    Mrblobby !!

That’s a classic statement. I love the concept that people would by a Ford over a BMW !!

    hmm 1 dead, that’s bad,very bad.

it will destroy any faith in safety.

Personally I wouldn’t consider it, you would need a cattle prod to get me onboard the space shuttle with the whole NASA budget behind it.

    commercial space programs no thanks.

    Vettel has signed with Ferrari.

Alonso has two choices really, sit it out for a year or get shafted by Ron,

Arguably the best driver in the world has shot himself in the foot.

In reference to owning a nice watch I must disagree with certain comments.

You should wear it always. I have worn mine everyday for 8 yrs, in the shower,in the sea, in the pool, at work at my desk downstairs in the factory, digging in the garden etc etc.

It will get knocked, it will get scratched, and eventually it will stop working and you will have to get it fixed.

Had mine serviced by Rolex this year. Best part of 500 notes. They did wreck the bracelet by hamfisted polishing and I complained bitterly so they replaced it and even replaced the crystal and had their head of refurb rework the case etc and sent me pictures of each stage for my approval before I agreed to have it back.

The thing to remember is it’s not the end of the world anything can be fixed.

I would say that getting that much water inside an automatic is not good, leave the crown pulled, don’t restart it, take it to a dealer tell them what you have done and let them send it for a service.

I looked at a 530d, 535dM and ended up saving a pile of money and bought a Mercedes Benz C350 AMG sport+ instead, beautifully smooth V6 with a VGT turbo. Huge amounts of torque and power.
Both premium German marques but both marmite to most.
    It’s worth a look though.

Oh and I drive 400 miles a week and get an average of 43mpg with a heavy foot.
Service cost are fixed my 15000 ml first service cost around 300 sheets.

My god who’s being racist !

If you mean me I was pointing out that hitler just got lucky but once we pulled together he got his arse kicked.
    Putin only ever wanted Sebastopol
And the daily mail is shite ?

And also mattjg got it spot on with the land corridor.

that funny man who wrote mein kampf was a bit of a chancer who got lucky.

he just did a slightly quicker and much better job than old imperial germany had previuosly tried in 1914. the thing was europe was still weak and broke after the 1st round thats why he got away with it.

this is a totally different thing all together, we will stand by and let him do what he wants because all he wants is somewhere to keep the black sea fleet and easy access to suez and the med.

as for risking finances by going to war it’s well documented that during the two world wars the US and British banks still provided finance and banking to germany and the other axis powers. putin won’t go to war with the west because he doesn’t need to. it’s not a risk. which is why the headlines are all about some couple who took their kid to spain and some hollywood stars naked snaps.

proof is they shot down an airliner by accident and everyone was like..sh1t..what a bastard. if that was a middle eastern muslim country the daily mail would be flat out along side the sun for sending in the troops.

your right about the polish though they are bricking it as i found out at work the other day, its all they talk about.

Pringled my rear stan’s flow ex in morzine in July.

3 yrs ago I broke 3 xo rear mechs in 5 weeks !! Mostly in granny ring while climbing ( chain length fail).
I learned when I broke the third that if you have 3 broken rear mechs all the same you can if your lucky strips them and make a new one from the bits. So not a total waste then 80

I’m sitting in a villa in Cyprus observing my fat neighbours while reading this,.

Couldn’t agree more with the comment that people eat too much and don’t exercise.

I’m looking at a prime example right now. These people get up at 1 pm everyday (well the last eight anyway) and waddle out onto the poolside, they dip in it to keep cool but the most strenuous thing they do is go by car at 2 pm to get kebabs from the local village, ( only the fella goes I’m suspecting his mrs guards the fridge and biscuits from their kids)

They lay around until 5 then disappear inside again until 7 when a taxi picks them up and takes them into town with their kids, they return around 2 and repeat this everyday.
I would like to think they are doing something other than just stuffing their faces but I doubt it.

This ,as the prickly humourless amongst us may point out is none of my bloody business and I couldn’t agree more which is why when I see one of them convulsing during a huge seizure I shall walk straight past.

Rubbish food + big portions + no exercise is why people are fat

it was loud and bright at 2:30am in milton keynes, blew over in around a half hour to just a distant rumble.

at it’s peak there was a lot of water and as the others said flashes of lighting and the sound of thunder was almost constant.

woke agin just before 5am for another bout, a little disaapointed as not much second time round, but sat watching the lighting while having breakfast was pretty cool,

    off to work now……

I really hope this goes well when it finally happens, I do worry though though because any failure will in an instant become catastrophic,

I like the fact that they are pushing the boundaries but i do feel this is one which maybe doesn’t quite need pushing.

these are only my feelings and i wish them luck and i hope they all return safely no matter what the outcome.

Not sure about the riding but it’s very nice in kyrenia. Lots to see and a late meal in the old harbour with a stroll along the sea wall can’t be beat. It’s amazing value for money and the food is top notch especially the restaurants toward the castle. I found the army kept itself to itself the soldiers around the town are impeccably behaved and I only realised they were soldiers when I realised they all had short hair and were in squad sized groups.

A stroll near the mosque is also a must there’s some rather nice restaurants tucked away up the back streets and it’s all very friendly.

£60 per hr is about top rate on 5x, most company’s would charge around an hr to machine that and an hr to program plus the cost of mat’l £140 would be fair for a 1 off like that.

With a 5x you could make a part like that complete in 1 setup. Quick simple and spot on first time.

Not so grumpy 5axis NC programmer 😉

The chilterns, wendover, aston hill are 30 mins away. woburn, brickhill is on your doorstep,
Top rail links both to london and ‘ta north.
You won’t need to go anywhere shopping ever again.
Roundabouts, yep loads but no traffic jams and you can cross the city in just over 10mins even on a busy day.
(most visitors say there is traffic jams but it’s only ever to get into the shopping centre etc at peak times and is usually caused by themselves)
Big parks like willen with Cable wakeboarding, sailing and loads of other watersports.
the snow zone .loads of cinemas.bars-entertainment and restaurants. (especailly good when your younger)
    Loads of young people.
Some very nice towns, Stony Stratford, Newport Pagnell and Bletchley.
    Good roads.
Excellent network of cycle paths, plenty of bike shops, Phil Corleys-Pinks in newport, Chaineys, Evans etc.
Luton airport is 20 mins away.

I’ve been here 20 yrs now and it still ticks all the boxes.

    PDW,

I hate to disappoint but the woman was driving on a really well lit ringroad, you could see for miles,

I also encountered someone from work the other day on the route out from the factory, same thing, she just couldn’t drive without her main beam on full, every time a car came toward her she just stamped on the brakes after her lights dipped (car had auto lights ), the main beam is Bi xenon on that specific car and despite me sitting well back from her and also being able to see a good 500 metres up that particular road she just couldn’t see past her bonnet, no sat nab this time, just poor driving

People who have their **** nav stuck right in the middle of their windscreen !

ITS NOT A BLOODY HUD !!!!

Following someone the other day and she had to slow down every time she had to dip her lights because she couldn’t see out the windscreen because of the glare ! I could read it behind her !!!

    And also,

Red light jumpers !! Even started doing it myself a few months back, after witnessing so many near misses and noticing how many people were also doing it I decided to stop immediately and learn to be patient again.

I love the F1 trolls, they must get so excited when they see a thread appear.

For what it’s worth and for those who really care,

    1. Ferrari have allegedly not gone for anti burst protection on the turbine housing thus saving a fair bit if weight and have instead insisted that any burst will be contained within the natural confines of the turbine. Good luck with that one fellas.

    2. The teams have no idea who’s sandbagging and what their own car is capable of but will know by the end of Sunday.

    skiboy

Ball bagging more like, that’s pretty serious cutting gaping holes in your engine cover like that, I think aero testing has gone right out the window, I’m not sure what they have done wrong but the other Renault teams aren’t suffering so bad, I do know what the problem was in the first week in Bahrain but to not manage a lap today is unbelievable !!

You can’t rule them out yet though, Friday free practice in Melbourne in two weeks could be all they need to get back on top when the solve this current issue, one thing is certain they will apply maximum effort to get it sorted and they are no slouches and very determined.

Williams are doing a damn fine job, mclaren seem capable of spoiling the party too, Fifi will be very competitive and Ferrari are defo sandbagging.

    Glad you saw the irony,

It’s good you bought a watch, don’t understand the way people say you don’t need a watch if you have a phone .

Surely it’s better just to flick your wrist than take a phone out your pocket ?

Technology seems to ignore good old common-sense and were all dragged along with its false ideals

As an owner of both a Casio G shock and a Rolex sea dweller I can state FACT that a Rolex is a without a doubt the better watch.

Haters gonna hate but I’m afraid it’s true.

I’ve worn my dweller nearly everyday for 7yrs and despite it getting scratched it’s now worth approx double what I paid for it,
My Casio on the other hand is hardly marked but I’d be lucky to get half what I paid for it.

    It’s a jay bird migraine,

I get loss of peripheral vision with a feeling of detachment first,

Then progress to the lightning around the edge, this is what American doctors call
    Jay bird.

I then get a loss of what seems like one eyes sight. It’s like seeing everything in mono, depth is distorted, people appear to have only one side of there face !

Freaked the hell out of me the first time I had one.

I’ve had around 10 of those in the last 10 yrs.

I’ve always had migraines but learned over yrs ways of avoiding them or stopping them.

These jaybird migraines in my case occur due to tiredness and not wanting to step of the gas.

I’ve had a awful day too some of which was car related,

But is also quite amusing in places,

First picked up another chip in the windscreen on my two month old car ,only had it repaired 3 weeks ago, my mind was on it when I reversed into the lamppost when I arrived at work !

That was it the start of a crazy day,

While telling my boss about it he informed me that personnel had screwed up my wages and I will be missing a big slice if cash this week but they are working on sorting it,

That really didn’t help and only half hr later I was in the toilet bombing Dresden into submission when one of my work colleagues stepped in to greet me as I had forgot to lock the door,

I then proceeded to crash the work LCA system and mess up all my mornings work,

I went for the usual walk at lunch and was talking to one of my mates when he didn’t answer I turned around and he was cringing at me from the curbside as I had just walked out in front of a car ! It had seen me luckily.

Left work early in order to go home and hit RESET.

Slightly off subject but thought it would be good to share
