I got a haro mary ss (well had been bent in a car accident) ride is aces, nice steel feel, though can be very stiff, but if your going for the xc version the forks will deal with that, i put xt brakes on it as the standard ones are a bit sloppy, but straight out the box fun, and £415 from trinton cycles, i as well pleased,

Yes a A series or lawn mower would be diffrent but all engines have pistons valves etc, well accept Wankals and 2 strokes, but skill will be gained from taking apart anything and restoring it,
but if your confident enough to jump straight in go for it, i found boxes for each part works well, and photos are good

your better off starting on something simple, A series engines are pretty straghty forward, push rods are so much nicer to work with :D , or start on something like a old lawn mower engine (4 stroke one would be good) so you got a basic idea on whats going on, you can pick one of the up for a £10

wouldnt mind if mine looked like that, mine looks like its trying to be a Pace R200 with clown wheels, got some good advice from Bikeline so might get there, get new wheels on the clockwork and sell that, and got a p7 frame and on-one wheels in the shed i can flog to get some cash to fund the new stead. :D

will do, the bike rack would just need two legs as its one of those saris bones 3, think the week old haro marys dead, dont fancy doing any off roadin with dent that big in the down tube, the 10yr old clockwork survived just got a lil more bend in the wheel lol.

I joined 4 years ago, promised the trade i joined up for was a techie trade, but its now its more computer admin, so my Engineering A-levels were a waist of my time, depends what trade u want to go for, just dont got for TG4, would leave but job markets as they are its not worth the risk.

Yea would love to go straight for a Singular but the way im thinking i can buy a complete bike for about £30 more then the singular frame only, and then save the money and upgrade later. plus i can put the parts left from my p7 split onto my clockwork.

Got someone looking at my frame this weekend so one step closer, just need to sell the wheels and Forks, think im pretty set on a Haro Mary then upgrade to a Singular when the pennys come back in.

Have to see what the pennys say, getting married in 2 weeks so budgets tight, hence the Haro Mary look at things. also fancy the ebb route as will be going ss, got a bit stressed out with slidding droupouts.
