Don’t try and clean the stantion whilst cycling. The gap between the tyre and lowers is small…

How long is postage taking from placing your order?

I’m doing this! Just moved to Colchester.

    My plan is;
    – Colchester to Harwich
    – Harwich to Hook of Holland (Overnight Ferry)
    – Hook of Holland to Kleve
    – Kleve to Bonn
    – Bonn to Frankfurt. Stay at my dads for a while.
    – Cycle back to Hook of Holland taking a different route

I’ll just take a bivi bag and sleeping bag. Hopefully just buy random food along the route. Planning on doing it student cheap too. Just take a map and some euros. Done.

Wow! Hate the originals but I’m actually enjoying all the covers. Good find.

2×10 on my bike. Very very good bit of kit. I used to drop my chain on a double (partly why I went 1×10). Not had any issues on my set up! I’m running the x9 type 2 as well. No need for a bottom roller on a double.

That curtis is stunning! Everything looks perfect.
Some day I’ll get one (in 650b).

Edit- bars look rather narrow in your pics? I know, personal preference.

My friend was looking for his first road bike. Linked him this and we bought the rest online last night.

    -105 groupset
    -Fulcrum 5 wheels
-mash of other bits that where cheap online
= £1250 for a solid, good spec bike.

    Also, post more pictures!

    Done! Graduation present to myself.

(Never built a road bike, only bought complete. Can I use a 105 crank in the pressfit bb? What front mech will I need? Cheers all)

Nearing the end of my MSc and can’t wait to finish!
I loved the subject at the beginning of the year (and before) but this year has really taken the fun out of it. I was considering a PhD in this subject. Glad I didn’t! Best of luck to you though.

Not helpful BUT I’m running 2×10 with 38/24 and 11-36.
I find it a great range. Couldn’t ask for more either side- dosent spin out and climbs can be as easy as you like. I’d imagine you could get similar ratio with 2×9 if you don’t want to upgrade it all.

    Swinley needs nothing more!

Thanks Dangerboy- look good but the ones you’ve linked only have a running time of 30mins.. Seems a bit low? The ones at the top run for 2 hours (apparently).

Are these any good? Looking at some lights that will get me by. These would be my first venture into bike light.

The Fox 36 takes 650b wheel size (as long as its not the 2013 version)with good mud clearance. I’ve got friends who ride the 36 with 2.3” 650b tyres.

Have you had a look at the VW Touran 2.0 Diesel?
My mum has one and it’s a fantastic car. She used to have a galaxy which swallowed everything up but going to VW wasn’t as different as I would have thought (space wise) but the drive is brilliant! Nippy for a diesel with good mpg and lots of space. I borrwed it a while back and put 3 bikes (with rear wheels still attached) in with kit and 3 people for a week away! 7 seats are helpful when we are all together at Christmas.

I’m running 2×10 with a x9 type 2 (same as shimano clutch) and a x7 front mech. No dropped chains despite some ‘radcore’ stuff on a HT. Lovely smooth shifting with minimal drag. Love it! No way will I be running a lower roller ever again.

How about 1×10 with the General Lee conversion? Especially useful if you will be doing xc/allround cycling. I’m looking into this option personally.

Blink 182 at Reading festival a few years ago.
Used to love them as a kid but they were terrible live. Drony and played all the depressing songs. Rubbish set! I ended up in a odd/enterainting rave watching Roots Manuva instead. Great fun.

They suck.. I’m pretty fit so register as obese on the BMI scale but I can run on the crosstrainer for 30 mins and burn over 600 cals (after adding in weight/height/age). I wasn’t sweating half as much as I should be for that figure..

Something by canon. I have a canon G9 and am unbelivably impressed. Cost me just over £100 and is about 6 years old but still gives great photos and awesome functions. I can only imagine a new compact canon would be amazing.

Reminds me of Swinley.. first time I went I did’nt have a clue what was what and ended up just exploring. No flow and was all over the place. Went a couple weeks ago and was so much fun following the blue and the red. It just worked!

Just a follow up- moving into Colchester in two weeks. Managed to get a lovely 2 bed flat.

Where can I find some riding locally 😆 ?!

(My job fell through. It’s not a good time to be a graduate! So still hunting.)

Parked up in a shopping centre. When I got out the car I saw a brand new iphone on the floor. Unlocked it and phoned the persons mum. Bless, she had alzheimer’s so it took us a while to get her daughters husbands number. Quick call and her husband is very grateful. Gives us an address and we sent it recorded (cost us £10 and a bit of time). I wasn’t expecting anything in return. Just a thank you. Received £20 and a nice letter back. Plus an invitation for cream teas and scones if we are ever in the area. Lovely!

For Launceston it has to be an MTB. Some lovely footpaths and quiet country roads (more like farmers tracks). Rest of Kerno would be road bike but North has to be MTB. Enjoy!

Not the same but still a pretty nasty gouge- worse than it looks.
Was absolutely fine for 2+ years and never bothered to repair/fix.
