    Love the electronic kit.
I agree that wireless is the way forward. A wireless Reverb would be ace.

Try changing gear no handed going down a steep hill at speed.
Try opening a flip phone with bike gloves on next to a river.
    Both end in tears.

Some lovely bikes in here! Love the variation.

My new addition. It really is very good. Just awaiting a dropper and some more subtle decals.

I’ll buy one from you! I’m looking for a 50mm carbon rim in 29” flavour.
Send me an email- khodson (@) essex (.) ac (.) uk

Edit: mine will be for the front of my Stooge too!

Not what I wanted to hear.
Are there any other 29er+ mud tyres in the works?
I might just settle on a Chronicle.

Tim- how much are you charging for Chronicle posted?

That’s really interesting. Thanks for link OP. Would be interesting to breakdown figures by geographic location too.

Could the breakdown of figures that cloudnine mentions be obtained through the Freedom of Information Act 2000?

ETA ?! The winter muck is here so it’s the perfect build once done.

I’ve got a ’14 Five with a Pike and a CCDB air. It’s a fantastic bike. The shock makes all the difference. I think it feels like a much bigger bike, a bit like my ’11 Enduro that had 160mm f&r, but pedals really well. I’d be tempted to go down a class in spec and then upgrade fork and shock to something better.
Frame, fork, shock and wheels are the most important component (IMHO).

Almost as bad as my dad!
He’s bought a Cannondale Scalpel Team and put it in his living room on a chrome stand as a ‘talking point’.
Will he ride it? Maybe once a year to the bakery  .
I need to steal it this winter and make it nice and muddy and return it whilst he’s away

I have to ask- what exactly would a tour of Orange include if you don’t see the frame production? Some offices, a paint booth and a room were components are bolted on? They wouldn’t offer a ‘factory tour’ if that was the case.

By that thinking- why haven’t they added the’Made in Halifax’ tag line to the whole range? hmm.

Utter rubbish  ! Does your friend of a friend of a friend also breed unicorns? Apparently they make the trails come alive.

All the Orange FS bikes are Halifax made. They even have the stickers.

2x rims came in at £265, inc. all duty/tax/postage.

    Has to be a Pike.
Alternatives from Marz, Bos & X-fusion are also very good.
Get something with bigger stantions- 34mm+ and I don’t think you can go wrong.

I like the aesthetics of Cubes but I hear their plagued by reliability and customer service. I’ve seen a few cracked Carbon frames and Alu frames and heard about long turn around times or even warranty rejections in (IMHO) clear cut cases.

I love mine. Only bike I’ve used since I’ve built it up.
I’ve enjoyed messing about in the woods but also some longer rides.
Fits me fine- 173cm with 50mm stem and 740mm bars.

    I’d say around £1300.
It looks like a larger size and it’s not sickradenduro carbon.

Either leave it at home or put it in a ziploc freezer bag.
I bought an old Samsung S3 mini with payg sim and loaded some maps onto it in case I ever get hideously lost.

You’ll probably get £125 for the forks and £200-250 for the frame & shock,

Tubes for me at the moment.
Tend to swap tyres and the cost/faff of changing them when tubless is hideous.
I’ve not had a puncture in over 3000 miles.

Expensive! £75 at current exchange rate. We’ll invariably end up paying closer to £100.

I’ve just gone through my Pinkbike album and picked the top viewed ones.
None are great (too saturated, under exposed, etc.) but I like them.

Can we make this amateur photos only?
Some of the pro shots are so photo-shopped that it would be pointless.

Do you think it will need cutting down at 1500mm?

Matt, wasn’t the yelli I sold you fitted with 140mm Revs?
I thought the yelli and N9 are essentially the same frame so won’t they handle very similarly. How was the yelli with 140mm forks?

Close call between the Kona Explosif 650b and the Stooge in SS guise.
They are very different but both incredibly fun. This time of year I think the Stooge gets it. Simple build, rigid & ss, means I can ride silently and trouble free and put it away until the next ride.

Specialized enduro ’11, On-one SS456 and Inbred, Giant Reign ’09 & Kona Major One. Hated them with a passion.

I went to a manual and the wind caught me. Made for an interesting recovery. Wheels firmly planted on the ground for the rest of the ride.
My I did just over 14 miles but felt more like 30. It was painful going into the wind.

This will work nicely up on the Ridgeway and Swinley. Good price too!
Hate the crankset though- always though they were ugly. I;m sure they are perfectly functional.

    This sounds familiar..
    Doesn’t look like Sams learnt.
