Or the Range Rover adverts… "It analyses the road a billion times a second and adapts to conditions"…
Yeah, to make it easier to drive like a moron and double park outside Waitrose at rush hour…

They do a 15.5(virtual),17.5(virtual), 18.5(virtual), 19.5(virtual), and 21.5"(virtual). For 6'1" in my experience from working in a Trek dealers i'd guess 19.5", though it's always best to sit on a bike first…

The Zeppelin is just incredible! I used to have a Zeppelin and an Arcam CD separate system, and have since happily ditched the separates… It fills a big room no problem! My only gripe is I think the remote is a little fiddly.

Headshocks are 1 9/16ths, which is an exclusive size to heashock and lefty forks. New headset i'm afraid…

You should post on here how you get on, and what you think of the riding, as I am emigrating over there hopefully before the winter (as soon as i get my damn visa) and it will be good to hear what a brit thinks of the riding… 🙂

When you start talking £7,500 for a FRAME
    Cervelo R5CA
    and $15,000 for WHEELS
    LEW Pro-VT
By the time you've thrown in Di2 and some choice bits, it's possible to crack £20k no problem…
That's before you begin talking about proper custom stuff…

You are joking me! Do you know what £25 could get you in a lap-dancing club? Actually, never mind…

Although the brakes can be a bit of bother, you don't have much choice with cable discs i'm afraid, as road levers have different cable pull to v-brake levers. Avid do one, Shimano do one. That's it as far as i'm aware… Personally, i'd rather have cantis as at least they feel nice.

I have used "Bike Shield" tape on carbon frames for years, and it has been great… Adhesive velcro is also superb for high impact areas like chainstays.

They are very nice cranks… Fitting is a piece of piss, but when it comes to bearing replacement they are more of a pain in the ass… Also you will need to check the torque after the first couple of rides as the 10mm bolt settles a little. I prefer shimano personally, but that's just because some campag spares are **** and hard to get a hold of in my experience.

For what it's worth, a Reba bush kit R8851000 is £35, and the tool R6353000 is £102…
I agree with PP, i would be amazed if they're shot already unless you've been making a real hash of your monthly servicing…
    Good luck!

I am sorry to day, the Carbon Blur XC is NOT the best bike ever… However, the Carbon Blur LT? YES, that is the best… Plus, you can get up to a 160mm fork on the front if that tickles you fancy 🙂

    Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam,
Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters,
David Byrne from the Talking Heads,

The flows are bad ass! I have had them on my DH bike for 18 months now and they are perfect… I have different wheels for Fort William though…

Have you unravelled the other side to check they are both the same? Maybe it was a previously returned item? Brand-X stuff is utter shit, but it's not necessarily CRC's fault…

I run "bike shield" protective tape on the top tube and head tube, and the outside of the seat stays. On the underside and inside edge of the driveside seat stay I have adhesive velcro and it keeps the frame nice and safe from chain slap and is real quiet 🙂

That's a 70mm stem i have, and it suits the bike really well. I'm about 5'10". It's only a Joplin 3 I have, but i really don't see any need to have more adjustment than that. If anything I would get on fine with even less adjustment!

Ditto, I'm on a large but am still medium on other brands… The monarch is fine actually! I opted for that just so the brand matches the revelations… (I'm weird that way) I've had RP23 shocks on other bikes in the past and i think it feels identical… It will be interesting to see what the new Monarch Plus shock will be like when it comes out.
Since the photo I now have a remote for the joplin which is a big improvement, Raceface SixC bars, and next on the list are some Continentals (I'm thinking Rubber Queen 2.2 front, Mountain King rear).

I have had one since October last year and it is the business! I wanted one ever since the first pictures were leaked and I still think it's the best trail bike out there! No issues whatsoever… I re-greased the bearings for the first time last week after a particularly minging ride and the grease that came out was still immaculate… Top marks! PS. It's perfectly balanced with the 150mm revs, but I also think it would be nice with something like a 160mm 36. It just depends what you will be using it for the most! Here's mine…

Filing flats onto the opposite edges of the head so you can use a small spanner is more likely to work than putting a groove in for a screwdriver if the bolts are tight. Plus, if that fails, you can always try both…

This is how the top end goes together (for a cartridge model) and the bottom is mirrored, but instead of a split ring, it is the fork crown race…

I think everyone has their own names for bits and pieces… My favourites are Rocky Rooty, Flux, Clifftop, Riverside, Windmill and the rest are just a mish mash of bits I like to string together… I map my rides on my phone GPS software, but I quite like that there is still some mystery and that a lot of trails just don't get ridden!

I fitted flat chromag bars to my 224 and loved them, but lent them to a mate and used his sunline low-risers in the interim. It turns out it was more the width that I liked than the rise, so I now also have sunlines… Anyone want to buy some flat bars?

The shifters are the same for double and triple (with a switch to select the relevant set-up) The spacing for the chainrings is different to M970, and the cable pull is different. Unfortunately, everything pretty much needs to match (though i'm sure you could use dyna-sys XT or SLX chain and cassette). The only thing that puts me off, is the cranks are different for the different ring setups, so once you've chosen your ratios you're stuck. I fancy the 40/28, though it's not as pretty as the 38/26.

You will need the symmetric rim strips from Bontrager for the Rhythm wheels (£4 each) and the Bontrager valves (also £4 each). Any sealant will work in theory, but latex based ones like Stans etc work the best. It's actually a very good system, and a sight cheaper than other conversion kits! Go for it 🙂

I used to get that too, so i rotated the bars back a bit so the hoods sit up slightly. Problem solved

Go for the 550D… It's mint! Since getting mine i have started looking at everything differently and can do some pretty arty stuff that my compact doesn't even know exists! I got a Gorrillapod for it last week too which really helps. 🙂

I used to have a Taurine and i regret ever selling it… The flash team would be my dream hardtail, though i would take the sram off it… I disagree about the paint scheme comments too, i think it's ace! Enjoy! 🙂
