Yeah your right I keep forgetting the Americans won it.

You have to admit though WW2 was a big deal and the Germans where being proper dicks.

My Grandad is still mega pissed over it.

My brother is in berlin and hes says its amazing how many times they have shown Germany beating England in World cups so its the same in any country.

I ment anything in regards to use, Ie driving without insurance.

You may own an item but laws are set in place with what you do with it

Car is probally not the best example.

With the car i ment just becuase you own it you can't do "anything" you want with it.

    Singlespeed_Shep

    Yes it is Illegal

If it wasn't don't you think the likes of blockbuster would have figured it out and not paid 5x the price for rental ones.

If you own a car it doesn't mean you can do what you want with it.

Mine was one of these, almost exact same, (darker green) still got it.

    Lovely bike.

Not really any diference that you'd notice, you'd probally be better with 6 bolt so you could use your current rotors.

I saw them At Dalby last night, They where really good.

Didn't think much of the support bands but wasn't there to see them.
I'd take your own drinks as at Dalby the beer was well flat as they where pouring it well before it was sold. (I made use of my STW hipflask as cans and bottles where banned)

But all in all a really good atmosphere and a good performance.

BTW my other half is the Keane fan so i'm in a similar boat to you.

    Ride at your own pace,
Drink and eat lots, (there are feed stations to top you up)
Don't worry about the "racers" that chrge their way round,
    Ride within your limits.

Enjoy it. I've done a fair few and they are great fun.

Also As Allthegear said there will be some bottlenecks that will take some time to get through.

Are you putting the BB in too tight to deform them?

A word of warning though oil will go all over make sure you have something to drain it all into.

From memory i took the crown off first then undid the allen key on the bottom of the leg then take an adjustable to the adjusters on the top. Something similar to that should sort it.

I'd email ID or Billys (where i got mine from I think) they might have some. I had a quick scan though my instructions box but haven't kept any.

Even look for a reveiw on google or old Mbuks for mk1 Hydes

From memory i believe the MK1 became the MR Hyde which i had in the day. So you might find some info that way.

    I ran mine with 130mm z3 qr20's fine.

Marzocchis of that age where very simple to maintain (if coil) so i'd just be tempted to take them apart and see what you can do with them, You haven't lost much if they are knackered and they are a pretty decent fork if working. Probally wouldn't bother sending them off to get serviced put the money into a frame and fork respray at Bob Jacksons or Argos.

I think its a great bike for the money, All quality parts.

Can't see any problems with the brakes, and flat bars are generally a better choice for commuting esp in towns. Cranks are very good had them on my last bike.

Go give one a test ride.

Google his email and his address

Email will bring up facebook, myspace etc (possibly)

Address could bring up other problems

If in doubt, don't in this situation.

I think if theres alot of you pissed i'm sure they might find something to do you for.

Just ring the police and ask. if they its fine get the coppers name and do what you want.

I grew up on a farm 150 yards from the NOrth Yorkshire police headquarters and have done it 1000's of times and not been told otherwise.

I'd say about £100 to, Buts its worth what someone is willing to pay none of us want it.

Unfortunetly it is only mid range so the only thing going for it is that it is made by dawes (not sure if the discovery is made china back then)

    What are the roads like?

If they are anything like the cobbled streets of York the Bromptons small wheels would be nightmare.

The fold should be the least of your worries you spend more time riding it than folding it, They all pretty much fold small enough.

I just pissed myself laughin at this thread.

Clubber i can see your point that yes people do refere to aluminium frames as "Alloy" but thats because they don't understand the term.

The numbers in 6061 and 7075 (Aluminium) and 4130, DN6 853 etc (steel) indicate what the tubes are made of. This is because pure Steel, Aluminium and Titanium are generally unsuitable for frame building so they have to be mixed with another metal to be more effective, Hense Alloy.

I'm sure someone will be able to do a better job of saying all that.

Another vote for Sandsend, good bridleway from the village going to either whitby in south or up to teeside.

Moors, Dalby, wykham and Guisborough are all within easy reach.

Rig rolls, Flapjack, Malt Loaf, prefere all that along with haribo and jelly badies for emergencies rather than energy bars.

I once rode with a chap (the big Mr O) who drank warm vimto from a thermos on chilly winter rides. Loveley

I rang a few places today and its gonna be ages, wait on tyre and pugsley fork is at least two months.

Did you all use the Surly rim? the Jeff Jones wheel uses a 50mm and Onza make a 50mm so was wondering if that would work.

    Thanks for the advice.

My mum works in a "proper" Jewellers and they don't charge.

You'd be better taking to an esbalished business that has experience with antiques and quality items than H Samuals who are just above Argos in my books.

There you will get a more acurate value and probally some history.
