Spesh glasses discounted here at Hargroves – which ones are recommended?

would think the ones with big section out of the corner of the eye would be annoying – are they?

wohoo its back. It was a USB issue I believe.
Just had someone talk me through doing all kinds of hardware reboots or whatever and changed the cable and bingo f'ing bongo its back

It was important data of which most of it was backed up elsewhere, but I was just in the process of doing the rest when it all went down 😯

Feels pretty sickening. Getting a better system set up as soon as these last files finish copying across.

Thanks so much for your advice.

I have that saddle saddle (it is the swallow) and I also have a Fizik Gobi that fits me nicely. Haven't ridden my Brooks much at all yet though as I'm waiting to build a new bike to put it on.

You'll be paying around £200 (with ti rails) for one new though.

    I'm in the Reading area.

    I have an HD2.

As said should do most of what you want.

Great screen – wanted for Anquet mapping – although the GPS locator doesn't work with it….yet. Google maps is great tho.

    Twitter doesn't work with mine.

Most things are ok, but there are a few annoying operating problems sometimes. However Windows 7 may be available as an upgrade on it sometime (I hope).

Very happy, but then I also don't worry about having lots of apps.

ha ha know what you mean re paying to cycle where you live – the point is its for charity and the route is signed, marshaled and supported.
An entry fee is fair enough (you don't pay the sponsorship).

It starts in Newport, so uses the Tennyson Trail to go west.

Weather should be good again by then. Looking forward to it, but haven't been able to do any riding (I won't even bother to say training) for a while now!!! 😯

'There is no difference from walking round threatening people with a knife, a gun or any other lethal weapon'.

As FB said, there is. A vehicle is by far the best way to attack someone. Very safe for the driver and you get off VERY lightly.

Hear too many cases of people deliberately driving into (even over) people, causing serious damage, leaving them, getting caught eventually and getting off with just a fine and points of license!!!!!

    Madness I tell thee

    excellent, thanks.

yeah, didn't like the look of some road sections (especally as I would be doing it with kids).

sounds like they don't have signs up saying keep off the footpath, and the official guide only says it was designed for walkers, and the cycle route is more suited for bicycles – nothing about not being allowed to ride it.

yeah the last 25km is great fun. I love the descent to Porlock.

You WILL be using the granny ring a lot towards the end so its worth taking some lube!!

    singletracksurfer

It is a toughie but suprisingly the majority of riders attempted the full 100km distance – and most of them made it.

REALLY bad weather in the week up to the event meant a few changes to the route on the day e.g. road over the back of the moors, so it was made slightly easier.

The route is designed so that you can drop the distance to 75km near the end of the 100km if it is too much.

NOTE: The last 25km of the 100km is very tough.

p.s. They don't lie about the hills.
