Very similar to you, 6ft 1 1/2" and 33" inside leg. I was in the same position as you. I got hold of a medium and it was ok but i just didn't have the room to move about on it. Spoke to Paul at Cotic and he said go large. Ordered one of the new ones and have to say its great. It fits well, climbs great and does go downhill well too. I run a 90mm stem and inline post.

All in its a cracking bike. Some will say that they don't do this and you can't do that on it, but i have to say that i can do all i want on it and i'm no where near the limit of the bike.

Got some 661 ones and i like them. I had carpal tunnel operation at the end of March and as such have a nice scar that runs up the palm of my hand. It is still sensitive and my hand won't bend all the way back like my other hand.
Had a fall the other week and got up all ok and i did land on my hand.

They take a little getting used to as the one i got has plastic plates that you can slide in and out. I run without and just the velcro straps offer enough support. With the plates in they offer loads of support. All in i think they are good but i'm not sure i'd use them if it hadn't been for the operation.

    This is what i use.

The problem is that the A61 Barnsley to Wakefield – South/West Yorkshire has those cats eyes on in that are lit all the time. You just want to turn your lights off and drive…its like an episode of Buck Rogers when the space ships take off…….

    …..or so i've been told

Please dont drive with your lights off, its silly and unsafe!!

Cheers doc, my only problem is i worked in the solvent industry for a number of years (getting covered in the stuff) and thanks to the internet my wife now has all sorts of things running through her mind.

Sure it'll be nothing anyway. (fingers crossed)

I just can't wait!!!!! Blood and protein in pee, no pain and no other problems noted. Just have to wait and see.

I did the certificate in december with Connaught. They have the highest pass rate for the certificate. Tutors have all been in industry and present very well. They are now asking if i want to do the diploma (distance learning). It might be something i do in a few months once i get used to looking after the H&S side of things at work.

I would use them as they do train you well. Tutors gave us their email addresses in the run up to the exams to keep asking questions if your unsure. Our 2nd tutor even asked us to mail him our results. They want you to pass, they're not just in it for the money.

fitted some a few months ago and they are still going well. Loads of power, just touch the lever and the back end is locked. A little grabby at first but loads of power.

Plenty of pad left but as above, may be due to dry weather and not just the pad. Bugger to fit (to Avids) had to scrape baking plate down a bit on the outer edges but worth it in the end.

We went from Leeds/Bradford to Spain the other year and had to pay the extra. I had weighed the bag before so knew it was 2kg over.

However on the way back, they didn't even weigh them and just took them straight through. No extra charges and to be fair they were very good at both ends.

My wife does it and has done for the last couple of years. Think she said the tax break was about £70 per year. They can't travel to and from work in their uniform so no chance of looking like your several months late for a halloween party!!

Could be interested in this. I live between Barnsley and Rotherham (from Sheff originally) and to be honest i have bugger all idea of what there is locally!! I have the trans pennine trail at the bottom of my road and would love to be able to use this to link stuff together.

As long as the pace isn't stupid on a night (like ahwiles said some of us have early starts and heavy work at times) it sounds like it could be fun.

As for getting people interested, how about some sort of discount for regular riders? Not just a turn up once and get x% off, but ride regular and get a bit back?

If your not too bothered about what time of year you get married, try for early in the year. Place we got married did an offer for Jan and Feb. Cut a couple of grand of the price for wedding, meal, drinks and evening bun fight.

As for the dress, friend of our bought one of those made to measure ones from China on Ebay. £5 dress, £75 postage. Just measure her up, send them off and a couple of weeks later the dress came and was spot on. Perfect, very well made and up to date design (so mrs skip says)

Best of luck with it all (and agree that the most expensive ones are also the most tacky!!!)

I put petrol in my diesel van. 1/5 tank diesel left and then full tank of petrol. Drove it for about 20 miles and then started to loose power. Got to a junction and then it just stopped!! Then i remembered what i'd done!!

Recovery bloke said it would of been ok if it was just a few litres of petrol with the rest of the tank filled up with diesel. It just dilutes it and will burn it in the end. Just keep topping the tank up as often as you can (daily) to keep diluting whats left in the tank. Mine cost (the company) £140 to drain, get it all out the lines and dispose of the mixture.

Ours is £66 a month for both gas and electric with Eon. 3 bed terrace (approx 1900 build) with rooms in the loft that are not that well insulated. Eves are well insulated and have lagged pipes where i can see them. Had a new boiler a couple of years ago and that made a huge difference to the gas bill. Old one had no thermostat and so had to be on all the time, new one just clicks on and off as it pleases. Other bonus is that it doesn't have to heat a whole tank of water, just what you need.

Put into court, i'll try and find you the website (gov one) we use. Feed in all the information and then they either pay up or agree a payment scheme. Will ask my sister (our Pauls mrs) as shes a debt collector for a solicitors and knows the right way to do things.

I may not be liked for saying this but this gets my goat. Things havn't gone right for your sister and i'm sorry to hear that but theres the good old NHS ready to pick up the pieces. Shes paid and is in more of a state now than had she not paid and waited to go through the NHS.

This is the same as a lady at work who's son went private for an op on his hand. After 2 private ones, they're now back with the NHS grumbling saying oh we've had to wait and his new op hasn't worked fully, yet they're trying to make good a bad situation.

As for talking to someone to on how to put things right, i'm sure she signed a consent form prior to the op saying that it may or may not go right. I had carpal tunnel release op about 10 weeks ago i had all the advantages and disadvantages explained to me prior to the op. I know other people who've had the op and its gone wrong but i still made the decision to have it. Lucky for me it worked.

As for the NHS surgeon who said he felt he was too inexperienced to do it, good for him for saying that. He may of been able to perform the op had the other 2 ops not been done before? At least he didn't want to risk damaging her foot anymore than it already is, just to get her through and off the waiting list.

Get her to go to her GP. I got a choice of hospitals and went for the one with the shortest waiting time. My wife had the same, choice of 4 hospitals to be refered to.

I hope that it all works out for your sister. Try and spend time with her and keep her mind off this as much as you can. It will be hard over the next few months while she waits to be seen but i wish you and her all the best.

Brasher or Solomon here. Friends have Brasher and I've got Solomon. Both make cracking boots that are very comfy and last!! Had mine 3years now and still have plenty of life left in them.

Try either and i'm sure you'd be happy.

Enjoy the day and take time to take it all in. It goes by so quick that you'll wake up the next day having missed bits that her in doors saw and you didn't and vice versa.

Take plenty of pictures and if you can get someone to video it, do it even if its a mate with a handycam type thing. We got married in Feb this year (still married too) and have priceless bits like me "hushing" her grand parents up when they were talking over the speaches and the glare i shot them. Didn't know i'd done it til i saw the film. Oh and picking on her mum for liking a drink!! 😆

Have an easy night the night before (stag night week before to give you time to get over it, get some cream to stop the itch, get out of prison…..)

Enjoy Scotland and Edinburgh, thats where we went too!!

Have a good one and all the best for the future.

Theres always one that has to go one better isn't there llama!! 😉

Mine beats yours anyway as it was called a "burn" and not a "scald".

Will ask Coffeeking about the numbness next visit. Will need more dressings this week. Leaving the silicone netting on and just changing the fabric dressing on top of that for the next week or so.

    For those who asked

The dimpled pattern is from the special non stick dressing. Was numb last night when we cleaned it and re dressed it.

I had carpal tunnel op 7 weeks ago and although scar is tender, i have full use of hand and fingers. Mine would have pins and needles in the thumb and next two fingers and i would wake up in the middle of the night.

Now i sleep right through. I know of people who've had it done and it hasn't worked out right but thats the chance you take. Loads of people said get it done rather than having injections, few weeks of pain but worth it in the end.

Go to the docs and get refered for nerve conduction studies at hospital. That should give you a good idea what it is. As its your little fingers, i doubt it'll be carpal.

I'll get a pic up later, having a dressing changed tonight so should be fun.

Was bleeding from a couple of places the other day so we'll see how it is tonight!! I've quite literally got a "cracking" suntan on one hand!! 😆

    Thanks for the info coffeeking.

Ask to look at his plans for the ne house. Will his developmet of that house impact living in yours? Are you going to be overlooked all the time? Will you still have sunlight in your garden?

As for the wall, builders have just knocked an old house down and rebuilt a new one near me. All rendered breeze block construction as far as i can remember. House looks stunning now its all painted. Done right, you've nothing to worry about.

(I'm no builder tho, so if it all fall down dont blame me!! 😉 )
