what is wrong with you? what kind of a world do you want to live in?

Lastly, can i just clear up what i originally meant. I am not looking to claim against the kid or her mum and dad. I am not wanting to take 50p per week off her for the next 15 years!!! I was asking from the view of will the insurance company be after them for the excess. I’m not going to be chasing them, that will be down to the insurance company.

Yesterday was just a shitty day thinking that:-

my mrs had to go through all of this,
we have to pay the excess as it goes down as a fault against her,
our premiums will go up thanks to the girl not taking time to cross the road.

Fingers crossed the mrs gets though it quick and that it all ends well.

Jonba, shes fully comp and from what she said on the phone to them, i get the feeling they will be after them for anything they can get.

My mrs called for the police and ambulance and after a 5-10 second “what the f#*k just happened” moment went into nurse mode and treated the girl. Just got to go to the police station tomorrow and produce her paperwork.

It just boils my piss that a girl of 12 (not 5,6 or 7) will just run into the road through some parked cars into a road full of moving cars. She has changed my wifes life, (and yes it could of been worse) but her mum and dad said it was only a matter of time before it happened to her.

Thanks for not teaching your kid the green cross code!!

And i’m not even going to answer what i’d be doing if the child had died.

Its just with her mum saying about her being on Facebook about it all afternoon, just hacks me off.

Things could of been a lot worse and no i wouldn’t of even thought about this had it been a young child or an accident that was mrs skips fault……

….but when your 12, you kind of know not to run into the road when cars are moving. Fingers crossed my mrs gets over it soon.

Kind of get the feeling that the insurance company may be looking into it.

We are glad that the girl is ok. Mrs skips said that she is just thankful that she hasn’t got the death of the girl to deal with for the rest of her life.

Don’t fancy a slave higgo, so may just opt to have her put down!! 😉

Molgrips, just smarts a bit on both ends thats all. We’re having to payout for the work while our new “robust” 12 year old friend is hard as nails on facebook.

My mrs is now at her dads as she didn’t want to be left on her own. She keeps re-playing it over and over again and then bursts into tears. Not wanting to bankrupt a family just asked if it could be done.

Mark, they have loads of tubes already coated for you to see the colours. I’ve had 2 frames sprayed by them and they were both very good. Turn around was about 3-4 days including them stripping old paint. Both were hardtails.

Just a small bit of advice, get some old BB cups, seatpost and headset that can be left in when they spray. First time it was a bit of a **** getting the paint out the threads. They just put some rolled up paper in.

    Good service tho.

I had a similar problem with my neighbour. His gutter was rotten and when it rained water would pour down the back of our house. After a winter of this and damp in 2 rooms, i phoned my solicitor who after a couple of shitty letters told me that he could not afford to have the work done. I could pay and then get hiom to pay me back at £1.00 a week type thing.

Went to coucil who told me he has a Duty of Care to keep his house in good condition. As it was affecting my house they would take things up with him. Sure enough, a week later, the council came and fitted new gutters to the house. They then charged him loads for doing the work.

All happy here now. Call the council and get them involved, they will sort it out and pass all the cost on.

Flew back with Ryanair last night from new year away and will not fly with them again. Bags that were the right size going out were ‘oversized’ on the way back and suit cases were just under weight (14.9kg and we had 15kg) but weighed 16kg on way back with no toiletries or suncream in and same other stuff!!

Have been told that Ryanair staff abroad are on ‘bonus’ payments if they can sting you for extra charges on the way back.

Just us and others will say they are great but we won’t be using them again.

Quick question if i may regarding insulation under the floor.

I have a cellar under my front room. It has 2 coal holes and a couple of air bricks. There is a radiator in there too.

Should i insulate my floor? Will me insulating it keep the room warmer above or does the radiator do a good enough job of heating the space? I can easily put up some insulation board as there is no ceiling in the cellar, just the joists.

    Thanks in advance.
