I grew up in Cheshire and had some great riding on the doorstep. I live in Melbourne Australia now and the riding of any decent calibre is a drive away in any direction. 45 minutes gets me to my “local” trails, an hour and a bit in the other direction gets me to the manmade trail centre, and 3 hours drive up north east gets you to Mount Buller for really decent riding. Road riding isn’t bad here especially during summer along the beach road.

A friend of ours has one, she swears by it. The mrs was dragged by her to a demo of it at her house, she still prefers to cook old school in her Jamie Oliver pans. Women and gadgets 🙄

Love the old metal in this thread which confirms to me that we rode bikes at their zenith!

The bike for me lately which makes my loins twitch is this Bob English jobbie. Don’t know why as I hate single speeds and have only just bought a 29er frame, but this is just soooo right!

OT, but has anyone had this problem?

I bled my 785’s after shortening the hoses. The front is great has a nice lever feel, but the rear although it works fine, has a slow lever return with a sort of “step” at the end of the travel. Never got round to doing another bleed since i fitted them nigh on 6 months ago, but should really fix it. Any tips?

    longtime lurker first time poster…..

Faffing around on Saturday trying to get my front wheel sealed up so i could ride it. I know, I’ll go to the servo and blow it up there…

Get the bead sealed nice, slop in some sealant and hit the “flat tyre” setting on the forecourt pump. Waiting to hear the pop pop pop of the bead seating itself and keeping an eye on the display, the tyre launches itself off the rim with a mighty bang, i get covered in sealant and as the rim makes a lunge at my face in the ensuing carnage i catch it on the brake disc.

    Finger resembling ET’s later on
