Just looking on YouTube and some kia and hyundai light look similar. With them, you unscrew the nuts, give it a VERY light tap outwards and the unit comes out on a wire. Could be wrong but you never know

We have an i30. As far as I can see, its a couple of cross heads/nuts and it should come off. Had a look on i30 owners forum and they say the same.

Not sure if it pulls out on wires or clips off but I’d unscrew it and give it a very light wiggle*.

*I’m not a fitter so don’t blame me if anything falls off.

Our pointer cross tore his a few years ago. He was old (over 10 and 25kg) so we didn’t opt for surgery as we didn’t know what that would do to him. Instead, we went for the rest option but also used Aqua Vet who have underwater treadmills and pools for the dogs to swim in.

3 months of the treadmill and our boy was walking well. This along with walks on the lead built the muscle round the joint so he could take his weight again. After about 6 months he was back off the lead although not bombing round like he did before.

He’s just turned 15 and this saturday we’re having him put to sleep as his whole backend has started to fail him. Best dog in the world and love him to bits. Not having the surgery never held him back. Metacam didn’t work for ours but we did give him “youmove” which is full of omega type stuff to help the joint.

Local press, get the word out. What is the place going to be used for? club meetings? Get them to sponsor part of it or pay rents now.

Auction off a room and have it named after the winner..”the Hora Banquet Hall”

Sponsored bike build, full bike to frame and parts back to full bike against the clock, you’d be good at that 😉

Me and the mrs went on holiday to Egypt end of last year. In a supermarket we saw loads of Cadburys chocolate bars, all in english and costing about £0.30 a bar. Big bars of fruit and nut for £0.50.

We got a couple of bars and had a bit each, it tasted funny so we checked the date thinking it would be 20 years old. All well in date but then we spotted the Kraft sign. Tried the other bar and then binned them both. Tasted like old chocolate that had turned white.

Think they may regret the use of Kraft when sales are hit.

Mum and dad in law have a place in Spain that they are trying to sell too. They have rented it out before and ended up with a couple of problems.

Rent and renew on 11 months or less. If it goes over 11 months, the tenant can stay in for upto 5 years before you can get them out (spanish law) and if they don’t pay the bills you’re stuck. We had this and bang at the end of 5 years he left. House was a crap hole and took some time to put right. He was spanish so knew how to play the rules.

Then rented to an english family who left after 6 months. Couple of problems but think they were suss.

Depending on where it is try holiday let, 1 – 2 week or try selling.

The market is picking up and houses are selling. Our house is on with an english man who looks after rented houses and sells them too, not a spanish agent. He’s shifted a few in the last couple of months without huge chunks being knocked off the asking price.

There are some UK solicitors that have offices in spain. You deal with the UK office and they deal with spain. Maybe cost a few quid more but worth it as they can’t just fob you off.

I’ve used Joe’s eco and the normal white with normal Maxxis, Specialized TLR and Maxxis TLR tyres. Normal maxxis weep clear for a few days/week while the block the sidewalls.

Both the Specialized and the Maxxis TLR ones held air perfectly with no real weeping. Infact the new maxxis has held air for a week or so without any sealant in it.

Joe’s has worked fine for me over the last couple of years with only one puncture that wouldn’t seal.

globalti has the right idea, wet is and sheet it with either bags or big poly sheets and tape. Don’t smash it up to get it in a bag. Its not a had job, just be careful and logical but do wear the correct mask and coveralls.

Did the chaps that took it away leave you any paperwork? That will tell you where they are taking it (part 4 of section A to be precise). If you didn’t get anything like that, you may find it in a local hedge bottom.

Thank ahwiles, sounds like it could be what i’m after. Speed is not really the issue, more making do with pretty crap roads!!

On a quick hijack, is it worth going fatter if you can?

I need some new tyres for my Defty (currently on Giants own 25c) and i have plenty of room for them or i think even 28c. Are there any benefits i may see from going for 28’s over the 25’s i have?

Does it go in the bum , would an ice cube rubbed on the skin dull the pain, pinch the skin or not?

Mrs skips was for fertility so in the tum round the belly button. Quick wipe with a alcohol wipe, let it dry, pinch and jab. On one of the jabs you have to hold the needle in for 10secs so trying not wobble is pretty important.

Give them a call if you need to know more. I’m sure the nurse/doctor will be happy to advise or give you help.

Mrs skip needed to have injections. Shes a nurse and used to giving them to other people but not herself. I ended up giving her the injections.

Its strange at first as i had no idea how strong skin is when trying to push a pin into it. I found it easier to take it slow and to be methodical. Lay all the bits you need out and tidy up as you go along. Be firm and don’t shake, you want to go straight in rather than dragging a needle over the skin scratching them.

I think jabbing a person you care about is harder than doing it to a stranger. A nurse will give you “just a sharp scratch” but when you care about the person, a scratch is the last thing you want to give them.

Think your right about it being Leeds by the name.

Glad you’re sorted now Will. Drivers are funny buggers, one of ours once came back with a 16yd skip full of tarmac. He thought it was a bit heavy when he drove back, what he didn’t see was the wheels on his lifting legs were on the floor when he went round corners…it had about 15 tonne in it so well over weight.

If its anything like this, you’ll be lucky to get it lifted.

If you’ve negotiated a better price for just rubble, then you’ll either have to move the waste yourself or pay extra for it to go. If not, then pull your rubble out and cover it with it. Get it level in the morning and tell them they must collect in the afternoon.

The problem is the Big Yellow Skip People only like rubble/building waste and their recycling station is only really set up for that, not for food and crap so they’ll prefer you to shift it.

Lots of good soapy, push the tyre to the rim and pump. I’ve a Decathlon track pump and the first time i tried it, i went red pumping away like a mad man. Nothing.

Stick on a lot of suds and with a bit of quick pumping they’ve all been up fine since.

Moshi – i only had a sit on and quick scoot round the shop on the Remedy so i think i’ll get a demo day in to see what its like. Currently have a zesty that feels longer but could do with trying one after the other.

Some of the figures don’t read right on the website, the stand over on a XL frame being lower than that of a S, no idea how that works out.

    skiprat

I went looking at a Remedy (650b) at the weekend and for the size of the frame, they are quite short reach wise. I’m 6’1″ and tried a 19.5″ (Treks official size) and was right on the limit of the bike reach wise. Was advised to look at a 21.5″ to get the reach right but then not sure the rest of the bike will feel quite right.

Looking at other bikes such as Commencal, their reach is over 1/2″ longer for the same frame but with lower standover. Shame as in the flesh, the Remedy is a great looking bike and feels light too.

As others have said above, local tip will take small amounts.

Spray with a garden hose before moving it or if you’re really keen, water down some PVA and spray that via plant sprayer to stop any fibres falling off. Rainy days are best. Asbestos content will be max 10% if its sheet. White coveralls from B&Q and FFP3 mask. Double bag the asbestos and zip tie the tops then take off your kit and bag that too.

We dispose of it but are not licensed removers. Had to price a job up and was gob smacked at what they quoted. Its stupid £’s. Take your time and be methodical and you’ll be fine.

Had it 2 or 3 years ago with the spots/blisters on the top of my head. The mrs says you can still see the pot marks they left. Little bit of pain, nothing major, but felt very run down. Had a week off work as i just couldn’t do more that 2 hours without going back to sleep.

Took a good 2-3 weeks to get back to normal so i think the long rides best cancelled this weekend.

Used them once with no problems at all. My mum has used them too.

Think they even match sale prices now so have a look about and they’ll match it.

Was also told about using Boots (after we used ao). Bloke a couple of doors up from me saved £££’s. Used Boots price to get a price match in another store that had stock. He used a local branch of boots as it head to be within 3 miles. Worked for him.

We went a couple of months ago for 4 nights and did most of the stuff on sgn23’s list. We had a car for a couple of days and with £10 of fuel did the whole island a few times!! We worked our way round the coast road and each bay one day.

Some of the beaches/bays are stunning. Its a nice place to just go and relax and not do much other than eat and drink. German bunker fish shop for lunch when the suns out is great, lobster, prawns, scallops, bread, salad, jersey royals and a couple of cans of pop for less than £20. Whats not to like? (seafood i guess if you don’t like it).

Lots of WW2 history, some of which is really interesting.

All in a great place for a few days but that’s about all you’ll want there.

Ours came and fitted a new dish (even though old one worked as we’d used it since we moved in) but used the old cables. Checked them and was happy with them. Box on and a quick chat about what was what.

Had a question for sky the other week and saw our engineer in the supermarket. Quick 2 min chat and i was sorted. Nice bloke and happy to help (i think) and was like this on the day of installation.

Got a HR2 3C on the front and use my old HR on the rear. Plenty of grip at the front so very happy with it.

I run tubeless on DT rims and it went up straight away with a track pump and a bit of soapy water. Holds air pretty well too. I got mine from Stif when they had a maxxis sale on and it was about £30. Might be worth looking there to see if its on offer again.

OP, talk to your landlord about this and let them know whats happening. As i said before, my tenant had the same and wasn’t a happy bunny. I knew nothing about this fee. He told the LA to go jump. I have just found his email telling them this.

The waived it and they’re happy again.

Email them and get it all in writing.

Check your contract and re-read all the small print. My tenants had this the other year, £120 to re-new. He read his contract back to front and couldn’t find mention of it anywhere. He also questioned what it was for and told them to do one. I was included on the emails and we spoke about it on the phone. They waived it and that was that.

Have a good look and see what you signed up to.

Should manage that quite easily. We did 5 in a Transit connect once, 4 were full bikes and the last had the wheels out. If they all had wheels off there’d of been loads more room. We also had a few bags of kit in there and sleeping bags too.

Yep can wheelie with both, one or no hands. Was easier years ago when the headset on my Clockwork (when i was 15) was indexed due to lack of money and lack of maintenance.

Set to straight ahead and off you go……Now the bars move a bit more freely but i still got it 8)

Tried a waterbed? We got ours about 4 years ago now and its spot on. Will never need to bother getting a new mattress as you can’t wear water out. Couple of people i know have had them for 20 years+

A few nights playing about getting the firmness/softness right, just add or take out water and you’re good to go.

Heated so nice to get in in winter and the water absorbs your body heat so not sweaty in summer. You only use a 4 tog duvet so not weighed down by heavy covers trying to keep warm.

My mrs suffered with fibromyalgia. Since getting the bed shes been loads better on a night time so happy here.

This is who we got ours off http://www.aquastarsleep.co.uk/
