Superb to see him riding after all that, and has cheered me up to, day 4 of being home for me after spending 8 days in hospital due to a washout and rolling over my outstretched arm, broke my hand , my radius , broke and split my ulna from my wrist to my elbow ( now have 6″ Ti plate) , 10 stitches in other arm and some rather painful nerve damage to my left leg!!
Felt low this morning after a crap night of dull aches and pains, but seeing your lad on all those machines has made me take a good swig of MTFU ,

    Best wishes for the future,

the first time i saw the Rocket i wasn’t sure,

after some of the more recent photos i can’t help want one, why would i sell my 2011 heckler frame to buy a frame made of Reynolds and alloy ??,

er because i had a Soul thats why, those welds still make me drool, the ring of those tubes, the orange paint,
the finish, the way Cy answered my questions personally by phone and was honest,

the rocket, looks lovely and i have no idea why, those bolts, nothing, little redesign, a small bit of Ti
few mins on the 5 axis i’ll soon have that sorted,

two types in life those who moan, belittle , don’t achieve, don’t strive, don’t put there neck above the parapet

and then there is the rest of us,

    it’s just ying and yang,

so Cy you got my money 😉

they seem to live in my sash box in the bathroom window and have been emerging for the past 3-4 weeks !
one morning i picked around 10 off that were in a group by one of the sash cords,

god knows what i was breaking up, some kind of keys in the coffee table bowl party ???

this is our second year of infestation, but don’t have the heart to destroy them.

    i have a ladybird hotel 😯

the chain length is fine, followed advice on the forum last week,

big chain ring to big cog, through the mech and leave enough for plenty of movement all with no air in
    shock on max compression,

i gave it a few more links than this.

one of my mates lives in melbourne for the winter every year, he’s a dab hand with a camera,

I have a huge file of these from last year, unfortunately as he’s Welsh, he didn’t make it on sunday as he was having a ‘nana nap’ after the rugby.

thanks for the vid, guilty of annihilating my 1 week old XO short mech this morning,

had to ride it 5 miles home with only half the lower jockey wheel intact, made a noise like a metronome !!

though no problem as i have some spare jockey wheels, but unfortunately i managed to delaminate the carbon cage during the ride, bummer.

I can’t believe there has been no haters !,

    currently only shooting my HW100 rifle (as in non-carbine), with a MTC viper 4-16 x 50 mil-dot.
best air rifle i have ever owned.

just out of interest, if i lived in americky and had a farm, i too would use an AR15 to shoot coyotes.

if you don’t want to see a wild coyote being punished for taking livestock then do not click the link below,

but if you do get ready for some redneck speak.

mine was on the monkey at Cannock at the end of one of the first parts, beautiful day, summer 2010.

came out the wood to a small run of steps where you cross the fire road then the stream, I was watching my mate crossing the bridge instead of watching where i was going and the second to last step had me clean over the bars down onto the rocks on the side using my chest as padding, i did a few rolls before coming to a stop, 1 broken finger, two broken ribs, loads of bruises and cuts.

bike was still rideable so i finished the rest of the monkey and FTD before being driven 100 miles home and packed off to the hospital.

hurt a bit but generally had a good day 😀

unlike this weekend, i crashed my sovereign friday practicing wheelies doing around £100 of damage and coming down pretty hard on my left side, ( i was actually seeing stars for around 3 mins). then this morning on my way to the woods on my heckler i lost the bike coming over a canal swing bridge, real surprise, coming down really hard on my right side and trashing my 2 week old short cage carbon XO rear mech…aghhhhh

    both bikes in 48 hrs!!!!

    As above where abouts ??

I live in bletchley ( the nice bit) there has been several bikes knicked round here as well and last night I was in the garden at midnight with my lupine wilma as it sounded like one of my neighbours sheds was being done again!!,

Just reading your post prompted a walk to the shed !

I’m up Woburn in the morning so will spread the word, I also work up in kiln farm and ride the redways so will keep my eyes peeled,

That’s bad luck m8 I hope you had them covered in your insurance, mine are bolted to the ground and my man shed is like a bunker .

mine’s a 2010, the headset looks flared but it’s nothing more than two bands of thicker steel either end
sort of like a dumbbell if you like, normal headset,

i emailed gabe and kevin at Evil with questions before committing to buy, they were very approachable despite having the crappest website in the world.

Ah ….I’m 5’11” with a long body/ short legs and I ride a medium sov, I had a lot of trouble finding the correct size in the end I put the dims of my cotic soul next to the dims of the evil and it was plain to see, did the same last year when I bought a sc heckler , I like short stems currently run 70mm on both the evil and the heckler, I also favour a shorter bike over a gate,

Try getting all the sizes and comparing with your current ride, hope that helps

i was riding a cannondale badboy SS, but after 3 yrs it pretty much had had enough, so last year
i got myself a Kona bandwagon from Merlin or maybe it was wiggle, as a ‘bike in a box’, £399 absolute bargain and well worth a commuting punt.

god that was awful to watch, in utter pain all the way through,

i would rather risk being stabbed than just sit and do nothing of any use like this guy,

mtfu and go for the jugular fast before he know’s what’s happened and has a chance to do something about it
    then gtf out.

too many different names, what is the SSSI on the side of empires ? surely not the single track that goes to the left of the empires entrance ? i think some call it ”self harm” ?

double step is the climb near the marsh/pond area at the end of the horsebox carpark as said above, this was the first part to get a new sign around 8 weeks ago.

can see the point in that being no go, newts i recon !!!,

I use arko, love the stuff,

you getting a good lather up ?,
    don’t let it dry out,
shave small fast strokes, couple of inches then switch edge, repeat, rinse, go again,
if your drying out, wash off lather then mix some fresh soap, go again,

    other top tips,

    shower prior to shaving,
fill the sink with hot water, drop your razor in it, drop your brush in it,
fill bowl or similar with around 10mm of hot water, sit the Arko in it,
take your hot brush, pour the water out the bowl and rub the arko on the brush and your beard after then mix your lather in the bowl.
(i find my second lather is always less effective, to counter i try and shave fast short strokes and finish before the bowl lather has dried out)

i use a slightly costly but very nice Chanel bleu aftershave lotion, bloody pricey but works really well on razor burn
    and doesn’t give me spots.

another top tip, buy the Jap ‘feathers blades’, they are so sharp ,i switched to them after around 10 shaves with other brands, by far the best don’t be afraid to use then, they won’t cut your head off.

    Soz teamhurtmore,

    wasn’t trying to argumentative,

i did convert because i hate big corps like Gilette, they have definitely
done us over with a product that is a lot more expensive and about the same quality shave wise, good trick, even my Dad siad no don’t use a DE you will cut your head off etc, never have yet tho’

Er shaving on films ? , I would have thought that actor may have been acting and would maybe think twice about the analogy of it,

You have to try and find soaps etc that are good, I use arko , still using the same stick 1 yr on and at the current rate it will last around another 2 yrs !!! I think it was about 4 quid,

I use a range of blades mainly feathers , I find th the best , I think the whole point of converting is based on costs, those plastic Gillette’s etc are just so expensive especially when you need a new pack of blades and a tin of squirty foam, I’m Pretty sure they didn’t design the Gillette plastic razors just to give you a more smoother shave but to put you in a position from which they can charge you a stack of cash for something you think is better than before,

    colournose,

have to agree on a good quality moistueriser, i use (god i hate to say it) Chanel Blue lotion, bit pricey but very good and the misses likes the smell, in fact so do i as i bought it in Cyprus last April and it is a feel good sunshine and sand smell for me…perfect for after the DE

I lost my mojo twice last year, came back after a few weekends of good rides , just stay on the bike and ride
It will soon return , mine was caused by heavy crashes so I took it easy for a while and bingo 😛

Try riding all your favourite bits for a while then get back into the difficult bits again

Sunday I rode the bit I feared the most no probs, also try mirroring the guy in front unless he is laying
in a heap in the trail before you

I’ve had 1 small tumbler of 30% proof Lemoncello since 28th December, but then again on the 28th i did go round the ‘Poles’ house for a polish christmas meal and drink, 3 bottles of 40% polish Vod between 3 of us !! (you can do the math) and the late evening spent with the head in the bowl and i no longer felt like drinking,

apparently I ‘drink like man’ and have had many polish hugs since, they were also sick, apparently this is good, as is collapsing in a heap on the floor unconscious, which one of them did and i did not,( too busy being sick)

i should add I’m 15 yrs older than them.

anyway my normal drinking routine is around 1-2 glasses of vino a week and or maybe 2 small beers,

couple of days off is normal for me

    NOTE:

NEVER EXCEPT A DRINK WITH POLISH PEOPLE IN THEIR HOME ON THEIR TERMS. EVER.
