my 7-day shop 2900’s were rubbish, VERY short life and lost charge VERY quickly when not in use. Binned them (which is a big deal for someone as tight like myself) and got some Duracell (and some Panasonic ones) which are waaay better (2800 I think, off flea-bay).

camera case and free silicon cover then choose/add your preferred method of fixing. helmet for me (cos it was the cheapest), but will try the chest one in the new year as people recommended it.

got the sat map with full uk mapping and its great. agree that its not the greatest for showing you where to go but nice big clear screen, easy to use and battery lasts a very long day in the saddle but you need a charger or spare aa batteries. replaceable screen is very handy too 😆

£399 with full uk map here http://www.roughrideguide.co.uk/mtb-gadgets.html

no map on me so no names (email if you need more info) but there is lots of good stuff (singletrack rather than steep stuff tho) close by. try woods (west) by versaille and the forest south of paris.

Chapel Gate is anothe gnarly fun one, ends down at Barber Booth.

ow that could be painful 😯

It doesn’t just happen to 29’ers, so not a lot i’d guess.

    p.s. I still want one.

Sat Map 10 (bike) version is excellent.

Has loadsa stats to choose from/look at while you ride(!) but no cadence.

hmm the stokemonkey motor and xtracycle kits look interesting.

soo many options now. thought it would be a simple – you need this one sir. not going to be a quick impulsive buy then. will look into all the options a bit more now then.

    thanks.

excellent. think I might plan to do that i.e. bike seat and handles on back of that (somehow) or is there any way to fit the bike seat onto the back of the deck (so handles can go on the seatpost)?

cool. I have a trailer for 2 kids but have found it pretty dangerous on the roads in the mornings as car drivers are sleepy, impatient, unaware and ****ts. Also the larger boy is getting too big for it!

I like the idea of that for other rides though. elecy motor will be handy for that lot too.

    What bike is that Stoner?

Whats the best way to get 2 kids on the back?
I have a bike seat (which the younger one just fits in still), but also seen ‘ickle bars on the seatpost which looks neat.

Are there any legal issues with kids on the back?

edit: like the video. looks good system for firetrack rides.

ah ok. please post when you’ve tried it out. Thanks.

shame it comes with a whopping great (unncessary) battery.
suppose it can act as a back up for the main light though.

ah ok thanks. so when everyone keeps saying the spokeshirt lights are great vfm, the dx ones are super superb vfm!

anyone tried the mickey mouse ear ones from dx – any good or not worth it?

    Aren’t the lights from http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.44676
the same as the lights from Spokeshirt but half the price at dx? 😕

aha that alligator looks good – anyone got/used one or know why they wouldn’t include Avid if they do Formula and Shimano for that reason – they’re dead simple.

    Thanks.

thats the kit I was thinking of (hadn’t seen the compatable brakes listed before).

Looks like I just need to find/blag some fixings for Avids/Formulas with this kit then – is that right/possible?

    Thanks
