I made ours out of some cherry boards that a friend had, and some pine posts. I used the springs/slats/things from an old ikea bed to dictate all the sizes. Was very easy. Alison was most impressed(not easy).

I have a lightwave T10. It’s at least 10 years old and is still in excellent condition despite being used for weeks at a time.
It weights 1.12kg without the bag and with some fancy pegs. Very easy to put up. Point the low end into the wind and it’s fairly quiet.
I toy with buying a Terra Nova laser occasionally but the lightwave is still in such good nick.

Always check for scratches on the UV glass before you leave the shop. The stuff is a nightmare to work with. Scratches if you breathe near it.

Scribe it with a Stanley knife and a straight edge. If its only 2mm itll be fine. A slightly blunt Stanley blade is actually better.

You’ve got double glazing I presume? Its very straight forward to remove a glazed panel from the inside.
