You can also buy BB's that don't use threads a mate of mine has one in his SS bike as he did the same thing, a company called Acor used to do a square taper one.

Treat buying a pair of trainers like you would buying a bike, after all they are a mode of transport too. Do your research, find the best pair for your money and look at your current shoes for where they have worn out and buy accordingly, Try letting someone look at your shoes you don't have to buy anything but you do get to try them before you buy.

Did he say why he did it?

Is it in your tenacy agreement that you can/can't keep bikes in your room?

Should have elaborated but in my uncles case it was done properly, though lawyers, courts and debt collection agencies. Not big men with big bats and transit vans

    1. you doing something illegal
    2. you haven't paid bills for a few months

My uncle was renting a house out, the tenents wouldn't pay up, went for a few months then he went round when they weren't removed everything and changed the locks, left it all outside in boxes.

but thats about it, like i said most cases its a no

My brother in law go them to install the bb in a frame he's just bought,

Might be something to ask them in the "notes" section of the order,

Don't hold your breath when calling them will takes ages to get through

I've sold a few bikes over the years and had always had good experiences. Just be honest, take loads of pictures and list everything,

I sent the bike with Parcelkings and it cost me £5.99 (they are an agent for parcelforce)

Make sure you don't take any sh!t either, tire kickers hagglers etc.

You will encounter awkward people, I sold a bike at the end of Feb and got an email tuesday saying the rear brake caliper has started to leak and he wants £50 off me to fix it.

Fixed + rear brake = bad idea

Any 135mm disc hub will work fixed in the frame if you use a velosolo disc mount sproket. i ran one on my pro 2 hub till i decided it was a bad idea off road

When you buy wine do you buy the cheapest? because it gets you pissed like the rest of them.

NO so why should you buy a cheap bike because you have just started riding, maybe because it makes you feel good, gives you a smoother ride and gives you a big smile.

I work in Engineering and since i started at my current place of work i have got a few guys into riding they have all spent over a grand on bikes, First bikes because they appriciate the technology and work that has gone into them, only 1 of 4 got up the first climb at Dalby but everyone of them had an awesome day.

As a peak local i can confirm that you are talking 100% bollox. My sealed cables work well and are super smooth. Just need installing by someone other than a ham fisted monkey

I bought a set of gore last september for brakes and gears on my commuter bike and they lasted through the winter of salt and snow and a couple of laps of dalby. still working 100% now, i've never had a full length cable that i've ran before in 7 years of commuting get me through a North Yorkshire Moors winter.

If you do want full length cables onzadog came up with some good suggestions

Have you checked the chainline. If the chainring is on the outside rather than middle as soon as he goes up gears it will pull it off,

I've had a few sets over the years and really like them, I've found to get the best out of them, Bend them with an adjustable so they are toed in slightly and use kool stop salmon pads and they work a treat in any weather.

If you ride from sutton bank to cleveland way make sure you take a left turn at boltby wood down the briddleway to cowesby, theres some fantastic downhill singletrack along there, then take the road to kepwick up kepwick bank, you'll rejoin the cleveland way there, the decent down black hambleton is also a good one to chequers cafe. there are some really good pubs in Osmotherly that sell top notch beer. Let me know if I can help any more as i live a couple of miles from there and ride it every week or so!

The forks are "OE sourced" which is diferent to "OEM Forks" They where bought diferently rather than made diferently

SO when they say they are FOX 32 Float RLC you get FOX Float RLC

If that has put you off On-one you will struggle to buy any parts anywhere as OE sourced, OEM parts and grey imports are every where.

I honestly do not think On-one have done a thing wrong. No one gets arsey with Hope because you don't get QR's with their wheels

    Singlespeed_Shep

I think i have the QR version of this, Its the same as a stout hub,

    http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=21670

This is what came on my dt swiss wheels, so won't go through a pro 2 unless you get something to adapt

Oem forks can be diferent to general sale forks and the name usually leads you to that conclusion. Specialized for example use OEM fox forks that fit the geometry of the frame they are fitted to, same with Gary Fisher and their G2 technolgy. This can be so that the brand can cut costs For example asking for 1000 fox f90 forks but without lockout to save money.

But On-one where selling Fox 32 140 RL, which is exactly what you got, not a fork that was specially adapted.

The whole pump argument in my opinion is a waste of time as you have just saved £400.

I would like to say i've had 5 plus frames from on-one, and placed countless orderes with them and always even with daft queeries been really pleased with their service and willingness to help, thats why i go back and recommend them.

If you have a drill and hellicoil it wont be a problem.

Drill old threads out then slide a coil in and tighten

Most engineering website will sell them

    Singlespeed_Shep

    Yep Not a problem

I used to use a Dmr chain device with square taper on my old lts

Most chain devices came out before external bbs
