We enjoyed it last year, it was our first 24hr race and was a good learning curve for us and the Wildboar people.

From what they’ve put, it sounds like they have taken it on board and got rid of the fire roads!!

Take her out on the easy ones first.Took mrs skip to Ladybower and hired a bike as she hadn’t been on one for years. She enjoyed it and went and got her own bike. Now shes done Dalby’s red route and even been to Spain with the bikes in the mountains.

Take it easy at first and she’ll thank you for it in the end!!

Depends how often they go wrong!! Boosters are about £ 35 a year and i would say expect to go again in the year for a quick fix problem like a snapped claw or cut leg, usually about the same price. Long ear dogs need cleaning in ears to stop infection or its regular trips to the vets.

Get a dog from the pound, feels better to have saved a dog rather than just got one from someone that just breads any time they can!! And as hora says, get one that doesn’t malt, ours sheds loads all the time!! Hes not popular with mrs skip when shes wearing black ready to go out!!

Got an 08 and i think its a great bike. Suspension is soooo smooth and it rides very well. I got the green and white one and the paint is a bit suspect in places, dont know if the root beer one could be the same?

Had the same problem as orena45 with the front hub, bearings just siezed. Only a couple of quid from bearing shop and they are easy to put in so not too bothered. Still, was a bit pi**ed as it was only about 3 months old.

As for being on the long side, i wouldnt say it was too long. Got the 19.5 (really 18.5) and i’m approx 6’2". Was going to fit a shorter stem than the one fitted but its very comfy as it is. There’s also more frame sizes to pick from so you should find one to fit.

All in, its a great bike. Try one before parting with your cash first if you can

Got a pointer x from the RSPCA 8 years ago. He and his brother were found in a high rise flat but they wouldn’t let them go as a pair. They had trashed to joint.

Even after having dogs all my life, he is the best one yet. When he was younger he would run all day with the bike, and then want more when i got back!! He’s slowing down now but can still do 10-15 miles.

As for being at left on his own, gf is a nurse and works shits so at most he has about 4 hours to kill. He has the radio left on for company. Only problem with him is he’s a hair dropper!! And lots of it!!

As other people have said above, “try before you buy” as it were. They are alot of work and can stop you doing things if you get asked at very short notice but are worth their weight in gold!! Good luck

Cheers GW, bikes 7 month old, used once or twice a week. Only problem is that because they bite so early, the levers are quite away from the bars.

They would just be more comfortable if they bit closer.

GW – have 185’s front and rear. The bikes a large Fuel EX8. I’m a bit less than 14 1/2 stone.

I think the brakes are about right for the bike (and me) there just seams to be very little lever movement before the brakes bite. I could maybe understand if the pads were always binding but they run free.

I run Mono Minis on my hard tail and they have loads of travel before they lock up.
