    XX1 is £750 at merlin.
I imagine X01 will go down to around £500 soon enough..

Could you make something like a bottle cage holder? Is it to brittle for that? Not sure what the max size is for a amateur printer. I’ve got a little project in mind..

Rock Shox Tora- some of the old ones cover all your requirements.
I loved mine. Had a set on my hack bike for 2 years. Very abused and never serviced but they kept on working! Impressed with the perfomance and lockout was brilliant. I only payed £75.

£695! I would have collected in person for that price. To good to believe.

744.5km. All in the sunshine and dust. Not been riding in the rain once.
Mainly to escape dissertation work though.

Not helpful but if you could go further South I can give you lots of info and places to visit around Frankfurt-Am-Mainz. Just let me know.

Not bad. Online quote for house& contents with 2 bikes over £1500. £270!
Far far less than any other I’ve looked at, and that excludes the bikes.

I found that! Bought a 18” recently and noticed that the stand over is lower than on my 17”Kona. Really odd but it feels great and looks lovely.

”650B? They’ll be those bikes you can’t get tyres for anymore. Not that you can now. Which is good as we’ll all have someone to laugh at. And everyone likes someone to laugh at.”- Brant, 6th February 2012, BikeMagic.

Well, I’ve got an app for my dads car.
I can unlock it, start it, open doors/windows, put on heater/aircon.
I imagine that thieves could hack the app easily enough! Don’t think this will change much.

Ignore wheelsize. Test bike. Go with the one that feels right.

I did that and it just happened to be a 650b. Best bike I’ve ever owned but it’s more than just wheel size. Good geo, good fit, good components.

Wonder if my GF will notice the change from the road bike..

Hmm. It’s unbelievably flat here. Think I’d just go for a rider in my boardies and leave the surfboard on route. I’d be on the fat bike 8)

    1. A couple proper at it and not caring.
    2. A lady taking a dump in the middle of the trail.
    3. Power rangers at Swinley.
Probably more but those are the ones that stuck with me.

Did a nice 20km ride with lots of climbing- improving technique really.
Heat went to my head so I ordered a fatty.

I had a basket online full of bits for the chinese build and then pulled the trigger on the fatty. Not sure why.

    Couples Qs-
What brake adapters do I need f&r for 160mm rotors?
    What size seatclamp?
Does on-one give you a tracking number for bike orders?

    Good info here. Thanks!
The last thing I want is for the shop to take the hit.
I was partly curious and partly concerned.
Will just have a chat with them.
    Cheers all.

No, its a HT from a ‘big’ company.

Tyres could be changed- but I love what I’m running now and I have no need to go larger/different.

The BB height is making a difference! Older bikes that sat at 12.4” had a lot less issues on exactly the same stuff.

I might just leave it. Lots of hassle for the poor shop.

I love the frame, just the BB issue. Ideally I’d ask for a frame swap for the new model but the problem is that the rear has now gone 12×142 so i’d need a new rear wheel.

I might have the crank off you with BB if you are selling soon?!

I love that SWAT stuff. Carrying bags and putting stuff in pockets is my pet hate. Wonder if they’ll sell it separate? Not seen any mention as to where the ‘air’ comes from..

I’ve wondered this too. There are lots of bridleways around here that are old (mud) road and have banks either side. The trees have grown so much that it’s almost impossible to ride. A horse/car have no chance.

Does the farmer/landowner have to cut it back? It dosen’t bother me, just curious.
